HERE'S TO THE BEST YEAR YET

Here's to 2025!

I hope everyone has an awesome and happy year.

Thank you for being here, for supporting me and my family, for however long you have been following me.  I appreciate each and every one of you.

Today we are taking it 'easy' again.  I'm not risking having a bleed for anything.

I had a reasonably good night, not too much pain, and certainly no tossing and turning with nerves.

That is all behind me now.  So, so relieved.

This morning we are taking a drive over to Cambridge.  We want to look at something for our new home, something we have always liked.  And might get.  Not telling ya what it is... you will have to wait!

WHEN our home sale becomes Unconditional, we will show ya then.   The date for the sale going unconditional is after the third week of January.  So, still a way to wait.

While in Cambridge, we plan on having a nice wander around the shops, maybe even have lunch over there.  It will be nice being out and about, not in Hamilton.  NOT looking at stuff that needs doing at home.  Just a chill out morning.

This afternoon we are expecting Steve, Bex and the kids.

And maybe even Lacy, who's been out in Kawhia for New Years Eve.  She needs to come in to town today to have a tetanus injection, cos she stood on a rusty nail last night!  Poor girl.

And that my peeps, is all I have for now, catch ya later.

11.08 am:  And 'a nice wander around the shops' in Cambridge did not happen.  There was virtually nothing open!
So we came back into Hamilton, grabbed some KFC potato and gravy and came home.
And now I'm waiting for me P 'n' G to cool down so I can have it for lunch.

It is another stunning summer day... a swim later on is on the cards.

ABOVE:  The kids came around for a visit, and to show off Lily's latest accomplishment.  Standing up on her own.  It won't be long till she is walking!

It's now mid afternoon, and we are back to just enjoying the peace and quiet.
I'm feeling pretty good now, unless I try to chew anything, then I feel pain.  So, still only on soft foods for now.

We are going on a day trip tomorrow, so I shall get a few things sorted for that later on.

ABOVE:  Miss Lily ... learning new skills every day.  Standing up on her own is the latest.

LEANNE:  I'm not sure what you are referring to?

Happy to say it's been another lovely, relaxing afternoon/evening.  I'm doing everything I was told to do, to make sure I have no problems with the extraction.  So far everything is perfect.  Some pain, but no swelling, no temperature, no bleeding.  WHOOP!
It's such a relief, after all the worrying I went through for MONTHS/YEARS!

I'm off to bed fairly early tonight, as is Stew.  We are off on a road trip tomorrow, so want to have a decent night's sleep before hand.
Catch ya tomorrow.

Happy New Year !!! Glad you are recovering well and don't over do it today ! We still have 9 1/2 hours to go to 2025 !!! All the Best to you and Stew and the kids. 2024 didn't end very happily for me with my son's passing 10/17/2024 and so suddenly and unexpected, but I am doing my best to more forward, at my own pace with my grief journey and try my best to look forward and to live the best life I can for my Mike. And thank you Chris for reading my posts about my Mike - doing those are a kind of therapy for me and I always told him (whenever he was really sick, in hospital, etc) that if anything ever happened to him, I would make sure the rest of my life he would NEVER be forgotten. And he won't be! Dawn Pinnataro Albany, GA USA

You got the good weather? Overcast, raining and cold down here. Hopefully my son is coming over to move furniture so I can organize my lounge/ sewing room better. Enjoy your potato and gravy. When I could only eat white food years ago, I gave up after 5 days and bought that. Lol kj

  13. GIRL! It was only YESTERDAY - that you had an extraction!!!! Stick to your mashed potatoes and gravy! Or pudding, soup, and other "chew-free" foods for another day or two. Maybe fish if you MUST chew. Do you like fish? It's soft....
Happy New Year to everyone! My "party" dwindled at 9pm. Oh well - fun people, good food. All is well!

Agree with Dogstars, especially if that is what the dentist told you. Usually they say when you start chewing again try and do it on the other side of your mouth for a couple of days. Better to be safe than sorry, lol. Lily looks so cute trying to stand, very difficult with her legs apart! Audrey

Its been a beautiful cool day here today but to be warm tomorrow and I suspect with all the dampness from rain last couple, days humidity will be unbearable. Have a nice evening.
