First up... Brylee's school Drama Production:
Apparently she was feeling a bit shaky before the start, but was fine during the performance.
But afterwards was a bit different.
She sure is a DRAMA QUEEN!...
ABOVE: She fainted. Or collapsed. Or something'ed. LOL.
ABOVE: She certainly seemed to come around just fine when I got out my camera! 'Little Drama Queen'!
She probably was just a bit dehydrated, hungry and the show nerves got to her finally.
She recovered just fine I'm happy to say.
NOW... super excited to say I'm going to another 'Show' today!
ABOVE: It's the annual Craft and Quilt show in Hamilton... today is the first day of 4 days. I'm going to be at the door bang on 10 o'clock this morning! Can't wait.
OOOOooo, I wonder what treasure I will find?
ABOVE: Here's our Kelly and my Mum. Kelly's over in Coffs Harbour, Australia right now visiting her.
Right, let's be getting on with today...
ONWARD...
Well.... while the cats away and all that! Cranky....REALLY? Like OH MY... I thought you were a FRIEND? Me thinks not.
On to now... the show is quite small this year! Hardly any fabric stalls 😣 I have managed to find a few things to get though... so I'm happy.
I bet ya all want to see what I bought eh?
Well here goes:
ABOVE: I told you it wasn't much!
NO need for a trolley... lol.
ABOVE: Some new snips/scissors and those two little round things are for clipping onto your top and hanging a pair of snips off. There's a retractable string so you can use the snips, then just whizz them back up, out of the way.
ABOVE: Totally needed one of these! For holding large spools of thread.
So happy to have seen and bought it.
ABOVE: I've always wanted a pin cushion to wear on my wrist. Yep, I could have made one easily... but I didn't. *smiles*
ABOVE: 3 patterns that I just love. I could have sourced picture of animals off the web of course (and have done), but they caught my eye and I decided to get them.... seeing as I bought NO FABRIC!!!!
Amazing. No fabric. I so though I would get heaps of fabric, but sadly, there just wasn't any large bolts of fabric for sale, mostly just fat quarters, and OMG, I've got enough of those!
Well, it's been a lovely day... mostly.
I'm very happy with my purchases from the Fair. Now it's almost time for bed.
Glad Brylee was ok. Look forward to hearing about the show. May go on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's really cruel, Chris. Totally shaming Brylee there. Why don't you just say she did a good job and you're proud of her? You're mentioning her by name and putting her school details on an open blog...not fair on her. if I was her I'd never forgive you. 😡
ReplyDeleteBrylee is a drama queen, try living with her and putting up with half of the teenage crap she does....sorry not trying to snap or whatever but mum not shaming her mums just doing what mum does and putting stuff in the blog.....dont like it don't read it, it's that simple.....and compared to everything else fucked up going on around the country atm that is Nothing.
Deleterant over, thank you for your time
She's a teenager, most teenagers are exactly the same. Doesn't mean she deserves to be publicly shamed.
DeleteAnd before all the haters comment, cast your mind back to when you were a teenager! How would you have liked this?
ReplyDeleteHaving checked with MY DAUGHTER....she doesn't mind todays post AT ALL. She thinks it's FUNNY. Before you go attacking me on MY BLOG... think first.
DeleteWhoever Cranky is she doesn't know your family very well. I can imagine Brylees response. It wasn't shaming her at all.
DeleteHave a great time today Chris, hope you take a trolley to cart all of your purchases
ReplyDeleteOMG if you dont like what you see on mums blog then dont read it... for some of our family this is the only way we can see what is happening...... Kelly
ReplyDeleteDont forget what I asked you NOT to do while you are over there Kels. I like your comment though. *smiles*
DeleteCongrats to Brylee on her performance. The only time I was ever on stage in school was when I was 7. I had long hair and they had a magician. He made my hair stand up on end and the kids all died laughing???? I hope you had a good time at your other show. You certainly have a lovely daughter and Mother.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Brylee's performance went well. We generally have a fainter or a poker at some stage during show weeks, overtired, adrenaline and often not enough water & proper food during long rehearsals and reliance on energy drinks and junk food. Even when I was good Mummy & packed lots of proper food, somehow they managed to eat lots of crap :-).
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what Brylees next show is, has she thought about joining a theatre company, or even musical theatre, she will make heaps of friends and gives her something to focus on.
Yes I am a friend, a friend who is HONEST. If you don't want honesty just let me know. You'd have no hesitation in being honest with me if you thought I was being a bitch!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't diss you on your FB or blog (if you had one), that's for sure. You comment was uncalled for and not something I would expect from a friend. End of. RWYS
DeleteHear hear!
DeleteI will be publishing NO MORE comments that continue the contentious thread above.
ReplyDeleteLove the animal quilt characters too cute!!
ReplyDeleteOmg I love the quilt patterns I can see the next name bumper ☺. haha
ReplyDeleteI have exactly the same wrist pincushion. Good purchases-sometimes it's just as much fun finding treasures that aren't fabric!!Love the patterns.
ReplyDeleteYes... mother I know. And I have not shown.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine went to the quilt show she came away no fabric either, but bought a few things, I like the wrist pin cushion that's cute. Glad to see you're getting into the sewing buzz again... END of the UFO me thinks soon...
ReplyDeleteWhat, not even Milton? I thought he would be there.
ReplyDeleteOH yes, Milton was there, but he was almost the only stall holder with bolts of fabric. I went out to his shop only last week or the week before, so didn't need any of his fabrics.
DeleteI'm glad Brylee is ok - you guys sure do have excitement! RE: the pincushion, sometimes stuff is just easier to buy. You can concentrate on your quilting that way. :)
