MORE PAINTING

Let's have a better day eh?

Lacy is coming over this morning, and we are going to (hopefully) get heaps done.

Cleaning guttering and painting soffits (house eaves) is on today's list.

I know we will knock out the bulk of it today, and Stew can do the parts we simply cannot reach on Friday.

Then that job will be DONE, and off my mind.

So, by the end of Friday we should have remedied all the little issues on 'The List' except one.  And that one is a super easy job, that can be done on Sunday morning, all going well.

And that's about all I have for now.

Catch ya later.

11.05 am:
I started doing the soffit edges along the front of the house at 8 am.
Lacy arrived at 8.30, and she did the gutter cleaning, before moving on to rolling the paint between my edges.

ABOVE:  Between the two of us, we have got the entire front of the house soffits (eaves) painted.  And of course, the other day we did the full length of the house on the other side.
So, we have done 80% of the house soffits (eaves).  I'm rather proud of us.
It wasn't an easy job.  It was extremely tiring.

CHRISTY:  I am not 'active and energetic' at all!  I'm just determined to get the job done.
I'd far rather be on me bum sewing, or taking a bloody nana nap any day.

DOGSTARS:  Last night I did talk to Stew about abandoning the whole idea, and just staying here.  But we have invested too much money, time and effort to give up now.
We will still have to move in the future, so there is no point going off the market now.

11.35 am:  Lacy just left.  I can't thank her enough for all she does for us, her and Steve are our godsends.
Now I'm thinking about just relaxing for the remainder of the day.

I have to remember I'm not young and fit anymore.  All of this is really taking it out of me.
Climbing ladders and painting stuff above your head is HARD WORK!

Thankfully, that is done now, and I will never have to do it again.

ABOVE: A few days ago I whacked my shin on a pulled out drawer.  It made a really big lump, and finally it's starting to bruise.
It's bloody sore, and sure hasn't enjoyed me banging it on friggin ladders.

Luckily, it won't show on Satuday at the wedding, as my dress will cover it.

I shall be wearing my pretty pink dress again, as it looks so nice on me.

I did think about getting a new dress, but yeah nah, I love the pink one.

It's OK to wear the same dress eh?  I hope so!

ABOVE:  I just mixed up these two Instant Puddings, I combined them together. Why not?
Stew and I can enjoy it with some fresh fruit this evening.  Call it 'dinner' if ya like. 😋😊😂

Now though, I'm thinking about lunch.  It is 12.31 pm ... tummy is rumbling.

ABOVE:  I'm having a bad hair day.
At least there's no paint in it!  I hope, can't see the back or top.

I did not have a nap.  I went down to Mitre 10 for another paint roller thingee.
Stew will need it on Friday.

Then I came home and touched up some of the guttering where we got white paint on it.  That was easier than I thought, using the spray paint that's the same colour as the guttering.

NOW I'm actually taking a break!

  1. I'm so inspired by how active and energetic you are!!!! --- I'm feeling so lazy and unmotivated at the moment. I'm making small changes ie: eating lots of fruit and veg, getting some sleep, breathing deeply and some other self care. It does help me. (not that you asked lolololol) Christy in Sydney xxx

  2. Every little thing you do to that house shows and makes it better. Even, when none of us saw it before. It looks clean and fresh and absolutely perfect! Maybe YOU should live there! haha. I'm being a brat. I just love that house so much. And the garden/yard area.

  4. Next sale contract, make sure the wording in the escape clause is tighter so that they can’t use it to get out of the contract unless there are major or serious deficiencies. Their reasons were bullshit and should not have been allowed to be used as an excuse not to go unconditional.

Hi, you have done a great job on the house and it is ready to sell . If for any reason it doesn't at this time, you are ready to go when it does ,plus you do love living there. So a win/win ? Peta
