DOUBLE LEAD, GIRLS VISITING BLA BLA BLA

DOGSTARS:  You asked to see the double dog lead, well here it is:

ABOVE:  I made a strong wrist strap, then a split, two way lead to each dog.  Dante tried pulling them out of the family room, but he was hesitant to pull much and gave up.  It didn't help that Coco planted her butt and refused to budge!

ABOVE:  Loves for Coco, yep, she is under there!

ABOVE:  Having a good talk to Coco while Teddy pretends he's not there.

ABOVE:  going in for a kiss.... ewwww.  *smiles*

Both dogs are looking a bit scruffy, so Lacy is coming over to do a mini-groom on them for me.  I shall book them in for a full groom in the next week or so.

I don't want them really short though, it's getting quite cold now.

So today's plans:  Take the dogs for a walk... and I hope like hell we encounter other dogs this morning.   I've got BOTH dogs in bark collars... it could be very interesting.  Coco has hardly ever worn one.  *evil smirk*

Then when Lacy arrives she can do the dogs and I shall play with Miss Muppet.  That should be nice.

After I take them home (probably after lunch), I shall do some blog reading.

Stew flies to Wellington this morning on business, he will be home tomorrow night.  I don't quite 'get' why he's still going, seeing as he is more or less jobless within the company?

No idea and don't give a rat's arse either.  Over that entire situation.  One thing is for sure though, I am NEVER EVER stepping foot in that building again... because I don't trust what my mouth would say to Stew's 'bosses'.

Something tells me it wouldn't be nice.

ONWARD...

The walk.  Went well except for a couple of glitches.

1/ Coco's bark thingee keeps working it's way around to the top of her neck, so it won't zap her if she barks.  I shall work on that little problem today.

2/ Both dogs MUST stop at least (and I counted them) 38 times.   Must pee there!  and here!  and over there too!   AND ... Teddy had to poop 3 times, and Coco once.

So... our walk was more like a dawdle today.

I'm going to find something long that I can prod them with to keep them from sniffing every single blade of bloody grass/tree/shrub/letterbox bla bla bla.

The best thing about today's walk?   We encountered another dog.  Teddy was silent as he knew he had his bark collar on (clever bugger)... but Coco?  Heee  heee... she barked ONCE, got zapped and immediately lay down and shut up!

It was a picture to see.  So, I chatted with the other dog owner for a few minutes and both my  dogs just sat there, quiet as a mouse.  The other lady's dog was perfectly behaved too... well trained I'm sure.

Mine are not. Mine have been spoilt rotten.  Times are a-changing.

Oh!  Almost forgot to mention.  14 weeks ago I ordered a Year 8 'Special' School sweatshirt for Griffin to wear in Terms 2,3 & 4.  They were supposed to be at the school for pickup at the start of this Term, like.... 6 and a half weeks ago.

While out walking this morning I tied the dogs to the school fence and went into the office to ask where they were?

The office lady said they were DUE IN TODAY.  So, I very nicely told her that if they were not in TODAY, I was cancelling my order and wanted my $65 back, thank you very much.

I'm actually feeling a lot better in myself today.  Taking action on many fronts.  Getting my mojo back.  ONWARD peoples!

I have to admit I did a dumb thing.  Since Friday I was so upset and depressed, I stopped taking me pills.  All of them.
I spent last night bathed in sweat from hot flushes... and goodness knows what me blood sugars are like, or me blood pressure!

I realised I was doing a really dumb thing and have taken today's pills and will put a new blood pressure patch on.  *sigh*
It is easy to get depressed and do dumb things.  I've been there before.  Nearly did a MEGA dumb thing 10 years ago.  Luckily, I have some good brain cells still working.

I just weighed in ... and OMG!  I LOST A KILO AND A HALF!  I have no idea how that happened!  But, I also know that I shall have to be very careful over the next week, so the shit I ate does not show up on the scales next Wednesday.

Lacy and Keera spent a happy few hours here, Lacy groomed the dogs and got BITTEN by Teddy!!!  I was really surprised he did that.
OK, he hates having his tail combed, but still.  I stood over him and Lacy managed to get it finished without another bite.

Once they were home I started making another attempt at the pattern for the applique on the brown/teal quilt for Russell.

I'm happy to say my 2nd attempt worked.  I will show you tomorrow.

Tonight's dinner is left overs from the last two evening's meals.  So no work.. yaaa.

Then I'm going to relax and spend a quiet evening in front of the telly I think.

End of Day:  well I got a bit done today, and had a happy result on the scales, which kinda made me feel a lot better.

I'M NOT GUNNA BLOG

I have nothing nice to say.  So I ain't gunna blog right now.

I took the dogs for a walk again.  In the pouring rain.  Didn't bother me in the least.
What did bother me was both of them going ape shit at the sight of another dog... TWICE.
So I am going out to buy another bark collar, and they will both be wearing one when we go for our walks now.

Little bastards... it was ridiculous how much they barked and SHRIEKED at the top of their lungs!  I got so angry at them.

Yesterday's treasure:

ABOVE: 4 plastic wine glasses for Lacy.  Another melamine tray, very cute.  Two virtually brand new double sheets that I am going to use as the backing for Russell's quilt, they cost $4 !

ABOVE:  YES, another basket, and a beautiful dish.

ABOVE:  I am sure I can find a use for such a lovely basket.

ABOVE: The interior of the dish, so pretty.

Right, I'm now off to get the 2nd Bark Collar, then once home I'm going to make a double lead for the dogs and a wet proof bag for my phone when out walking.

ABOVE:  new bark collar, poop bags and fabric.  The brown is for the border of Russell's quilt, the fat quarters?
They were on sale today, down from $4.99 each to $1.99.   I saved $48 !   It's good to replenish one's stash.

I have just finished making a twin lead for the dogs walks with me.  Now I don't have to try and hold two of those retractable leads in one hand.  Yaaa.  (my other hand holds my Diet Coke of course)

CHANGES TO BROWN & TEAL QUILT

I had this brilliant idea about that brown/teal quilt.   I'm going to applique something ON TOP of the blocks to make it a bit more 'musculine' for Russell.
I hope it comes out ok.
I'm not going to say what I'm putting on it ... I will just wait and show you.

I did try to make a pattern for the added applique last night, but it didn't look right, so I'll have to give it another go later on.

Until then...

Today I'm going to take the dogs for a walk, then sew for the rest of the morning.  After lunch I'm at the Hospice Shop till closing.

Tomorrow morning I am going to devote to catching up with other people's blogs.

ONWARD...

Feeling really tearful today.
Stew had to go back THERE and act like everything was honky dory, I don't know HOW he does it.
If it was me I'd stay home in bed, call in sick for a week.... anything rather than have to face them at work and act like all is well.

Did another dumb thing.  Won't go into specifics, but I feel bad.  And sad.  But, like every other shitty thing that happens, you move on and get over it.

The dogs and I went for our 30 minute walk.  Coco kept doing this weird thing with her breathing, I think it was just due to her pulling on the lead.  But I can't help worrying, in case her tumour spread and we don't know?  I'm a worry wart.

Time to get back to the quilt applique pattern.

Or NOT.

I decided to edit photos from yesterday... and with Amanda's permission:

ABOVE:  Little Liam.  He is now 16 months old and doing very well. Walks some, crawls some.
Darling wee man.

ABOVE:  Miss Emily.  3 going on 10!  Very strong willed little girl, but gorgeous too.  She did a lot of 'posing' then wanting to see the photo of herself.  Very cute.

Right, I better be off to the Hospice Shop.  Fingers crossed it's busy.

Well... clearly I've not been on here since lunchtime!
Hospice was busy, if not serving customers I was putting stock out on the floor.
I saw a really cute and comfortable rocking chair for $10, but could think of NOWHERE in my house I could put it...

ABOVE:  See?  Lovely.  I said to Bernadette (Manager on Monday's) that if it wasn't bought by 5 pm I would have to get it!
Luckily ... it got sold within about half an hour of me saying that!

I did find some treasure to bring home, I'll show you tomorrow.

End of Day:  a truly down day for me really.  All the stress that has been building up for months finally caught up with me I think, making me miserable.  No one like misery around them, so I'll bugger off and go to bed early I think.

TODAY'S MISSION

I've got three things to do today.

1/ Go over to Lacy's house and find the two bassinets we bought when Miss Muppet was on her way.

WHY?  Because my boss at the Hospice Shop has a daughter about to have a baby, and she has no bassinet, no highchair, no pram... nothing much in fact.

So, I'm giving her one of our bassinets, our highchair and our pram... plus any other bits 'n' bobs I can find that will be of use.

2/ I want to do a bit more sewing.

Last night I joined up about 6 rows of the Brown & Teal blocks, and found that it is not going to be big enough to be a duvet cover for our bed, unless I add a gazillion more blocks.  So, I have to widen it a bit more and see if I have enough fabric.  If I don't, I shall simply make it into a comforter for on top of the bed.

3/ Have lunch with Amanda at Sylvia Park.

That's my 'plan' for today.  I think at some point I also need to sit down and take stock of where I am diet-wise.  The past few days I've totally gone overboard and eaten my way through a month's worth of calories!
Has to stop.  I can't keep taking my stress out on my pantry!

Time to haul it in, stop wallowing and get positive.

ONWARD...

MARGIE:  YEAH... glitch fixed.  lol

Getting ready to go and meet my daughter Amanda.  Her and I have reconciled this year, so having some contact together.  What goes on between her and the rest of the family is not something I can fix. End of.

It is another stunning winter's day!  I love days like this.

*** I just had a brain wave.  The Brown & Teal quilt is not going to be mine after all.   I am going to give it to our son Russell... he will get back into New Zealand with pretty much the clothes on his back, nothing else at all.  He's been left high and dry.  So, I think he can have it.  I hope he likes it.

I feel good about that decision.

Well, home after a lovely three hours spent with Amanda, Emily and Liam at Sylvia Park.  We spent a lot of time in the children's playground so Emily could play while we chatted and watched over Liam.
It was really nice.  Lots to catch up on.  I took masses of photos, but I don't think I have permission to publish any on here.  Sadly.
The kids are just gorgeous.

I didn't get over to Lacy's home today after all.  I shall have to make it a mission some time this week instead.

End of Day:  a fairly nice day I would have to say.

NOT

NOT HAPPY.
NOT EVEN GOING TO TRY TO PRETEND.

The last few days I have been going nuts getting my house all ship shape, clean and tidy.  More so than 'usual'.

I was looking around the house last night, after everyone was in bed... and it kinda dawned on me that all the tidying/cleaning was probably my way of coping with the uncertainty of what was going on with Stew and his job.

I couldn't control what was happening, so I did something I could control.  I cleaned and tidied and cleaned some more.   I also ate a whole shit load of crap.  That wasn't so good.

Now I have to try and get through the next few weeks without going nuts all over again.

It's all very well saying 'What will be will be'... but it's hard when you are living through 'it'.

It would be fair to say I have woken up in a really foul mood.  So, rather than try and fake it, for once I'm just going to say FUCK IT ALL, and be miserable.

Over and out.

We bought a thin gold chain to hang my two silver pendants on 15 days ago.  Yesterday it broke when one of the pendants caught on my tunic.  I was like, what the hell?  It wasn't even a big tug and it broke?
Today we are taking it back.  Not sure if I will get it replaced or not.
Time will tell I suppose.

It is a glorious winter day!  Sunshine, crisp air and hardly a cloud in the sky.

I can't keep being crabby with such a lovely day to enjoy... so I am officially back in a good mood.

ABOVE:  I finally found somewhere to hang my Rhino 'hook'.  Doesn't he look lovely there?

Out and about today, we passed a house having a garage sale.... you hardly ever see them since Trademe became the place to buy and sell.

ABOVE:  we got this lovely jacket for Brylee for $10, and a couple of cane trays.
I love the jacket, so does Brylee.

Now... I'm going dowstairs to do some sewing.  Or have a nap.  Who knows?  I constantly change my mind what I'm doing from one minute to the next.

I'm happy to say it's been an uneventful afternoon... spent napping, having dinner and now... Stew is in his element watching rugby and I'm going to do some sewing.

End of Day:  a bit early, but as I know the only thing I will be doing from now till bedtime is sewing, no point putting it off.

NOT GOING TO BE A NORMAL DAY

Approximately 8 months ago (Late October, 2013), Stew was handed a letter, informing him that his job was being 'dis-established' and being replaced with a larger, more complex job.

He was told he would have to apply with everyone else within the company who wanted to try for it.

Lots of other people within the company got the same letter pertaining to their jobs.

Quite a few up and left immediately, not appreciating the way they were being handled.

Over the next few months lots more left, having found and secured new jobs, and they received redundancy payouts.

Then at the beginning of this year the company realised they were losing too many qualified people, and having to pay out some pretty BIG redundancies, so they withdrew the 'dis-establishment' notices.  Stew got a letter saying his job was NOT being dis-established after all.

We kinda breathed a sigh of relief, but not really.  Stew had his doubts about it all.  His doubts were justified.  About ONE MONTH later, he got ANOTHER letter telling him his job WAS being dis-established AFTER ALL!

So we had to go through the turmoil all over again, only difference the 2nd time?  His job was going to be advertised outside the company, meaning there would be many more qualified people trying to get the job.

He had to go through an interview, just like everyone else.  He knew that there were some very highly qualified people going for the job, and he kinda felt like there wasn't much hope he would get it, even though he knows the company through and through, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience ...

Today it is about 8 months since he got the first letter.

Today is the day we EXPECT to find out who got the job.

Today I am probably going to try and keep myself busy.  I might even go out to the mall or Spotlight... and try not to dwell on what is happening with Stew.

This could be a very bad day... or a miracle could happen?  I just don't have a good feeling about this at all.
It's dragged on for so long.  I hope either way, it is over TODAY.  We cannot keep living with this constant stress. I know how I am feeling, so it must be so much worse for Stew.

So... I will pop back later on in the day to update on what I've been up to.

OH, AND GUESS WHAT?  IT'S BLACK FRIDAY.

ONWARD...

Shit a brick!  I can't go anywhere right now.  I'm expecting a person from Living Flame 'sometime' this morning to look at our fireplace.
Remember, we spent over $800 just last year getting it overhauled?  Well... it's not working very well.  I can get it to fire up, but after about 30-45 minutes it turns itself off.  And if I light it up again it does the same thing ... over and over again.

So, I am getting them out to take a look at it.  $90 call out fee applies if the fault is NOT anything to do with the repairs done last year.
I am fairly certain it is the new control dial playing up.

Fireplace lady turned up ... at 12.02 pm.  NOT quite 'in the morning' as I was told.  *sigh*
But... she thinks she's fixed the two problems that were found... both were parts replaced last year, so should be under warranty still.

When she left she said if it's still turning itself off, it is something she couldn't fix today anyway, so I'm to call her if it does turn itself off again.  Yaaaa.

Right, time for lunch, Home and Away then some sewing.
Ha!  I'd just sat down, turned McDreamy on and was about to start sewing when she arrived.  The gods seem determined to stop me sewing!

SO.  Stew didn't get the job.  We are NOT surprised.  The company had no intention of giving it to him ... any fool could see that after the way they have treated him in the past few months.

So... next step.  'They' want to retain him within the company ... so they say.... and are going to discuss the options with him over the next few weeks.

The options ... well hell.  Stew is going to be doing some job he probably will hate, while watching the new guy doing HIS job, and most likely asking Stew to help him out when he doesn't know what to do.

FUCK THAT.  Stew is going to make sure he can get a redundancy payout option to cover the next 6 months, and then if he hates the 'alternative job' offered to him, he can start looking for a new job.

I am just so angry right now... you have no idea.
Now we have to wait and see what they will offer him by way of a job.

MORE FUCKING WAITING.  OMG  I feel like driving into that damn office and fucking slapping a few people.

I just talked with Stew on the phone.  I let him know just how upset I am for him, and how goddam angry I am at the company for how this has been handled.  8 MONTHS of stress and worry... and now it is going to drag out some more, with a likely job offered to him that he will feel OBLIGATED to accept to keep him in employment.
I made him cry I think... can't do that again, he has to take what they offer him and move on.

I think over the next couple of months we have a lot to think about and consider.

LYNDA:  I don't know.

KELLY:  I will not publish your comment as you name the company, something that I will not do as it could backfire on Dad in a big way.

LACY :  same.  Don't say the companies name FFS.

TINA: thanks for pointing that out, I had missed that one!

TONIGHT:  I am going to pretend there are NO CALORIES in Bacardi and Diet Coke.  NOPE, none at all.

End of Day:  well eating dinner put paid to having any more grog.  I'm as sober as a judge now and just pissed off.
Going to bed.

IT'S THURSDAY, AND....

I'm not in a very good frame of mind.
Haven't been all week really.

Hot flushes have ramped up a notch or three.

It doesn't help that I know why.

1/ I'm eating too much crap

2/ I'm stressed out and crabby

3/ I'm eating too much crap some more

4. I'm mega crabby cos I'm eating too much crap, which is giving me hot flushes over and over again.

AND MY BLOODY BACK IS KILLING ME.

While we were out grocery shopping last night I picked up some panadol gel capsules... hopefully they are easier to swallow so I can keep on top of the back ache.  I shall also check out that link Surrey sent me.
I'm about ready to try anything that will help cos having a sore back is ... well.... SORE!

Something tells me I should be trying to strengthen my core.  It's shoddy to say the least, which won't be helping me back at all.

I'm getting a new necklace soon.  Amanda has bought me a belcher necklace to hang my two silver pendants off.  Apparently the chain I have been using is the wrong sort... she said it is not good for the pendants, wrong shape of links of some such thing.
She should know ... she manages a jewellery shop after all.

ABOVE:  I have been wearing them hung off a thin gold chain.  Now I will use that chain to hang my sapphire and diamond pendant on.  Amanda and Lacy bought me the sapphire pendant a few years ago.  I have no idea what happened to the chain it came with?
*sigh*.... probably somewhere 'safe'... so safe I've lost it!

Today?  Might read some blogs.  Then OMG, I might actually do some sewing!!!!
I've been saying that for how long?  Must be a week or two.
Funnily enough, other shit gets in the way.

ONWARD...

NOT reading blogs.
I'm going to slowly make my way through the house, vacuming, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms etc.  It's got to be done, the house is a pig sty.

Bex and Dante have gone out with a friend from Playcentre, so I can get on and get it done before they get back hopefully.
I just took 2 gel cap panadol's ... so hopefully my back will hold out until it's all done.

So far this morning I've:

Re-organised the spare bedroom and tidied it up.
Washed and hung out three loads of washing.
Cleaned the kitchen bench and everything on it.
Cleaned the gas stove top.
Cleaned the laundry.
Put everything up off the floors so I can vacum and wash them.
Moved some furniture around.

and.... get this.... it's 11 am and I still have to vacum and wash the floors!

AND.... I'm still in my pyjamas!   I could see no point in having a shower, getting dressed and then getting all hot and sweaty doing the housework.

NEARLY DONE.... just the vacuming to go I think!
It's been a long morning.

And pffffft.... I know I'm only doing housework... but a quick hello wouldn't go amiss sometimes all you lurkers.  Not feeling the love, nope, not at all.
Lacy, Kelly... say hi to ya Mum.  Bex...., Steve.... anyone???

I'm now taking a well earned break, and having a spa.  That should help the back for sure.

OMGosh the spa was WONDERFUL.  I really  enjoyed it, sipping me diet coke and munching on some Caramel Corn.... I shared it with Bex and Dante, so I didn't go overboard on it!

After everything was done, I sat down and watched 2 episodes of Home and Away with Bex, then I tried to have a 'Nana Nap', but that didn't work.  I just kept thinking of stuff I'd rather not be thinking about.

So, I'm up and just got the washing inside.  It's starting to rain, so I got it in just in time.

End of Day:  and the waiting continues on the job front.  I'm just about 'done' with the uncertainty of it all.

BYE BYE SOUTH ISLAND GIRLS, NEW OFFICE FURNITURE.

Our visiting South Island girls were picked up by an Airport Shuttle at some ungodly hour this morning, like 4.15 am!
Bex was going to take them to the airport herself, but they decided it would be easier for everyone to get a shuttle.

So, they are off on a 6 week Contiki tour around Europe.  Lucky tarts.

It was lovely spending a bit of time with them, I even had them all working in me kitchen last night:

ABOVE:  Something I never imagined would be going on in my kitchen... 3 South Island Tarts making dinner!  Heather (L), Mandy (C) and Bex (R).  They did the 'prep' and I did the cooking/serving.  Then of course, I sat back and let them do the dishes.  lol

Yesterday afternoon I finally got the new shelving units into the computer area, and sorted it all out...

ABOVE:  I spent about 3 hours getting all our paperwork and my bits 'n' bobs into the new units.  Bex thinks I have OCD, but I don't of course!  There is nothing 'different' in wanting my 'office' area tidy and organised is there?

Today:  I'm going to wash the floors then go and meet up with Lacy and Keera for lunch.
Hopefully the weather has calmed down by then... we had wind and rain all night here.
And I was almost COLD down in the garage!
*smiles*
I love my garage.

ONWARD...
Well... my morning and lunch was lovely.  Meet up with Lacy, minus Keera!  Keera was at childcare.  So Lacy and I had a look around the mall, then my Hospice Shop.

Lacy found a small Crock Pot, perfect for her and Keera for only $12 in the Hospice shop!  Oh and I got a little desk lamp for $4.
In the Warehouse I saw some very cute little giraffe 'lights'... they glow different colours so I grabbed two, one for me and one for Dante.

ABOVE: Dante playing with both the little lights, and the little desk lamp I got.

It's almost home time for Brylee and Griffin, wow today has gone fast.

I'm feeling a bit like????  Where is everybody?

Just had a melt down, first time I've cried over the uncertainty with Stew's job.  Feeling really alone, even though I know I have heaps of friends and family to talk to.

The fear of what is happening with Stew is really getting to me right now.

It doesn't help that my lower back is absolutely killing me right now either.  I took a panadol two days ago and had a major choking episode trying to swallow it.  So now, I keep gagging and coughing them up,  because I'm scared it will happen again.  Go figure.  Just when I really, really need them to help with the pain.  Grrrrr.

SURREY:  yep, low back pain.  I will check out that link, thank you.
Fingers crossed it helps, because I am so over it!

Stew and I just did the grocery shopping, and I bought some soft gel type Panadol tabs.  Hopefully they are easier to swallow.

End of Day:  a funny old day.  It was nice to spend the morning with Lacy.  We had a lovely time together.
I'm actually feeling a bit sick tonight and I've had some MASSIVE hot flushes today too... I think it's all caused by stress somehow.
That's me for the day.

VISITORS, PICK UP AND SEWING

This morning Bex is heading out to the airport to pick up two of her Invercargill girlfriends.
They are enroute to Europe for their Big OE I think? edit:  not their big OE, just a jaunt around Europe.

Anyway, I shall be watching Dante while she's gone.  Cool... just the wee man and me!

When they get back and have unloaded all their stuff into our spare bedroom, they are going to the mall.  Dante will go with them.

I have morning plans too.  I'm going down to the Hospice Shop to pick up those two shelving units.  Exciting!   I love re-arranging things in the house.  Hopefully these units prove to be useful.  lol... I'm becoming such a hoarder.

I need to go and get more batting for my Dresden Plate Quilt too... I am going to do a bit of work on that in the next day or two.  But until then...  I shall probably start joining those quilt blocks together... both the Brown/Teal ones, and the Pink/Teal ones.  Such a lot on the go at the moment in my sewing room.

I'm lucky that I have a hobby that I really love, and is productive.  There is just so much you can make with your sewing machine and some imagination,  and FABRIC!  Let's not forget fabric... OMG, I love the stuff.  How sad am I?  :)

Bex is a happy girl too.  She has fallen in love with crochet, and is learning new things almost every day!
Here is her latest learnt technique:

ABOVE:  'Bobble' blocks.   How cute is that elephant's head!
Kinda hard to show the contrast when it's all the same colour, but the next one she is going to make is using a different colour for the 'bobble bits'.
I can't wait to see it.

I can't finish my morning start without a photo or two of our wee man Dante:

ABOVE:  his latest trick?  Not sitting in the car, that's for sure.  Oh no... ya chuck your teddy's in there then you run through the rooms crashing into things!  And I mean CRASHING into things.  Coco has the right idea, she got up and away from him.  lol

Oh and I forgot to mention the screaming.  He screams at the top of his lungs... sounds like a dying cat.  *sigh*

Well, that's me for now.  I better go and look after that kid.  And see the other two off to school.

ONWARD...

The yellow and red car is about to be banished from the house!  Dante keeps on smacking it into me furniture, not funny any more.
He jolly well knows he shouldn't be too... I just told him off and he went and PATTED my credenza better!  Sweet wee boy.

We are having some right shitty weather today ... lots of rain and wind.  I'm not sure about picking up that furniture right now!

I did pick it up.  While it's been raining all day, it hasn't been 'torrential' at all.  I managed to get both the shelving units in the back of my Highlander, it's so HANDY having a bit vehicle!

Because the units are freaking HEAVY AS, they are still sitting in me car.  The guys can get them out tonight for me.

I had a pounding headache once I got home, so took myself off to bed.  3 hours later!  And the headache is now a dull pain, but not as bad as earlier.

Our lovely gas fireplace is playing up again.  It goes for between half and hour to an hour, then turns itself off.  Frustrating!  We just got it reconditioned 11 months ago.
So, I rang the place that fixed it, and they are coming out on Friday morning to have a look at it.  That's $78 thank you very much.  *sigh*

Guess what?  I'm already looking for another little girl puppy!  I know ... it's madness.  But we really want to make more puppies!  We love that side of having a girl dog.

I saw a darling wee girl down in Masterton a few weeks ago, but I changed my mind at the last minute.  So, I'm 'looking' for now.  The right girl will be out there for us soon I hope.

End of Day:  well... I got no sewing done today.  But I did get something done... show ya tomorrow.
