OFF TO WHANGAREI!

During this trip away, I am going to try and do little updates during the day on my phone.

So posts might be looking a bit different... but I will do my best to do a proper update in the evenings.

Hopefully with photos too.  I'm going to be relying on Wi Fi in the motels.
I've not done that before.

Today is our 1 year Anniversary of living in Cambridge.   It sure does not feel like we have been here a full year ... and now, we are going away!  
It's been an awesome year... and we are both still utterly thrilled being here, we love our new home.

And on that note... off we go!

ONWARD...

Hee hee... first stop. MATAKANA markets. Bought some chutneys and something for our garden. 

Now on to Wellsford for a late lunch.

2.15 pm.... held off having lunch till we arrived in Whangarei. It's lovely sitting outside enjoying the marina view.

 ABOVE:  Up and over the harbour bridge, first time in a year!

ABOVE:  I bought something from this stall at the Matakana Market.

 ABOVE:  I just loved this little open fire... and am totally going to try and make us one... at some point.  I really love the smell of wood buring.

ABOVE:  Leaving Matakana with a little something... we got some lovely chutney too.

 ABOVE:  Stew had to do a U-turn on the main road at Kaiwaka!  I spied this patchwork shop!
I was very restrained and only bought a pattern and a little something for someone else.  *smiles*

ABOVE:  The view from our lunch cafe.  Very nice.  A bit cool... so we ended up going inside.

We are now at our motel and relaxing. I might even have a nap! lol

So Stewy is watching rugby... then after that I get to watch Coronation Street. Then bed.
