HAVING FUN WITH THE FITBIT

Today I plan on having some fun with the Fitbit.
I'm going to get on me treadmill and see how long it takes to clock up a thousand steps.

My goal for the next week or so is to get myself up to 5,000 steps a day.  It's only half the desirable number of 10,000 steps a day, but hell!  It's going to be about 4,000 more than I've been doing lately!

I'm not sure I will use the 'Food' tracker, it's in calories and I don't 'do' calories.  I track WW's Pro Points.  Well... I do when I'm tracking that is.
Of course, I ain't been tracking much lately either.  Funny that.

So that's me plans for today.  Slowly get back into some exercise, use the Fitbit for motivation and work towards a good loss for next week.
I can actually feel the difference now, I've lost 11.1 kilos since I started again at WW.
It's been SLOW... but steady and that makes me happy.

ONWARD...

11.57 am: Dammit!
I walked for 10 minutes BRISKLY on the treadmill, then I went to Sylvia Park and walked up and down it's length too... got me hair washed and dried at JustCuts... met up with Bex and the boys for a little while there too.

Got home, synched the Fitbit.   According to it I've taken 436 steps TODAY.  Now that just ain't right!
I'm starting to get annoyed already.  Something ain't right.  Just feel like taking the bloody thing back now.

12.32 pm: Just deleted the walk I did on the treadmill in 'Activities'... and that must have sorted it cos now the damn thing says I've done 3,640 steps.
*sigh*

Now all I need to do is about another 2,000 to get to my mini goal.

5.20 pm:   I didn't say much about my visit to JustCuts today did I?
Well on my way to Sylvia Park this morning I was listening to a guy on the radio who said he got his hair washed and dried twice a week in a salon.  I was like, really?  Why would you do that?
Then I thought about it and decided to see how much it would cost, cos seriously, I really don't feel up to washing and drying my mop of hair at all right now!

So... it cost me $12 to have it washed and dried.  What a bargain!  And the hairdresser gave me the most lovely head massage too... for nothing!  I do believe I might be doing that EVERY WEEK from now on!   $12 for pure indulgence... WHY NOT?   I'm sure thousands of people spend more than that a week on coffee!  I don't drink coffee do I?  *smiles*

It's takeaway night.... yaaaa.  I don't have to cook.  Stew's choosing our meal tonight.

End of Day:  a good day really.   I didn't get to 5,000 steps today, but it was close.

NOT SURE

Thankfully, Stew is back here in Auckland for the rest of the week.
I can keep a closer eye on him.

Me?  STILL coughing.  Probably will be for weeks to come knowing my luck.

Griffin and Brylee are both well.  Looks like Brylee dodged that bullet.  Amazing considering we all got it except her.

Not sure if I feel like going to Weight Watchers this morning.  All I feel like doing is staying in bed.
Going out and about yesterday tired me out.

The scales are showing a small (SMALL!!!) loss.  Nuts that is.  Utterly not fair.  I starved for a week, literally throwing up any food I did eat and Pffffft.  A piddly arse loss!

So, not that interested in going to WW.

I will think about it a bit later.  Right now, I'm staying in bed.  The kids can get themselves off to school, they don't need me for any reason.  Which is nice.

ONWARD...

I've decided to go to WW.  I'm taking me new boots.  Surely I've lost enough to wear them now?

12.14 pm:  I'm so glad I went to WW's!  It was neat to see the ladies, and I even got cuddled!
THAT was really weird, but nice *smiles*

I LOST 1.3 kilos, so I could put these on:

ABOVE:  I wore them all morning.  They are so lovely!  Slightly higher heel than I'm used to, but I'll get used to them.

After WW, I went down to the mall and bought one of these:
ABOVE:  Several ladies at WW have them and reckon they are good, so I'm giving it a go.  Nothing like a tracker that tells you how much ya sit on ya bum I suppose.
I'm hoping it will motivate me to get moving more.
Not cheap .... so I better use it!   I will probably spend the rest of the day reading up on how to use it.

Stew and I have a party to attend at the end of the month, for friends who eloped to Las Vegas, so it's a 'We Got Married' party.
But... it's a DRESS UP Party.  *sigh*
I hate dress up parties.

The 'theme' is J & T, you have to dress up in something beginning with J or T.
I found these at the mall:

ABOVE:  An exercise outfit.  I'm going as a JOGGER.  !  I've already got bright pink sneakers, so I'm set.  Now to think of something for Stew?
Maybe he can be the 'Trainer'?

OH, best thing about that outfit?  Both items are 'only' XL... not 2XL or 3XL.  Rather chuffed about that.

Now, how about a photo of the girls?

ABOVE:   They are both nuts.  They love their crate!  If I close the door so they can't get in it during the day they cry!
They are both looking great after their haircuts.

2pm: And the power has gone out here. So... my house alarm has activated and I can't turn it off.  Luckily its not going full tilt... only about half volume. It's still annoying though. The dogs are perplexed, running around looking for the noise.

4.11 pm:  The power has finally come back on, and the infernal alarm has shut up at last!
I ended up sitting in my car to get away from the noise... and to charge my phone.

The Fitbit installation was mucked up, so I'm having to do it all again.  Still have no idea how to use it of course.  Everything you need to know is on the computer.... which one can't see if there's no power.  Grrrrr.

Finally though, might get it done now.

5.11 pm:  Yaaaa, I've finally got the Fitbit working and sync'd with my computer.
Also just now, I changed the old heating controller with the new one ... ON MY OWN.  I asked the electrician to come back and do it and he told me he was sure I could do it myself! So I did.

AND it's going!  I'm rather chuffed.  Now lets see how long it takes for the plumber to come and get his faulty controller!  I have no intention of driving it over there that's for sure.

I let the plumber know he could pick up his faulty heat controller.  His response?  You know my address, you drop it off.
WELL.  He must have forgotten, possession is 9/10ths of the law... and he will now have to WAIT until I am good and ready to return it.  ARESHOLE.

End of Day:  I've had a good day... still coughing but I've not thrown up anything today!
EXCELLENT.

DOGS, ON THE WARPATH AND BABIES

First up, I'm taking the dogs over to Mt Wellington to Animates on Lunn Ave for grooming.  It was the closest place I could get them in at the earliest.   Tallulah looks like a bloody sheep, she's that shaggy.

While over there, it's just around the corner from the plumbing place I got the underfloor heating controls from.

So I might just pop in there and see if I can find out why that bloody arsehole DOES NOT ANSWER HIS DAMN PHONE?  All I want is for him to get me another controller and take back the faulty one... how fucking hard is that?

I will have to try and contain my TEMPER I suppose, or I won't be getting it replaced I suppose.  Shame that, cos the way I'm feeling I would love to ram his bloody phone up his arse.
It's completely and utterly RUDE not to answer your messages or a direct phone call.

*Big Breath*.... after dropping in there, I will be backtracking just a little to visit Bex and the boys.  I'm not sure if Steve is still home sick or not?  I suppose I'll find out when I get there.  With me camera.  Bex told me I had to bring me camera!  Can't think why.

Depending on how long the dogs are expected to be, I'll either stay at Bex's till they are ready, or go home and go back for them later.

ONWARD...

12.05 pm:   I took the dogs to the groomers bright and early.  Tallulah slipped her collar in the shop and she had a right fun time running around in the shop till I caught her!

After leaving them there, I went to the plumbing place, determined to have a face to face with Troy, the ignorant prick who's been dicking us around for days.

He wasn't there, but his BOSS was.   His boss had been away last week with the flu, he looked dreadful!  Anyway, I talked to him about Troy, how he has totally ignored all our phone calls, messages, texts etc and how upset I was over it.

The boss was NOT HAPPY with Troy AT ALL... and said he would get it sorted  TODAY.

I told the boss that I really would have liked to stay and see Troy so I could shove his bloody phone up his ignorant bum!  The boss got it.  I think HE might be shoving it up his bum for me!

So, I left there feeling like it would be sorted out.
I popped into Bex's to see them, Dante was sick, but not too bad.
I got some adorable photos:

ABOVE: Thank goodness Bex and Archer are not sick (yet).  Steve went back to work today, even though I'm sure he isn't really 100% yet.

ABOVE: Spider Man... almost finished.  Bex doesn't get as much time to crochet right now, but she can still get some done obviously.

ABOVE:  Dante 'posing' for the camera.  He's such a dag.

I had only been at Bex's for 10 minutes when my phone rang... it was TROY!
Wow... his boss must has given him a bollocking!  He started telling me he hadn't got my messages! What a liar.  I told him I was now dealing with his BOSS and hung up on him. (OH how RUDE of me!)

Then I get a text from TROY... asking for my address so he can drop off the new controller TODAY!   So I text it to him, giving him a time when I will be home.

Yaaaa.   I can put a face to the name and tell him what I think of him to his face.  FREAKIN' AWESOME.

2.50 pm:  so frustrated!   I had to go and pick up the dogs, so left a message at the plumbers that I would be home by 3 pm.
Troy turned up while I was out and left the controller in the letterbox.  So, I don't get to give him a piece of my mind after all.
I just hope his Boss did.

The dogs look lovely, so that's a plus for the day.

I'm hoping Stew is having a better day today.  He's had blood in his phlegm, so was thinking about going to the Dr.  I hope he did.

7.44 pm:  Stew did go to the Dr, who said his chest was clear.  The blood is coming from his throat being irritated with all the coughing.  He's got antibiotics to take in a couple of days if he doesn't improve.  Glad he went, better to be safe than sorry.

End of Day:  well another day done and dusted.  nite nite

START OF ANOTHER WEEK

Well... here's to a much better week compared to last week!

Stew has left for Hamilton, due back tonight.

Both kids are off to school today... I shall NOT miss Griffin.  He's been back to 100% himself, has been for the past few days.
Annoying little git ... been sending me around the twist.

My plans for the day are:  bugger all!
I still don't have any energy to speak of, so as the house is really tidy, I shall probably just laze the day away!
Talk about feel useless.  But I'm just not in the mood to do anything yet.

The coughing is really getting me down I must say.  When I eat, I end up having a coughing fit later, and then I lose what I ate.

And the weirdest and most annoying thing is... I've lost bugger all weight!  How the hell does that happen?   I've literally starved for a week... and only lost maybe 1 kilo!
That sucks.

Right, I'm just having a bitch session here... I better go before I find something else to moan about.  *smiles*

ONWARD...

I thought of something to do.
Make a list and go get some groceries.  We have bugger all in the house!  So, off to do the list.

2.03 pm:  groceries done and dusted.  Lunch done and dusted.
Coughing .... started in earnest... waiting to lose lunch now.  It will happen.

It didn't happen!  So relieved.

3.41 pm:  I left a message with the plumbing guy about the faulty under floor heating control on Saturday, and again today, and I also know that the electrician guy left messages with him too.
Can you believe that fucking ARSEHOLE has not got back to either of us?  OMG if I could see him now I'd smack him one... I'm getting that riled up.

He has got to be the most ignorant prick I've ever had the misfortune to 'work' with.  So, my latest message was fairly STRONGLY worded... let's see if he answers it.

Or... tomorrow I am going to go and camp out in his fucking office until I get some satisfaction.  Let's see how he likes that.

What's else?  Well I'm sitting here wondering if I shall close down my blog actually.   I have NOTHING going on worth blogging about most days.  It's boring.  And I don't want to have a blog that is totally boring. So maybe I will take a blog break.

CLEARLY I'm a bit depressed.  Just ignore me.

End of Day:  another full on... do nothing day.
Stew got home from Hamilton still feeling sick as a dog... cold and coughing.
Happy happy, joy joy.

OPEN HOME AGAIN

Today's Open Home is at 11.30 am, so a much earlier start for us.

Luckily it only takes about an hour or so to get ready now days.

It's supposed to be a fine day so that's great.

Something weird.  We thought the underfloor heating wasn't going in the ensuite as the controller was NOT working?  But... we noticed the floor is warm now?  So, obviously the controller is working, just not the control screen.  Which means we have no way of altering whatever it's set on... so it still has to be replaced.
But... the bathroom floors are both nice and warm for the Open Home, so I'm happy!

It will all get sorted out this coming week I'm sure.  I know I lost the plot yesterday, blame it on a long, sick week.

I'd just reached my limit of shit happening.

After the Open Home I think we might just go out for a lovely lunch somewhere, maybe do some shopping.  We have had a rough week, so getting out will be nice.
I know I've been cooped up in the house for long enough.  The flu has gone, we are just left with the lingering cough... which I'm told can hang on for a couple of weeks.

I can deal with that.

ONWARD...

3.01 pm:  Well the Open Home went quite well... 6 groups through and one nosey neighbour. *smiles*
Some positive feedback from the agents.  Now we wait and see if anything eventuates.

We went to Botany for lunch... which was rather nice.  We went to The Goode Brothers Gastrobar, we hadn't been there before.  Brylee got a kid sized pizza which was rather big and the rest of us got a chicken burger.   I could only manage to eat some of the meat and salad out of mine and only about 3 chips before I was full.  Kinda a waste of money... opps.

Then we did a spot of shopping.   We found a gorgeous piece of Britto that we had never seen before:

ABOVE: The Lady and The Tramp!  How gorgeous are they?  They just felt like the perfect ones to buy today.

In the same shop we saw some really neat umbrellas called 'BLUNT'...

ABOVE:  I ordered a blue one for myself.  These umbrellas are awesome, they cannot be blown inside out and they are really, really good quality.  I hope mine doesn't take too long to arrive as all our other umbrellas are in storage in Hamilton.

Desperately missing seeing the boys... so it's lovely that Bex keeps sending me photos, this one is today's:

ABOVE:  Archer getting some solids... not sure what his face is indicating? YUM or not!
I can't wait to see them again.... in a few days hopefully.

Stew and the kids have gone into Greenlane so Stew can pick up the work car for his trip down to Hamilton tomorrow.

It's left overs for dinner, so I don't have to do a thing.  Yaaa.

End of Day:  cough, cough... vomit.  so sick of it!
At least the headache is gone, the temperatures are gone.  Just have to get over the bloody cough now.
Stew is the same, though the lucky bugger has not done any vomiting.

I WISH WE WERE SLEEPING IN

Sadly, we have to be up bright and early as I've got an electrician arriving at 8 am to fix the bathroom underfloor heating.
Well not fix... replace the controls actually.  We can't turn the existing one's on as the idiots who put the tiles on the wall put the tiles right up under the heating controls... making it impossible to change the batteries!

So... the electrician will take the old controls off the wall and re-site the new ones.  It will be wonderful to be able to turn on the heating in the bathrooms I can tell you.

Once he's left... chances are we might go back to bed!  But we will see.

ONWARD...

The electrician arrived bright and early and installed both the new controllers and left.
LEFT without making sure they both worked I might add.... cos one of them DOES NOT WORK.

I swear to god something or someone is out to break me.   I burst into tears when I realised we were gunna have to pay MORE to get the electrician back to take it out and put another one in.

WHEN we get another one that is... cos of course, we can't get hold of the man who supplied us with the new controllers can we?  He is notorious for poor communication, and I'd NEVER recommend him to anyone.

This whole house selling experience is turning out to be a fucking disaster... just like our last one, and the one before that.  When are we going to get a break?

ABOVE:  Steve looking pretty crook.  But still able to play XBox!  lol

End of Day: Stew's a happy man, the All Blacks beat the Australian Wallabies to retain the Bledisloe Cup.  And they won convincingly too.
Looking forward to getting to bed soon.

FRIDAY VIEWINGS

While you never get your hopes up too high, with every viewing you have.... you hope that 'The Buyer' is going to come through your front door.

Because we have been let down twice now by buyers... I sure in hell ain't getting me hopes up today.

I really don't have too much to do this morning... make the beds with fresh linens, bathrooms cleaned etc... dog poop picked up, rubbish bins emptied... in fact most of it is done apart from that.

As Griffin is still home, he can keep the dogs in check while I do those few things.

The viewings are at 12.30 ... so I've got plenty of time to get ready.

Catch you later.

ONWARD...

Well the house is ready... and I feel like utter shit. I almost cried trying to make the beds, it took that much outta me

I really thought I was starting to get  better but nope. One step forwarded and two back today.

I'm going to have a milky milo and hope it gives me some energy.

12.42 pm:  We spend the morning getting the house all ready, get the dogs in the car.. and leave the house to Paul, the Real Estate man.

10 minutes later... he rings me.  They are going to be a 'NO SHOW'.  "Oh sorry .... we forgot".
BULLSHIT.  Paul rang them this morning to confirm they were coming!

Another wasted effort.  And I'm shattered.  So tired.  Going back to bed.  PISSED OFF.

4.25 pm:  Brylee didn't get home by 4 pm ... the normal time.  So, I jump in the car and go looking for her.  I tend to panic if a kid's late home.  I can't help it.

Anyway, I fully expected to come across her just up the road.  NOPE.  No school kids on the footpaths anywhere.  I'm really panicking when I get to her school and there's still no sign of her.  Then.... thank god... there she is.  Just leaving the school.
I literally screamed at her 'Where the hell have you been"? out the window.

She had been on a school trip and they got stuck in traffic.
I was so riled up I nearly took the head off the teacher in charge.  Told him the least he could have done is let parents know before we got worried.  He apologised, so I suppose that's OK then?  NOT.
Super angry.  Last thing I felt like doing, going out in this shitty weather and getting all upset.

8.08 pm:  For the first time since last Sunday, I'M HUNGRY!  Stew got home safe and sound from Wellington and has gone out to get us some pizza, cos that's all I can think of.
Chicken pizza.  My mouth is drooling just thinking about it!
I must be getting better.  Thank God.

End of Day:  dinner went down well!   Now I have to hope it stays down.  Heading off to bed soon... Stew is exhausted and so am I.

SAFE TRAVELS DARLING

Stew left for Wellington early this morning... he's on a course for two days.
I hope he doesn't give the flu to everyone on the plane!  Though he IS well on the mend.

I'm keeping Griffin home for the entire week... he's still coughing fit to kill... but he IS eating again, which is an excellent sign.  When he couldn't eat I knew that kid was sick!

I am forcing myself to eat something during the day today... even though I have NO appetite at all.  When you are taking painkillers and cough syrup on an empty stomach you end up with stabbing stomach pains.  Trust me... I know!

I was in so much pain last night ... I figured out what the problem was and had two pieces of dry toast... pains went away.  Silly really, I'd only managed to have two bananas and one chocolate in 3 days, so of course I was going to get a sore tummy.

Today I'm going to quietly potter around the house, getting it ready for viewings tomorrow.  I thought it was only going to be one group through, but no.  It's going to be 3.  So I really need to get it in shape.  As you can imagine, I've done bugger all housework all week... shit needs doing.

TRACY:  don't tell me off!  I will pace myself and rest up in between the jobs.  AND I will get the kids to help me too.

So, it's sorted.  That's me day.  Potter/rest.

ONWARD...

12.27 pm:  Uggg.   Griffin and I went out to Panmure for more vacum bags... and that kinda killed the tiny bit of energy I had.
I'm going back to bed.  Hopefully I am up for getting the house ship shape later on tonight, cos I sure ain't right now.

3.31 pm: first day I managed to eat some lunch ALL WEEK! And I just threw it up. Bugger.

So now Steve has come down with the flu too.  And I'm pretty sure Brylee won't be far behind either, she's starting to cough.

GROAN... I can see everyone getting it.

I thought I was starting to feel better by mid-evening, but now (9.30 pm) I feel dizzy and ikkk.  I'm trying to eat to get some energy back, but I'm not being too successful at it yet.

I'm going to bed super early so that hopefully, I have some energy tomorrow... though there isn't too much to do before the viewings at midday.

End of Day:  another utterly boring day on this here blog!  No photos even... for days!  That doesn't happen too often.

I HAVE TO GET MOVING TODAY

I'm still feeling mega sick.
But I have to sand that bedroom wall and get it ready for painting ... TODAY.

I hope I can do it.

Because I've never had the flu before... it's hitting me really bad.  I'm thinking of going to the Dr.  Maybe they can give me something to stop the vomiting?  That would be good.

1.24 pm: sanding is done and the first coat of paint is on.
Now back in bed wanting to die. Seriously this flu thing is brutal!

4.35 pm:  And sorry Tracy, but I got outta bed and put the 2nd coat of paint on the wall.  Now its DONE.
Oh, I also put on a beef and bacon stew for the family... cos sick or not, being the mother doesn't stop when ya sick.

Still feel like a limp dishrag... NO ENERGY what so ever.  Stew is the same.  And he went to work!   How can I laze in bed all day when he's at work?

Stew came home early again today.  He's feeling marginally better, wish I was.
When I cough my lower chest/ribs hurt like hell...like some bugger has beat me up!
That doesn't usually happen when I get the cough.  *sigh*   I'm a walking misery guts.

End of day:  Stew's gone to be early as he has to be up at 5 am to catch a flight to Wellington.  He's going to be back Friday night. I hope he feels a lot better tomorrow or he's gunna have a crap trip.

IN BED

Sick as a dog. Won't be doing anything today.

12.07 pm:  Because it's  fine day, I got up and painted the outside of the window that got repaired.
It didn't take long, and now I'm curled up on the couch with me medications... behaving myself.

Bex called in quickly with more Gees Linctus (cough syrup) for me and said Archer is sick too. Damn!  I hope he recovers quickly and isn't too miserable.

It didn't take me long to get to the 'cough, cough, VOMIT' stage!  Ikk.

3.43 pm: it's nice in bed! Just wish I could stop coughing. I can sit here and  watch the planes coming in to land at Auckland Airport. There's always heaps at this time of day.

4.30 pm:  a nice surprise... Stew came home early from Hamilton. He's  not feeling too crash hot... but at least he's not throwing up like me.

He brought home a little  box of chocolates.... I'm eating ONE. All I've had today is a banana so I ain't gunna feel bad over one chocolate.

End of Day:  dammit...Im feeling just as dreadful tonight as I as this morning... Only now I have to keep fighting the urge to just randomly vomit too.  Head is pounding, temp is hovering on 83.8.  I doubt I'm going to get much sleep tonight.
Griffin and Stew and both still sick too... though they ain't vomiting thank goodness.

WINDOW FIX

A few photos of the window repair:

ABOVE:  Identity the 'problem area'... cut out the wall... take a look.  Virtually no damp ... wood not rotten AT ALL....  plaster system intact and sound.  Tiny amount of water has come in from leaking window in corner.

ABOVE:  Take out the glass, put silicone all around the window...

ABOVE:  silicone in the corners  and the window track, then put the glass back in.  Done.

I am waiting for the gibstop to dry before I can repaint the wall.

I can't wait till Griffn's room is all back to normal and we can move on.

I'm getting me boobies squished this morning.  Mammogram... just what ya feel like to start the week off right... I'm sure!  *smiles*

Griffin is still sick, I think I will have to take him to the doctor today.  He's been running a  temperature since Friday... not too high, but it is probably prudent to take him now.

I think the plumber is coming back today with the new water filter tap too.  Hope he doesn't want to come while I'm at the clinic getting the 'squish' ! lol

ONWARD...

10.38 am:  Well that was a shit experience!
The radiographer was a nice lady, but she managed to manhandle me boobies in such a way that I ended up with both boobs getting bleeding splits on the underside of each boob!
I have fairly thin, sensitive skin under me boobs... and splits can happen if I'm not careful.  So, now I've got two stinging damaged boobs.
It will probably take a week for them to heal.

Almost makes me think I'll not be having a mammogram again!  But then... they are a necessary evil eh?

*sigh*

Moving on, the plumber was just leaving when I got home, he has installed a new water filter tap.. so now that's another thing off the list.

If fact, everything is now done except for painting the bedroom wall under the window.

Yaaa!

I've been pretty slack with the housework this past week, knowing we were not having an Open Home yesterday.  Now I have quite a bit to do... so I'm off to do it.

Well... STEVE... we have till Friday to get that wall done!   We have a couple coming for a viewing on Friday.  Exciting.... I better get the cleaning done pronto.

4.59 pm:  And while Griffin seems to have turned a corner and is eating again (A VERY GOOD SIGN) ... I on the other hand?

Feel sick as a dog.  Headache.  Temperature.  Freezing cold ... can't get warm.  Even with my cuddly blanket turned up to the highest heat.  Did I mention headache?  I'm taking Codral Cold & Flu, same as what Griffin's been taking. It's not working.

WORSE... Stew feels the same too... and has to drive back from Hamilton tonight, and go back again tomorrow.  AND then he is also in Wellington on Thursday and Friday.  Shit I hope he isn't feeling quite as bad as me.

I am fearful we may have passed it on to Dante and Archer.

End of Day:  going to bed early... feeling dreadful.  Poor Stew feels the same.

FINGERS CROSSED IT DOESN'T RAIN

We really don't want it to rain today!
Steve is coming over to take the glass out of Griffin's window so he can reseal it.

*sigh*  It rained a lot overnight.  So hopefully it stays dry for a while at some point today.

Hopefully Bex and the boys come over during the day too.
Though I am expecting them for dinner.  Stew's sister Khady is coming for dinner too.

I'm going to make a chicken stir fry with Udon noodles.  That should suit everyone, and it's not to fussy to make.

Nothing worse than being stuck in the kitchen when you have visitors.

My plans for the day are just to get some blasted washing dry!  I think it's rained on/off for over a week now.  Rather over it.

Yeah... and do some housework.  Nothing riveting at all sadly.

Anyone doing anything exciting?  Make me jealous, tell me!  lol

ONWARD...

We are so lucky!  It's a stunning day.  Steve and Dante rocked up at 8.30 am ... and the glass is now out.  All  we have to do is put silicone in the corners and then put the glass back in.

Like I said, a quick  fix.

Yaaa... the building inspector has been and said it's all good,  so now we can put the new gib board on, gib stop it, sand and paint it.  It should be all done in a few days.  I'm so relieved ... you have no idea how stressful this situation has been for me.

Bring on next Sunday for our next Open Home!

The guys have gone out to get stuff to gib stop the wall and they are going to pick up hot chips and bread for lunch too.  Nice.  Perfect for a chilly sunday lunch!  We have been so lucky today, the rain held off long enough for the window repair.

8.00 pm:   and all our visitors have left.  We had a lovely visit with Steve, Bex, the boys and Khady.
It was neat that Khady got to meet Archer for the first time.  She thought he was gorgeous.  Of course we agreed.  *smiles*

ABOVE:  Khady with Archer.  He was quite 'spilly' today and went through several outfits and LOTS of bibs!

ABOVE: cuddles on Griffin's bed while Steve did the window repair... which involved taking the glass out and running silicone into the corners and outer edges.

Now we just have to wait for the gibstop to dry then I can paint the wall and it will be done.

End of day:  and end of the house issue dramas hopefully!
