END OF THE FIRST WEEK

Sadly, it's almost the end of the first week of school. Then again.. it will be nice to know I don't HAVE to jump out of bed tomorrow morning and get the kids off to school ! Ya just can't win eh?

I think the kids have enjoyed being back at school though. They sure seem happy to go in the mornings... *smile*

Today... well I hope to finish the 4 small ducks, post the two bigger ones to Kim in Aussy, and go find us a compost bin!
What fun. I can happily shop for just about anything! As long as it's shopping. I know, I'm weird. (pretty picture eh?)...
ONWARD...

I havn't gone out yet.... been cutting out a few more ducks. And now.. I must put my feet up (literally).. my feet are horribly swollen... it's from the heat I am sure ... even me piddle pills are not helping today. Dammit. Thanks for the info Lynda, I'm sure it has something to do with it.

ABOVE: I'm surrounded by ducks! I am making more, gunna offer them for sale RIGHT HERE... small $12.50, Large $ 18.00. Postage on top of that. So, if you fancy a duck... ask me.... otherwise I shall just take them out to me SIL's shop.

ABOVE: I'm trying a different colourway.. muted I think you would have to call it!
Me feet are still swollen, even though I put them up for two whole hours! Pffffffft.

End of Day... another hot one. Kept my feet up all evening... didn't make much difference. I'm off to bed... nite nite.

  2. Well, I just caught up on your week. You are very busy. What is so funny is that you are complaining about the heat and we have had endless snow. I love your ducks. Very cute. Will visit again soon.

  3. Good Morning Chris,
I have been in a shopping mood lately - I must be getting into it from reading your blog. =) Might have to print out that pretty shopping picture as well - I like it.

Thanks for setting me straight about Brangelina! I changed the wording in my answers!

We have snow, too, but not as bad as the east coast!

    Shopping....gets me in big trouble!

  9. I am a deliberate shopper ONLY shop for want I want AND then I always wait until THINGS ARE ON SALE and then I am a bargain hunter extreme!!!!!

  10. Those ducks are just too cute... I think you'd have no trouble selling them! How about on Trade Me? or you might get sick of the sight of them if you made too many!

A great idea to sell them too.

    Have a great weekend.

  12. O Chris!
I absolutely adore your duckies! My favorite so far is the one you call "muted colors" !
You swollen feet scare me - have you considered a doctor visit???
You have too many responsibilities for anything to go wrong health-wise.

  13. I've had swollen feet and legs that are a bigger bother than ever before in my life. Certainly the heat and humidity are a contributing factor. *Piddle* pills aren't making much difference either. I thought it might be the Cappuccino sachets and sugar but have been without and makes no difference. Thought I may not be drinking enough water but drinking more hasn't made a difference. Then I decided I was sitting for too long at a time. Getting up and walking round for a few minutes twice every hour helps a little. Oh for a nice refreshing day.

Nice to see you turning your wonderful talent into filthy lucre

  14. Cute Ducks, They remind me of Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles.

We don't have Crocodiles any more, they're all gone.

  15. Sorry to hear about your feet. Perhaps two hours up wasn't enough? I hope you're fast asleep right now with them propped up!

Good work with your duckies! I'm a real fan of homemade toys from vintage fabrics... like buy old dresses, mens cord pants etc and think the ducks would look fab in that!

    for example:

or like the fabrics they used here:

just if you were really keen! Keep up the great work and keep your feet UP! K :)

  17. So sorry to hear about the swollen feet. That is just no fun at all. It interferes with your shopping!

Those ducks are adorable! How did you get started on ducks?

You are so good at projects!

Too bad you don't live near me. I'd have you do my shopping for me. There are people who do that for a living you know. LOL!

I hope your swelling goes down soon...as a fellow sweller I know how annoying it is!
