The kids finish school this week.. and have around 6-7 weeks off over the summer. I AM THRILLED to bits at the thought!
Ha ha... well actually it will be nice to not have to rush around in the morning getting them ready for school, making lunches etc. And I know that what Santa is bringing them this year is going to keep them happily amused and occupied most of the time. So really.. it is not a time to go into MELT DOWN mode... lol!
But I must make the most of these last few days while they are at school to do all the Xmas present wrapping... I tried to make a start on it last night but was just too tired.
So today I begin... and I bloody well HATE present wrapping! Loathe it in fact. And I reckon Stew hates it even more than me cos that bugger VIRTUALLY NEVER EVER DOES IT. The shit.
ABOVE: I found this amongst all of my Mum's photos, it's TOTALLY ME. Going to keep it on my computer desk... cos I like it.
ABOVE: I just put all of Brylee and Griffin's and grandkids presents out on my bed... FAR OUT where do I start???
So... I wrapped some blasted presents (YUK, have to do more tomorrow), then took Griffin for his last session of the year at Kip McGrath... don't know if I will take him again next year... the teacher said he couldn't give me a progress report after having him all of this term... which I thought was a bit suckful. Will have to see what the school is offering for him next year first I think. It is sooooo expensive to take him to Kip McGrath... I thought they could have given me some sort of report?
Off to prepare dinner now... not sure what it will be.....some sort of FOOD !
End of Day: all is good... had a peaceful evening... got a few odd jobs done... off to bed now. nite nite.
Love the little sign!! I also have the pressie wrapping to do today!!!! ARRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteoooohhh I am the opposite I love wrapping pressies, but only on my own with no help from little miss nearly 5!!!! Yeah back on line, and in our own house so will be able to comment more.... Have a great day
ReplyDeleteI used to write a weekly newspaper column and I got the most reaction ever to a column about the kids being out of school for the summer. I hate wrapping presents too...loved it when I was a kid, but no more. It looks like you've got a lot of wrapping to do. I can only do a few at a time.
ReplyDeleteI have to do that too... not quite as bad as yours though!!
ReplyDeleteDude thats alot of prezzies! Looks like our house lol!
ReplyDeleteI hate wrapping presents - but I am glad that I do not have as many as you
ReplyDeleteTrish
Can you adopt me ?
ReplyDeleteMartine
I enjoy wrapping pressies - but maybe not that many! Maybe just do a few each day =)
ReplyDeleteI agree by the sign too Chris....I love wrapping pressies too, and if I lived local would be happy to wrap 'em up for ya. Hugs Naomi
ReplyDeleteWOW! That's a lot of pressies!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that wrapping! ;)
Bugger about Griffin. I hope next year you find a good solution for him, K :)
OK, so Kip McGrath charge a fortune & after approx 3 months are unable to give you an idea of how he is doing!!!!
ReplyDeleteO, it is good to be back! `smile~
ReplyDeleteYou have been a very busy gal - Rena is a beautiful child - I sure can see the resemblance to you - bigtime, and on to your Mum too!
Love your new bags you have been making ! They are really gorgeous - I bet you are so proud of them. I was reading a story the other day that a gal wrote about how she started her online business at Etsy and she had started with just a couple of bags she made -and now the bags are her full time job.
I had to laugh at you - I too Hate to wrap Christmas presents. I used to love it when I was 17 to about 30 - and then my daughter took that job over. But now that she has gone I just don't like to wrap presents anymore . I think she spoiled me.
I Loved your pictures - they say one picture is worth a thousand words. Thank you so much for sharing.
You guys have short summer breaks. It's three months over here. I'm actually glad it's three months. Well, actually, the first month is a waste because it rains most of the time in June.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry...I am so behind....not sure what is happening......I don't think you are showing up in my Blogger Reading List.... got to find out what's going on...any way I am catching up
ReplyDeleteI hate to wrap...my husband does most of it
( honestly all of it) unless it is in a bag
