MOSAICS.... THEN SEWING

This morning I'm off to Mosaics in Cambridge.

After that I'm coming back into Hamilton to post KJ's Scrappy Doll to her.  I also plan on visiting David's Emporium, to see if they have some interesting buttons I can use for the dolls.  And rick rack?  Bex reminded me the other night about that shop, I keep forgetting they have that sort of stuff.  And probably cheaper than Spotlight too.

After I'll come home and get on with the next Scrappy Doll.

I've not had a chance to look outside yet, so can't comment on the weather... like you care ?  lol

I just hope it's not too windy for my drive to Cambridge later on.

Well I don't know about this weather.  We have A BIT OF WIND, but no rain.  I bet we get the worst of it on SATURDAY, or not at all.
Last time we were told terrible weather was coming, it didn't.  So, it's just a wait and see for now.
I'm off shortly to Cambridge... catch ya later.

10.51 am:  Home from Cambridge already.  I'm taking Lacy and Keera out and about this morning/lunchtime.  Keera can help me choose buttons for dolls eyes, I'm sure she will enjoy that.

It was quite blustery on the expressway, but not scarily so.  The wind is getting up a bit, and there has been a few spits, but nothing dramatic.

ABOVE: The haul from David's Emporium.  Talk about WAY cheaper then Spotlight!  When you only want two buttons from each container, instead of having to buy 6 at a time... so much cheaper.  I found quite a few bits 'n' bobs there.
Very happy.

After that I went to Chartwell Square, where it took easily 10-15 minutes of driving around in circles before I found a carpark.  Every man and his goddam dog is there.  School holidays eh, and lunchtime too boot.  😠😖
So I finally got a park, hobbled into the mall and posted off the Scrappy Doll to KJ, and came home.

My damn leg is killing me, I can't see it getting any better yet.  If it's still bad after the long weekend I suppose I'll have to visit the Dr and waste me money, cos I know it's just a muscle strain/tear and will heal eventually.  But some pain killers would be good.

Because I'm limping, it's affecting the rest of my lower body now.  My right hip and leg are now hurting too.  Grrrrr.

So this afternoon I shall sit on me arse and rest me leg.  What FUN.  Not.

I did sit on me arse for a while... started watching a series on Netflix.  Got bored.  Had a nap.
Then did a bit of sewing.  I got my 5th Scrappy Doll made.  I'll show you her tomorrow.

Stew is now home, and he's not going to the pub tonight.  Most of his drinking buddies are away, out of town or just not going tonight.  So he's opted to stay home with me.

We will just blob out in front of the telly, have a couple of drinks and relax for the evening.

It is very, very windy here today as well. I had numerous errands to run but after completing two of them I came home. I'll try again tomorrow. Enjoy your time out and about. Ky Girl

You shouldn't have rushed to send my doll Chris. If I'd known your leg was that sore still I'd have told you. I've decided to make it a little seat to hang from my walker? She can be my mascot and keep me going. Make the most of long weekend and rest your leg. Get some gel for pain and see if that helps. I wish I lived closer so I could check up on you. Lol Dr Jones.

    1. I had to go out anyway KJ, don't feel guilty! It's no better or worse than it's been for about 2 weeks now. I cannot stay home all day with me freakin' leg up can I? I refuse to in fact.

If you end up going to the Dr and he/she says you have to stay off the leg and rest it, will you take notice and do so - it will heal quicker. KJ, I love the idea of a little seat for the Scrappy Doll. Audrey

  7. Go see a physio about your leg. It should be covered all or most by ACC

  8. My leg had a 2 day sore stint. No idea why. It went away as suddenly as it came.
You could try the thrift (used) stores for weird buttons and such. Sometimes they have giant bags of random buttons for dirt cheap.
