MAYBE NOT

There was a plan to go out and about today, but I've woken up feeling really out of sorts.

The damn gum/face is still very sore, 4 days after the tooth extraction.  I thought I would be totally over it, and all better by now.

Pffffft, jokes on me.

I am still struggling to eat solid food, which involves chewing, cos I end up with a damn sore mouth/jaw/face afterwards.

So going out to lunch somewhere nice is off the cards for now.

I'd wanted to go out to Raglan today to Orca, who do an amazing seafood platter.  But it will have to wait.

Instead, we will do a few jobs around here.  I need to get more liquid chlorine for the pool.  The very large 20 litre container I buy should last us for the rest of this month... it will probably be the last one I ever have to buy in fact!

By the end of summer we should have moved.

I will miss our lovely pool, I've enjoyed having it so much.

Stew's birthday is in 4 days, so perhaps we shall go shopping for his birthday gift.  Any shopping is fine by me! lol

And that's all I have for now... catch ya later.

11.05 am:  And we have been out to the mall and bought Stew a couple of lovely shirts for his Birthday.
We also had to buy a tin opener, cos I'd packed ours, and some 'fake' sugar cos, again, I'd packed what I already had.
Seems I've packed quite a few things that I still needed.  Oh well... it is what it is.  Not losing sleep over it.

I've just stewed some granny smith apples to go with my yoghurts.  Should be a nice change from the tinned mixed fruit I've been having for the past 4 days.

A few of you have mentioned the possibility of me having a 'dry socket'.  I don't think that is possible, as the doctor at the hospital packed the socket and then stitched it closed.  Both the packing and the stitches are self absorbing, and will take about 2 weeks to go.

As for an infection, I don't think that's ongoing right now, I'm not feeling really unwell, just sore.  I am keeping an eye out for all the possibilities though, don't worry.

I'm doing enough worrying for all of us!  lol
As I said to Stew just before, I'm a total Drama Queen, a major sook, cry baby, pussy etc, etc!  πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜†

I am feeling quite a bit better right now.  So much so, I'm now in the sewing room, about to work on one of those square table toppers.
Stew is about to head out into the garden and mow the lawns and so on.  We have our first Open Home of the year tomorrow.
We won't be surprised if no one turns up, as most people are still on holidays, not looking at houses to buy.  But, ya never know eh?

ABOVE:  12.37 pm: And there's #3 ready for quilting and binding.

ABOVE:  All three ... I'm going to take a break right now though.  Feeling really woozy... probably need some food.

5.15 pm:  Well food certainly helped!  After having some custard and cooked apple, I lay down and completely relaxed for a couple of hours.  Didn't fall asleep like I thought I would, but it was really good to just lie there and think of ... not much at all.
Except I did come up with an idea for my next Square Table Topper.  Something slightly different from the three already made.

I worked on it until just now, and will show it to you tomorrow, once I have the last strips on.

Stew did an awesome job outside, it's all ready for the Open Home tomorrow.

He's now watching sport and in his element.
I'm not doing anything else for the remainder of the day except wait for bedtime, quite literally!

I'm sure there is bugger all on the telly worth watching, so I'll no doubt surf the 'net.

Oh in case you are wondering, I have kept on top of the pain medications today, and there's been no breakout of bad pain.  AND I've really taken it easy, nothing strenuous.  Just sitting on me bum sewing, which is not hard work.

I'm enjoying watching some taped Coronation Street episodes.  After they are done, I'm gunna go to bed and sleep like the old, crabby tart that I am.

Hi, it sounds like you might have "dry socket" or just an infection as after 4 days things should be settling with your tooth...you might need a course of antibiotics....Peta

  4. I hope your tooth pain settles soon, as Peta said though be aware of an infection (which I know you are).

  5. Diddly squat sounds good to me. I'm so sore old bones thought with the rain over my knees wouldn't ache so much but guess more rain to come. Go out garage soon rearrange some Christmas boxes. So much I haven't used could do a complete new display with wat I have left.

  6. Dammit woman, stop doing so much & give your body time to concentrate on healing. Also, you are putting me to shame as I have done bugger all apart from read, gym & nap for the last week & I don’t even have dental surgery as an excuse - I am just a lazy cow πŸ˜‚

I remember when I had a tooth pulled, it snapped off at the base as part of it was already cracked (had a root canal on it years ago, then after eating a mintie it cracked) they had to cut open my gum to get the rest out. Gave me disolvable stitches. And I spat out the knots a couple of days laterπŸ˜‚

    1. Yes, Unconditional means it's a done deal. We go Unconditional towards the end of January. Settlement day is February the 13th, when we actually move out of here. All going to plan.

  11. It wasn't just having a tooth out - it was surgery, ya dill. Now treat your body as if you had a little toe amputated and stop expecting things to be tickety boo so soon. They give you good drugs for a reason - take them! And take things easy.

  13. Rest as much as your body needs. It will keep improving and keep using meds to stay on top of it. Exciting times ahead but for next day or two try to relax.

  14. I love the green table topper! It is so good to hear your feeling much better. It was surgery & taking it easy is what the doctor ordered.
