THE KITCHEN REVEAL...

Today you are getting a video of our kitchen/dining/family room.
I hope you like it.

ABOVE:  All done in here.

I will do more little videos of rooms as they are completed too.

Today... I'm going shopping again.

Groceries for Christmas this time.  We will have Steve and his family here for about 2 weeks, so I  need to stock up a bit.

Steve is coming down so he can help his Dad with the pool area preparation, and maybe even install it?  There's also a few other little jobs he will be helping Stew with.
We actually have less to do here in relation to 'settling in' than we had in Cambridge, so he will get a holiday too I hope.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm taking the next few days 'off'.  I'm tired to the bone.
When Bex gets here she is going to help me unpack all the Sewing Room/Craft stuff piled up in the garage.

Steve and Bex are also going to put up the Christmas Tree and Decorations.  What a relief.  I'm sure I told you that yesterday!  lol

Right, I am going to roll over and cat nap for a bit longer.

ONWARD...

Woke up at 3.45 am today. Have not really been asleep since.
I got up and moved a couple of things (as you all know I will do over and over again)... then took off to town for a few things.

I got more boxes to hold stuff in the Studio (formerly known as The Sewing Room), then went to the Base for Ice Cube makers.
Then back to Pak N Save for groceries.
So, a busy morning really.

ANON:  Yes I did take Magnesium last night.  I've been taking it every night for about a week and no more cramps!  Thank goodness for that.

I've been fluffing around this afternoon, not doing too much.

ABOVE: These are the boxes I got this morning.  I already had half of them... but now I've filled up this shelving unit.  I'm going to be putting my fabric scraps in them, plus who knows what else?
It will keep them all tidy.
And I love TIDY.  *smiles*

ABOVE: Proof I have NOT started sorting out the sewing/craft stuff!

Though I DID tidy up the sewing machine table's drawers.  I'd thrown all sorts in them when packing.  What a mess!

10.45 pm:  And it's the end of the day and I'm hoping like hell I get a better sleep tonight.  Waking at 3.45 am is not fun.  I'm dead on my feet!
Catch ya tomorrow.

  1. No bitch slapping necessary - I'm glad you moved that picture and it's lovely that you can see it from where you sit. You have the kitchen well organised. Is that hob an induction? You said it went fast... my daughter has induction and it's as fast as gas.

    1. We are pretty sure it is an Induction Cook Top as it is super fast, and a dream to use.

    2. Chris induction cooktops only work with special induction pans I think it is like mine a good electric ceramic cooktop. You buy special cleaner that makes it easy to clean too

    3. Yes, you'll know if it's induction as certain pans won't work - I think aluminium? I know stainless steel and cast iron. It might pay to be sure in case you buy something that doesn't work! I know my good Tefal heavy based frypan doesn't work on induction.

  5. My front room, study, and hallway are all that very same dusty sort of pale pink - here in the US! It is a nice color, actually, because it goes with a lot of my decor. Your home looks so very chic and cozy! Congratulations on settling in so quickly and good luck on getting the rest in place. I love that picture you can see from your chair! Just so Cheerful! Thank you for your post!

  8. Looks great. Feels so welcoming and happy. My mum used to call that shade of pink "mushroom". Goes with so much and warmer than plain white.
Enjoy your down time. You deserve it. But I wonder how much you will actually NOT do!!!
