Yesterday I went out looking for some really thick, warm pants to wear to markets. There's at least 3 more really cold markets to endure.
I didn't find any pants. So I'm back to thinking of getting a sleeping bag, a really good quality one. So later on today I might go out to find one.
Fingers crossed I find something, cos our next market is this coming Saturday. And the temperatures in the morning right now are ZERO DEGREES.
Also yesterday, I bought some earphones for my phone... but I can't get them to work. So that's something else I want to sort out today. I shall take them back to the store and ask them to show me how to get them to connect to me phone. Lacy tried making them work last night. She got them to connect to my laptop, but not my phone.
There is one more thing on the agenda today. But that is a 'not gunna tell ya' one. You will just have to wait and see.
It could be this morning, or sometime after lunch.
Catch ya later.
Is something getting delivered today? Something blue? And big? And Comfy?

Re the warm pants for the markets, have you thought about visiting a ski shop for some ski overalls or snowpants? Very warm! Try Mountain Warehouse if you haven't already
ReplyDeleteI thought you bought thermal underwear to wear under trousers last winter. Audrey
ReplyDeleteThermal top and bottoms will keep you warm or warehouse have warm fluffy lined leggings. They're too warm for me sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSleeping bag is a great idea as you mainly sit at markets so no clothing will keep you comfortable. Marjorie in Canada
ReplyDeleteFoot warmers on the bottom of your socks inside your boot or shoes

Ohhhh my guess is your lounge suite here!
ReplyDeleteChris - can I send you a picture to your e-mail of how I have my heat pump and a/c set on the remote? When I first got it I wasn't keen on how it worked, but my neighbor showed me how she set hers up and since I've done the same I sometimes have to wonder if they are even on because they are so quite.
ReplyDeleteFor heat - I set all three units on 70 and forget about it. For cool I set all three units on 74 and only use them during the day as our nights cool down to the 50's & 60's and it takes a good while, usually noon, before I need to turn them on.
What's the important thing is how the units are set. Which is the highest efficiency. My highest electric bill during the winter was $200. And I only had the one high bill...rest of them over winter were $140, $169, $180...etc I can live with that.
So far for the summer the highest bill has been $67.00
Also - my house is poorly insulated. I did have baseboard heating and boy, was that ever expensive.
Just trying to help out so you do not have to freeze.. I refuse to freeze or swelter. ;-). Ky Girl
This winter i brought some fleece lined trackpants from kmart and so much warmer than jeans or tights
ReplyDeleteI do alot of walking in the cold and have found them great and better still they are cheap
