  5. Glad that our hospital system can at least get the appointment made and out to you promptly because that's usually the only thing they get right (I remember poor Stew's experience when he got his hernia op), I REALLY hope they get you in sooner rather than later.

  6. HAHAHA!! They told me 6wks for my op and it's now six weeks (as of Wednesday) and I still haven't even been given a date, somehow I don't think it will be on Wednesday. Glad to hear I'm not the only one, hopefully you won't have to wait too long for yours.

  7. That was fast .... I hope they don't stuff you around too much!
As for you little girl ..... I am not sure what to say .... ? I hope she stops this shit soon, before she gets sick.
I over heard my 8 year old yesterday telling my cousin "I look pregnant in this shirt" " I am so fat!"...... I nearly choked on my cake ...ummm ... I mean apple! .....
I rarely voice my disapproval of my body to my girls for this reason. What they are told at school by other kids is horrible... Talija is teased most days but she is not what I would call massive, but a healthy size. Kids are cruel. Especially these days!

  8. Geeze Chris, this business with Brylee must be so worrying. Does she understand that she is making herself unwell? I suppose from the Dr's point of view it's either a high calorie shake or being fed via a tube. One seems useless, and the other really drastic...but then drastic may be where it's headed.

Have you tried seeing a dietitian?

  9. Chris i know a couple of children that are very similar to your gorgeous lil girl... and they are fairly healthy and happy... so if she seems to be just like other kids other than her size i wouldnt stress about it too much...
obviously keep an eye on her... and if you are really concerned get a second opinion...
go to the hospital and see the pediatric gp there...

1-2 months for surgery? And it could be longer? Yikes! That sounds ugly.

Ahhh the "kick the kid out and have more room", sounds like alot of fun...

And ah ha...you still havent figured the name out....

  13. I love your attitude about Mondays.

I had a child who was underweight and wouldn't eat. After they ran blood tests and found nothing wrong, I did the best I could.

Now she's addicted to junk food and kind of plump. :)

  15. Keep my fingers are crossed that you get you appointment as planned. It's no better here.

Glad you like Mondays, this one came round extra fast after last weeks long weekend. Had 24 hours of blissful quiet. Yes our places sound pretty much the same, with people coming and going.

    Good luck with Brylee.

  16. Memorial Day here in the States. School is out for summer. Kids are everywhere. This was a four day holiday weekend for some. Everywhere you go, people are grilling. Smells are tempting, but FREE!
