SHUSH, NO ONE SAY ANYTHING!

I. HAVE. DECIDED. TO... rejoin bloody Weight Watchers...AGAIN....

I can't do it on my own.
I hate going to the doctor's to weigh in, he sucks.

I have been thinking.... join the gym OR Weight Watchers...
Weight Watchers works for me... so does the gym... the difference this time HERE IN AUCKLAND is that I will know someone at WW! The tutor at our Patchwork class is going to the Manurewa meeting... so I will know someone.

So ... tonight I am going again! God help me.... this will be the FOURTH time I have 'rejoined' since I moved to Auckland! Stew is going to come home early so I don't have to take the kids with me...neat!

It's a momentous decision for me as I had kinda vowed to myself that I would never go to WW again! .... but...I am a girl and we CAN AND DO change our minds.

Today will be just an 'around home' sorta day. Will no doubt finish the star blocks.... then wait for the sashing material to arrive in the shop so I can get on with the next step.

I was given another award today:

Thank you Coffee Bean! I'm supposed to pass it on to 10 deserving blogger girls... .but because I soooo can't choose only 10... I give it to anyone who is a regular commentor on my blog! There, DONE!

Today... I am cold! I am even crabbier when I am cold. This is so not a good thing.

I'm now heading down to the garage to finish making the star blocks, and to do a bit of tidying up down there!

I have been talking to me Mum... above is their house (left of the arrow)... the red arrow shows where their big landslid is. She is still having her first coffee of the day, so they havn't been outside to see if there is any more damage yet. At least they are OK.

Apparently there were hundreds of people trapped in the city and couldn't go home due to floods and landslides. They are calling it a '1 in 100 year weather bomb'.... hopefully no one has lost their life over there due to it.

For those who don't know... my Mum lives in Coffs Harbour, Australia.

I have been a good wee wifey today..I ironed! YES STEW... you read right!

I am not looking forward to WW tonight... nervous... hope their scales show less than mine! MINE ARE EVIL LITTLE BUGGERS.

Well ... I did it! And their scales were NICER than mine! Now let's see what I can do this coming week!

End of Day: a neat day really... feeling positive this time that I will stick with this WW's group. It sure helps to know someone there who actually talks to you! nite nite.

  1. good luck with WW. I find it still works for me and the discipline of counting points seems to be the best way I know to keep the weight off.

  3. I know I'm not supposed to say anything, but I think you are awesome. It takes a lot to have the courage to do something like that. The first step or week or so is always the hardest! But you knew that. :]

I am on the same roller coaster with you.

  4. Whatever works Chris. You know yourself best, and if WW is what will help you, go for it!

Personally, I think I should have my jaw wired shut...nothing works for me. I did loose 40 lbs once when I had Mono...maybe I should try to get that again...

  8. Only 4 - Iv'e lost count of mine but it would be over 10. I think I would now qualify for shares in the bloomin company!!!

I saw all the mayhem in Coffs Harbour on TV, it's pretty bad, there saying it's one of those "Hundred Year Floods". I hope your Mum dosent have to much damage/trouble.

  9. Four times!! Are you going for the record. You know it works you just need to get in the right frame of mind again. Something to kickstart you again.

Where is the landslide you're talking about. Did I miss something.

  10. I am rejoining soon too. I learned the hard way that the only way for me to lose weight is if I have to answer to someone else once a week. If I answer to myself, I won't do it.

  11. Hey I joined or should I say rejoined WW last week. This week hasn't been all on track but I've walked more and eaten less so we'll see on Friday. Glad your Mum is okay ... weird stuff happening with weather over there! Can't wait to see what fabric you've chosen for your star quilt. You deserve the award Chris. Your blog is simply the best!

    Chris,

I know people that have joined and rejoined 15 or 20 times, it doesn't matter, it's bloody hard to find the motivation, but just take it one day at a time, if you mess up, just start again as if nothing happened, I don't believe in cutting back points if I have eaten too many on one day.. That makes it seem like a punishment, and that is a negative.

  13. Your poor mum will be feeling a bit wet. They are thinking of declaring it a disaster area. And here in Adelaide we are scorched dry!

Good luck with WW. I did them a few years ago, but as soon as I stopped regular exercise I put it all back on. But it does work, and it is so much easier in a group. Good that you have someone you know going.

Here's to your first KG loss! xx

  16. Hey Chris! Thanks for stopping by. It's always a treat for me to read your comments. (Did I say treat? Sorry...must be thinking about food, agan!)

You go, sister! WW is an awesome program that also gets me healthy. When I feel good about being healthy, then the pounds do their thing.

I am with you on this and will be happy to commiserate or celebrate as we both work at making ourselves better tarts!

    Best of luck!!

  23. Congrats on getting back to WW and back on the wagon. The first step is the hardest, right? This is it!

  24. Yeah for you being motivated to do the whole WW thing again! I know you can do it!

  25. Good luck with the WW this time. You are right, it DOES help that there is someone in there to talk with. I have re-joined numerous times but now am just doing it on my own. I have lost 24lbs since last August (slow..I know) and now that I have joined the gym it seems to be coming off much faster. I only quit going to the meetings because there was noone there that I knew and they didn't seem to want to chat, only listen to the leader. Anyways, I do wish you ALL the luck..have a great rest of the day :)

  26. Good luck with WW. You can do it! Ok how cold are we talking about? Bet it would feel just like summer for me. All the best on your journey.

  27. Ok, I see from the pic why you are particularly concerned. I would not want to live near the bottom of a hill like that during a landslide. I'm glad she's ok for now... thanks for updating!

  28. I know if I started back it would be my fourth time as well...and I know I can't do it on my own because I have proven that by gaining back every stinkin' pound!!!! HOLY CRAP! Good luck!
