It would appear that 'Anonymous' is gunna get a table made for me front door area!

So 'Anonymous'.... tell your Fiance' Tim that I am thrilled to bits that he's going to make me a table! Oh and Lacy...look after that guy cos he's amazing... I take my hat off to any guy who can stand you, let alone want to marry you! (said with EVER SO MUCH LOVE)! *smiles*

Dimensions: 40 inches long, 14 inches wide, height ? As for where it is to go... and what I kinda like....

It would go on the left-hand side of the door where the umbrellas are... and ideally would be rectangular in shape, with a solid metal top so it didn't rot in the rain! And it might be nice if it had something at the end to hold the umbrellas?
As to my tastes! Well nothing too fussy, these two are nice... (above and below)...But you can do whatever you want! A bottom shelf would be nice too... for 'stuff'... ya know!

Now that's done.... today:

- Wait for repairman to come and fix the gas cooktop

- Teddy to Groomers

- bloody housework.

I took Teddy to the groomers... he pissed on their floor the minute he got there.. me thinks he does not like being there! And now...

He's not talking to me ... they shaved him like a sheep! Poor boy.

While Teddy was being butchered, I met Stew for lunch at Sylvia Park... where these guys parked next to my GORGEOUS ROXY:

While at Sylvia Park we looked at a little something we might buy... maybe tomorrow.... hee hee he.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT...

But I'm actually LOOKING forward to going to the gym this morning!
It is becoming a 'normal' part of my routine again... and this is friggin fabulous.

I also feel so much better for it already. Well OK, some of me muscles don't like me much.... but too bloody bad! I want to run up the stairs again without feeling knackered!

I may be 50, but damned if I'm gunna act it!

In fact I'm sure I don't act 50!

Not sure what else I will get up to today... but I hope to catch up on a few blogs.... watch out for me!

Home from gym and the phone rings.. it's the lady who is trying to find out what is wrong with my sewing machine... and she keeps asking me the most idiotic questions... like "Are you threading it right, what cotton do you use, is it getting too hot?"... and she wants me to travel across the city to her workshop and show her how I thread it! Ummmm, excuse me but I'm not a bloody fool! I do know how to thread a sewing machine! Grrrrr.... so anyway, she's going it keep it a bit longer and try and get it to misbehave ...

What else? Oh yeah, we have had problems with the Gas Cooktop since we moved here, so I finally rang the servicemen, and someone is going to come out tomorrow to look at it..... $95 callout fee, $20 for every 15 minutes while here, $1.60 per kilometre to get here... and $? for parts! Shit, I am now wondering if it would be cheaper to just buy a new Cooktop!

So that's me day so far, quite a few frustrations... and a good workout! Thank God something is good eh?

I have patchwork class today.
And NO MACHINE.
I don't know what I will do.
Maybe I won't go.
Maybe I'll go SHOPPING instead?
Or maybe I will go and do some planning....

BOBBI: I never talk about my weight because it drives me nuts! I am constantly losing then regaining the same 3 kilos! This year I started out at 'XY' kilos, and I"m STILL 'XY' kilos! So, right now I'm concentrating on getting my fitness back, which will hopefully in turn help with the motivation to pull me finger out once and for all and get back on the weight loss wagon properly.

SLYDE: just stay home and relax? Are you kidding? I'd have to do SOMETHING, even if it was the bloody dusting!

Right... I went to class.. I did some preparation work on my Indonesian panel ... which will eventually be a wall-hanging.

I got mad as hell with one of the ladies there... she has ADVICE on everything .. and seems to think she knows friggin everything! If looks could KILL, she'd be QUITE DEAD by now I tell ya! (I don't mind people giving me advice if they are asked for it, and know jack-shit about it!)

What else? Oh yes, I did go shopping! I bought the ABOVE bag to use at gym... I needed something that would hold me towels/togs/goggles/toiletries etc. Shame it's not a pretty blue... *sigh*.

(YES Stew, it's a 'Label' bag, and NO STEW, it didn't cost the earth!)

End of Day: kids had swimming this afternoon, then home .. dinner... bit of mindless TV.... (loving Outrageous Fortune!)... now... nite nite time.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS...

That blasted sewing machine has behaved itself all weekend, and now I don't know if I should take it in or not!
I keep thinking though that if I don't and it plays up again I have just delayed the inevitable?

So... maybe I will. *sigh*.... it's so annoying cos I just KNOW it probably won't play up for the repairman... and I will look like a twit complaining about nothing... BUT it does play up sometimes!

So, I will drive all the way over to the shop, then go to the gym I suppose. Grrrrrr. I hate not being sure about something.

At least I will enjoy the gym.... and the swim with me new goggles. AND I won't put friggin mascara on...

Because.....This is not a good look !

Just back from the gym, where I had an awesome workout and swim.... and now I am going to take the machine to the shop I suppose.

I took the bloody thing in.. it will be away for about a week, maybe longer. No offer was made of a loaner machine... so no sewing for me till it comes back. *shrugging shoulders* I'm over it.

Did a bit of retail thereapy, got some exercise shorts and 3/4 pants. Had lunch at Botany Downs.... home now and almost time to go and get the kids. OH Yaaaa. The day has simply flown by already!

OH hell, I must be bored! I just did some friggin DUSTING....

I'm sleeping in...

Wooo HOOO!!!... I got a sleep in, AND I didn't get woken up by any hot flushes overnight either! FREAKING AWESOME.

Today... well it's another miserable winter's day here, wet and dull... so another day puddling around home.
Well.. we will go do a grocery shop this morning I reckon.. then chill out at home.

Grocery shopping done... all put away, now it's housework time. Oh joy. NOT. At least Stew gets to do the microwaves.


WE went out.. we all had an ice cream.. then we went and bought some new swimming goggles for me... and the above CHIEFS shirts for the boys. The Chiefs (for you who don't know) is the name of the Provincial Rugby Team from the Waikato, where we originally come from. We support the Chiefs, they are in the Super 14 Rugby Competition here in New Zealand. The ALL BLACK RUGBY TEAM is made up from men from the Provincial teams. Stew is Rugby MAD! Me, not so much, though I do support our All Blacks!


Home now.. and I've just put lamb chops and veges in the oven... with heaps of mint sauce.... yummmmm.

I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT

After gym this morning I am going to make a start on these two little cuties! I'm taking a break from the bigger projects for a few days... it will be nice to make something little and cute.

I got the material for them the other day... not a perfect match with the pictures, but close enough. I have no idea who will get them once they are made... but it can't hurt to have a few gifts like this tucked away for when needed eh?

Anyway... time to get moving... lunches, kids to school... and my sorry butt to the gym. "JUST DO IT... just do it.... ".... works for me.

Gym today was really hard.. everything still hurt from Wednesday's workout! ...

I've been a bit lazy this afternoon and I did some reading instead of sewing ... but I will do some tonight for sure.

Picked up the kids from school.. and was hauled into the classroom by Griffin's teacher ... seems he has NOT been doing any of his homework. *sigh*... suppose that is my fault.

On a good note though, the school has been told that their application for funding through the system for Griffin has been approved, but it will take 5-6 weeks for him to be tested and something to be put in place. Oh well... we all know these things take time. So we wait... AGAIN.

It's an incredibly wet and horrible day out there too... all I feel like doing now is curling up with me book.. SO I WILL.

I'm going to take the sewing machine back today... the lady in the shop has said it will have to go back to the workshop to be looked at. I am going to try and insist that they replace it.

Stew can't come with me either, which sucks cos they might listen to him better than me.

I hate that I have to go there again. I hope they can give me a loaner machine... I have so much sewing I want to do!

WISH ME LUCK!

I MIGHT NEED IT, I don't want to get angry with the lady in the shop, this is not her fault at all. But someone has to come to the party and say "Yes, you have a lemon there"... and give me a new one. You don't spend $3, 600 on a machine that doesn't work properly do ya?

I will go now.... must get the kids to school, and go to the THE SEWING SHOP....

Well aren't I the lucky one! I hadn't left for the shop and the phone rang... it was THE SHOP... saying that the lady who I needed to see wasn't able to come in today as she was sick. So I have to wait till Monday now. I suppose that's alright, I can do some more sewing over the weekend... even though it plays up, it does work when it wants to!

I know it is weird, but when it is behaving it sews BEAUTIFULLY, it's just now and then it simply craps itself and I have to spend ages trying to get it to go again. That's when I want to smash it with a sledge hammer! TEMPER TEMPER! lol

So now, there is no excuse ... I will go do the bloody grocery shopping ... which I hate.

I had the BEST INTENTIONS of doing the grocery shopping.... I DID! I drove over to Sylvia Park ... for a change... and ummmm....

did a wee bit of shopping....

ABOVE AND BELOW: I bought two more of those amazing cast iron pots! They were STILL half price... I agonised (YES I did!) over whether I should get them or not... cos they are so expensive... then after like.... 15 minutes of wandering around the shop... keeping me eyes on the pots... I caved and bought them.

AND the mad thing is I don't even LIKE YELLOW, ORANGE or green! But they are just gorgeous! I am a bad girl.

And to make it even worse... I didn't do the grocery shopping! I will do it tonight. My legs and arms are killing me after my workout yesterday! It's true! true!

RE: my rights in relation to the sewing machine... I have looked up The Consumers Guarantee Act, and I can under that Act ask for a total replacement or a total refund. I have printed all the info' out from my computer and will be taking it with me on Monday.

End of Day: I've just spent the last 4 hours sitting on me bum hand sewing the binding onto the latest quilt.. the Convergence Quilt No# 2 .. that will be on Brylee's bed tomorrow! Ya Hooo... and nite nite.

THE SEWING MACHINE FROM HELL...

The saga continues with my new machine.
I have put up with it jamming up and playing up for long enough.... hopefully today I will hear back from the shop I bought it from and...TAKE THE BLOODY THING BACK. I want a new one, not the lemon they sold me. OVER IT.

I also have my 3rd assessment at the gym today... ha! They wanted me to keep a 'Food Diary' for a week... OOPS! I wonder if I should 'make one up'... with lots of veges and fruit.. and no fish and chips? ha ha ha.
With so much on my mind lately I am finding it hard to concentrate on myself at all. I'm like SECONDARY to everything and everyone else.

I don't live in a bubble.... but I wish I did.

- Even if you don't feel like going to the gym.. when you do you end up feeling BLOODY FANTASTIC!

- If you want to have a swim instead of doing the treadmill... do so by all means... just DON'T WEAR MASCARA! It so buggers up ya look! (Sexy and gorgeous is what I aim for) ha ha ha!

- My HIGHLANDER can burn off everyone at the lights ... (shush, don't tell Stew)

I'm feeling GREAT... now I just have to fix the face and go do the grocery shopping.

I didn't hear back from the Sewing Machine shop, so I rang them.. and was told they would ring me back 'soon' as they were rather busy. THEY BETTER...

Hmmm... I waited for 'the call' which didn't happen, so I rang them AGAIN. The upshot is that my machine will be sent away to be checked out by the big honcho AGAIN .. and they MIGHT be able to give me a loaner machine in the meantime.

CRABBY? Much. I was told last time that if I had any more problems they would replace the machine, but now they are saying NO.

Stew is going to read over the warranty tonight to see what redress we have.

End of Day: and I didn't have dinner tonight! I had two sandwiches at 2pm this afternoon, and I am still not hungry. This is great! I just hope I don't feel like snacking later on. It's a constant battle. One I will win eventually! nite nite.

It's patchwork class today.... and the lady who showed us all how to do the Convergence Quilts is coming back to see how we are getting on. I will be able to show her the two I've done. AWESOME.

Swimming was this afternoon... wonderful! The place is like a bloody sauna and I always leave there with a pounding headache.. which I now have. With Spades.

JULES: there is no way I would sell quilts on Tradme! If you added up the cost of the material alone it would make them too expensive for Trademe.... most people go on there for a bargin. No, I will just make them for me family and friends... till they are sick of them!

ANOTHER ONE DONE!

Well, there you have it.. another one done and dusted! It's certainly brightened up that couch!

Yaaaa, it's MONDAY! Kids are back at school, the man is at work, and I can go to the gym!

Then I will pop into town to do some banking, get some padding for the next quilt... yadda, yadda, yadda!

I havn't felt much of a difference with the hot flushes YET... but I am hoping the medication kicks in soon! It will be so nice to not have them anymore! SLEEPING all night would be just FANTASTIC! It has been so long since that happened! Sleep is so important to how one feels I reckon, hell maybe I will stop being so darn crabby all the time! Wouldn't that be a miracle... lol.

I'm feeling very positive today for some reason... unlike a few days ago when I almost did a post on how depressed I was feeling.... *sigh*. I'm up and down like a yo-yo!

My doctor says we have to be IN CONTROL OF OUR WORLD, and not let the world be in control of us.... all very well if we could live in a bloody bubble! But unfortunately we don't, and some bastard is always waiting to pop the bubble ... Pfffffft! But, we can try to handle the 'pops' better eh? Well, I am trying to anyway.

I had just got home from gym this morning (10.30) when the phone rang. It was the school.... "Is Griffin sick today Mrs H?"....

Me: "NO, I sent him to school today!"

School : "Well he's not here Mrs H".... OMG...PANIC MODE!!!!

Me: "Are you sure? (Much panic in me voice), I know he went to school, I walked him there!"

School: "OK, I will just go to his classroom and check"

...waiting, dying a thousand deaths ever 2 seconds... panicking...

School: "Oh he is here Mrs H!... he must have been late"

Me: "NO, he was not late, I sent him with 30 minutes to spare!"

So, I go up there at lunchtime to find out from Griffin why he wasn't in his classroom at Roll Call. Seems he and Brylee decided to play with some dog just outside the school grounds! Brylee got to her class on time cos the little tart left him on his own playing with the dog! Grrrrrrrr.

I made Griffin sit in the car all lunchtime, no playing with his friends as his punishment. Brylee? Will be going to bed right after dinner.

FINISHED ANOTHER THING

Last night I got the mantlepiece cloth done and dusted. I even quilted it! It looks nice too. Now the dust won't be so bloody obvious on the mantlepiece! LOL

Today my sauna goes.. I sold it on Trademe... I simply wasn't using it enough and I SO NEED the space in our garage! Also, now I am back at the gym I can use their sauna... so it's getting picked up this afternoon. Choice.

ALSO this afternoon I am expecting a visit from Lee-Anne and her hubby Colin... they have been up here in Auckland for the weekend and intend stopping in on their way home. I havn't seen her in ages so that's gunna be neat too.

Should I bake? NAH! ha ha ha

The people who bought the sauna turned up at 10.30...ooops I forgot that bit... and I clearly said it was a 2-person job and they would need a trailer.... One guy turned up with a van!

Stew and him are now trying their hardest to fit it all in his van... I am leaving them to it cos I can see SOMETHING is going to get broken! Why don't people LISTEN???

Well I take my hat off to our clever KIWI Blokes, they got it in!

It took them a while ... but the sauna is gone ... and Stew is now busy setting up his exercise area in the garage. We have lots more room down there now.. yaaaa.

Mid-afternoon and Lee-Anne and Colin stopped in on their way home, we had a lovely wee chat. They became Grandparents this weekend too! A Premature wee boy, (28 weeks), but all seems well with him and his Mum. I do believe we will be seeing more of them as Baby and Mum are up here in Aucklalnd's Starship Hospital for Children.

I'm sewing, Stew is cleaning ROXY... dinner is in the oven, all is good here!

End of Day: another good day... and I finished my first little Convergence Quilt this evening too! Yaaa, I'm finally finishing a few things. nite nite.

SATURDAY

I slept in.
I did not go to weigh in.
I did get my pills finally.
I'm still crabby.

Stew is hanging out the washing, cos it's a lovely day out there, if cold.
After than I think we will go out, probably to some mall or other and have lunch.

Then this afternoon I hope to do some sewing.

THAT'S IT FOR NOW. I almost didn't blog at all today, cos I am just so crabby! But I felt bad cos I know there are some out there who do like to read what the hell I'm up to! lol

See this book? DON'T start reading it at 10pm.... cos it's darn hard to put down... and you will end up dreaming about what is going to happen next. *sigh*.... and god help the author is she kills off the heroine at the end. I don't think I will like that. NOT AT ALL.

We ended up going over to Takapuna/Devonport... firstly we stopped at Takapuna Mall for lunch... but there wasn't a McDonald's there so Griffin packed a shitty... so we left without getting any lunch cos we were not going to pander to him....

We went down to Devonport where I visited a Patchwork Shop (Cushla's)... which is an amazing shop! I bought some fat quarters:

Home now and I'm going to sew while Stew watches rugby... win, win for both of us.

3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY

I think Teddy thought I was laying a 'trap' for him when I put the leather belt on the floor for him! After 'sock training' him over the past few days I'm sure he thought I would growl him if the took the belt! But after a bit of encouragement:

Friday.... off to the gym first thing, then no plans.... just home and do some housework, maybe some sewing.... or read one of the new books. What a life.... drama some weeks, normality others....

I watched some mindless TV!

Then I went to the chemist to pick up the Hormone Replacement Pills that they didn't have yesterday, but assured me they would have this morning.
WRONG.... they didn't have them... but they MIGHT be in tomorrow! YEAH THANKS ARSEHOLES... you just wasted my time and petrol coming in .... LESSON LEARNT... ring first to make sure they do have em!

I'm cross as hell about that... I am hanging out for those pills. The hot flushes are getting really really bad again... I can't seem to do ANYTHING without bringing on another one. It's CONSTANT and it's driving me bloody nuts. I feel like crying. I'm so over them.

They better arrive tomorrow, or I'll be killing someone. I swear I'm that frustrated.

So.. I ate 4 cereal bars and a peanut butter sandwich... seems I eat when I'm pissed off! BUGGER IT... talk about self sabotage!

HOSPITAL, THEN BLOG READING!

First thing this morning I am going to drop the kids at school, then catch the train to the hospital and get the dreaded blood tests done! Then I won't be stressing out about having to do them. They will be DONE.

Then I am going to come home, park me bum and do some catch-up on my blog reading! And commenting! Sheesh, I have been so slack lately.... there's over 300 updates to try and read!

Luckily, now all the housework is up to date!
ONWARD....

It's been a good day so far.

- train to hospital

- blood test was OK... as far as blood tests go!

- train home

- read some blogs

- went to doctors and got me some Hormone Replacement Pills.... and am scheduled for a mammogramme (OH YAAAA)... and I'm also scheduled for x-rays of me knees (cos they hurt)....

- then to the mall for lunch and to buy some ESSENTIAL Diet Coke... fuck we did run out!

- Then someone suggested I buy Teddy an old leather belt from an OP SHOP to chew on... so I did that too...

.. ... and yep, I couldn't help myself and bought some neat books too. Only $4-3 each! SCORE.

HOME now, and almost time to pick up the kids from school. Sheesh, today is flying by!....

End of Day: I'm sitting in the lounge, I reach for me trusty laptop to read some blogs, check out emails etc.. and ... it's DEAD... totally DEAD. It's only about 2 years old and it's DEAD.... I'm not a happy camper people! Grrrrrr. Thank god I bought this new computer just recently or I'd be OFFLINE! EEEEgads, we can't have THAT now can we? Suppose I will have to take it in to be fixed now... bugger. nite nite.

Sadly, my boys are going back to Palmerston North today... Mike's ankle is not paining him so much now so he is able to look after himself again.
Steve has a job lined up back there too.... so he's keen to go. Hamilton turned out to be A NIGHTMARE for him. I don't blame him for wanting to go back to Palmy. NOT AT ALL.

I will miss them though, so much. I will also enjoy getting my house back to 'normal' again! *smiles*

And 'BLOODY HELL'... when I saw the haematologist yesterday he was happy to let me go in Hormone Replacement Thereapy for a while... and then he looked over my last blood test results and found that I had not been tested to see WHY I bleed so badly during/after surgery...!!! WTF? That was one of the main reasons for all the blood tests I had back in FEBRUARY! So, now I have to go back and have more bloody tests! ASAP. BUGGER, DAMN AND BLAST!

I HATE BLOOD TESTS.

Oh yeah, and today I'm going to the hairdresser... NICE. After THAT I will come home and tidy my house. YAAAAAA.

Everyone is gone now, boys on their way home, kids at school, and now I'm off to get me hair done....

ABOVE: the hair. I had planned to go much much darker cos I was sick to death of the re-growth... but my hairdresser said "NO way...." she said I would hate being dark! So, she put more dark in but kept the lighter highlights. I like it.

I have been doing housework ever since I got home, I only have the vacuming, washing the floors and dinner to go! *sigh*

End of Day: Eeee gads I'm knackered! So tired I can hardly keep awake, so I'm off to bed early. nite nite.

SOMETIMES I FEEL THAT.....

MY LIFE IS JUST A BLOODY SOAP OPERA.

Most of you know.. today Steve goes to court to plead 'Not Guilty' to charges brought against him by a vindictive, immoral person .... and because we have very little faith in 'the system' (which let it get this far)... we are not holding our breath for a dismissal today.
The battle begins.

In other 'normal' news:
It's patchwork class today. I hope I can concentrate!

And I have a hospital appointment this afternoon to be checked out by the Haematologist .... I am thinking of going on Hormone Replacement Therapy for a while.... the hot flushes are ruining my life! (among other things!). I can't sleep.... I get them all night long. Grrrrr. So maybe I can go on HRT for a while.... it will depend on what the doctor says at the hospital.

ABOVE: on a brighter note, the scarves I won from Karen Deborah arrived (and a wee book), as did the bag I won from Jean ! How neat, 2 parcels in one day. WOOO HOOO. Thank you ladies for my lovely winnings.

Seems today's court appearance was only to set a date for his 'Plea' hearing! Pffffft. So, he has been Remanded at Large with NO BAIL... until early September.

So, he will go back to Palmerston North and start work again... and come up when necessary .. ... this could drag on for months!

When Stew and Steve get back from Hamilton we will go to lunch, then on with the afternoon! Stew will take the kids to swimming and I will go to the hospital.

ONWARD...

End of Day: my hospital appointment was at 4.15pm.... and I finally saw the doctor at 5.15... and I got home at 6pm. Luckily I put dinner in the roasting dish and into the oven before I left eh? Tired now, it's been a long stressful day. nite nite.

GYM...THEN HOUSEWORK

Kids to school, then gym for me and the boys.

THEN...Home to do a massive post-weekend clean up. I don't particularly like Mondays right now... cos I have even more to do! The big boys make such a mess!

Hopefully Steve will clean ROXY today too.... I want to get my 'Diet Coke Rocks' graphic on her.. still havn't quite decided WHERE to put it!

Starting to feel very NERVOUS about tomorrow when Stew and the boys go to Hamilton for an important 'meeting'.... in fact my stomach is churning at the thought. Still, I am trying to accept that there is nothing I can do about it all, so I have to just try and cope the best I can... there is no point me getting sick over it...

TODAY I am going to be doing some 'housework' on PEPSI... and deleting readers who have just been lurking... I only want genuine friends to be reading it from now on. So, if you have shown support to me and my bloody issues you will still be there after tonight. If not..... bye bye. HARSH? Sorry but that's how I am feeling right now.

This morning was awesome! I went to the gym, I did my entire programme... it was hard... but I kept saying in me little head "JUST DO IT, JUST DO IT" ... and I did! The whole thing took 1 and a half hours.
Then I went and did the grocery shopping, came home... had lunch and did some housework.
In fact.... I'm still doing housework.... *sigh*

WHO was the FRIGGIN Idiot who suggested the boys do some housework? Yeee Gods, that would be the day!!! I'm amazed they can pick up their own feet, let alone anything they have dropped on the floor/bench/couch/table.... lol...! REMEMBER, they are BOYS eh?

A MIRACLE .... Steve cleaned ROXY for me! Still in shock.....

End of Day: well I managed to read a few blogs this afternoon.. if I didn't get to yours.. sorry! There just isn't enough hours in the day at the moment... trying to juggle kids/boys/housework/gym/sewing/hubby AND blogging... sheesh! nite nite.

SLEEP IN!

Steve told us to have a sleep in, he was going to take care of Brylee and Griffin!!!

BUT everyone slept in till 8.50! So, I'm still in bed on me computer... and the rest of 'them' are up and getting breakfast. NICE.

What else?

We are 'sock training' Teddy. We put a sock on the floor and when he takes it we slap him with it..! It seems to be working! Now when he sees a sock he runs for the door! It is MEAN I know, but you have NO IDEA how many socks he has eaten!

The day looks beautiful from my bedroom window, Stew thinks we should go somewhere ....just not sure where!

And tonight: I DON'T want to play Poker ... I HATE LOSING. And the big kids mock me. The shits.

Once I dragged me butt outta bed I decided to take advantage of the boys and make them babysit so Stew and I could go out for Brunch, just the two of us. So we did....
We went to Maraetai Beach for Brunch.. ABOVE: our dining companions! They were so cute. The view was lovely too, Stew and I are fast becoming very attatched to this place.

After eating we went home and will probably take the whole family out for afternoon tea. Thinking of Mission Bay, another lovely beachside spot here in Auckland.

I've got another lovely meal in the oven... Lamb Chops and veges. All in the roasting dish... yum yum.

End of Day: well, another success in the roasting dish! AND I won at Poker tonight! SCORE! nite nite.

BIG ENOUGH?

See what I bought yesterday! A HUGE AS ROASTING/CASSEROLE dish.. OK the colour sucks (should have been blue)... but OH well... it was HALF PRICE!!!! And it's solid cast iron and it rocks. I love it.

No more squishing everything into a little dish and covering it with tinfoil! AWESOME.

Even at HALF PRICE it was bloody expensive! But, it will last me a lifetime, and longer!

It's too early in the day to know what's on the Agenda for today. Stew and I are off to the Doctor's at 9.30am, then who knows?
I wonder if I will gain weight this week? After the shock of last week's events... I lost heaps, now I have my appetite back.... hmmmmm.



ABOVE: What I did last night... I put the borders on the latest Convergence Quilt. It's now big enough for a single bed! I still have to put the batting in, backing on, quilt it etc... so it's nowhere near finished YET!

- Bugger, I gained a kilo.

- Been playing poker with the boys all afternoon.. it's fun. I do not have a POKER FACE apparently. *sigh*

- Dinner is in the oven... in the lovely new roasting dish.

It is a totally crap sort of day, wind and rain... cold too. Best to just stay in the house and chill out.
