Well. After looking at the rug and couches all afternoon yesterday... I was convinced it didn't look 'right'.
So, many moves of said rug later, and we settled on a new position for it.
ABOVE: First little 'tweak' was the painting. It's in the right position now.
ABOVE: The rug is now running width ways across the room, instead of length ways. This means when you come in the front door, you are not walking over the rug to get to the kitchen and rest of the house. The rug is truly in 'the lounge' area.
Today I am going to do those things I didn't get done yesterday. Get the new headphones working with the help of the bloke at JB Hi-Fi. And hunt for warm pants, or a sleeping bag.
Good news, my sister went home from the hospital last night. She will be much happier at home I'm sure, surrounded by her family and animals.
OMG, I just remembered something that happened yesterday that was AWESOME!
Lacy and I were outside while the delivery guys were inside unpacking the lounge suite.
Their truck was blocking the road.
So when the village van turned up, dropping off ladies who'd done their shopping, they couldn't get close to the ladies homes. They ended up being dropped off right outside my home.
One of the ladies who got out of the van was the one who 'runs away' and avoids talking to us.
She had 5 bags of groceries.
So I went over and offered to help her carry the bags to her house.
First off, she said NO NO NO, not necessary. But I just up and picked up her bags and told her I was going to help her, so there.
And she let me.
And she was like, talking and smiling at me!
She asked me a few questions, and I answered.
We had quite a lovely chat while we walked to her front door!
She was very thankful and kept smiling at me.
It felt really nice.
Maybe I've broken the ice?
Time will tell I suppose.
Maybe that poor lady is just incredibly socially awkward which is why she tries to avoid everyone, good on you for helping her 😁
