Here's a nice change... this morning I'm off to meet up with some FBG ladies, who are coming over on the bus to walk around the Hamilton Lake.
How cool. It's been a while since I walked around the lake, and I'm sure I will really enjoy it.
After the walk, there will of course be a coffee stop. Time to yak 😊.
After that, the girls are going to visit the Christmas Shop in town, but I won't be.
I do not need anything from that shop! Or rather, I don't want to see anything I MUST GET!
So I shall come home and work ...
ABOVE: My five runner bags! I hope we don't need any more. That's quite enough to be lugging from one market to the next if ya ask me.
ABOVE: I have one Red/Green runner just started at the machine...
ABOVE: And two more half done.I'd like to get all three finished either today or tomorrow.
ABOVE: How cute is this? Coco, she wasn't moving, no matter what Stew was putting on top of her. Right, I'm off to do a couple of jobs before I am meeting up with the FBG'ers at the lake.
It is 1.33 pm. And oh my, I've had a busy morning!
First up, walkies with the FBG's:
ABOVE: There were a few baby birds, but not an abundance yet.
ABOVE: One of the girls having a swing...
ABOVE: People feeding the ducks bread... even though there's quite a few signs asking people NOT to feed them bread. 😖😕
ABOVE: The lake was stunning today, and I thoroughly enjoyed my walk and chat afterwards.
ABOVE: Walk stats. Seems my new phone has decided to add a few hundred meters to the distance around the lake! Never mind.
On my way home from the lake, I got a text from our Real Estate Agent, asking if the family who have viewed the house twice already could come back again this evening? The husband couldn't come last night, so he wanted a chance for another viewing.
Of course I said yes.
ABOVE: I popped into Backstreet Bargains, on the off chance they had any of the Pohutukawa fabric??? And they had 11 meters left, so I bought it all! Best thing, it was on sale, I paid $19 a meter, while it is usually $35 a meter at Spotlight. It is a discontinued fabric, so I doubt I will be able to find/get any more. Makes it a bit precious.
NOW, I need to grab something to eat, and get the house ready.
I will be baking some more cookies!
I also have a beef/bacon and tomato casserole in the oven... the house is gunna smell lovely by the time they get here. 😊
And I'm going to be a bit knackered.
ABOVE: Today is the first time I have both ovens on, at different temperatures, and different time frames.
ABOVE: Tonight's casserole is in the top, and cookies are in the bottom. I love this oven.
When we move I shall probably look at getting another one just like it.
6.15 pm: home. The viewers stayed in the house for half an hour, and are still very keen. Now they have to work out their numbers, and perhaps make an offer, pursuant to selling their current home.
NOW. WE. WAIT.
Stew just got home, and ... he's eating a cookie.
They didn't get scoffed today.
The casserole I had on all afternoon was yummy. And now we are doing what we always do in the evening.... TV, then bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.
I forgot all about your lake walks. That sounds like fun.

Ye gods and little family she's, that oven is incredible. Superrr! The lake walk looks great. Something to see, birds, if not people, and it looks flat too. Even better when you have company. I must download an app to see how far I walk.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed
Time will tell the interest rates are helpful at the moment but finance places won't be open for much longer then its probably February ick
ReplyDeleteAgain - take advantage of this time to hands on/in person get to know the new home communities you are considering.
ReplyDeleteGo to holiday events and regular events to see how you would fit in/feel about the close proximity, repeat stories, social groups, opinions, noise volume, hidden costs, maintenance, staff, procedures, what you are allowed to change in the home, parking, things that require approval, rules, dogs, etc.

Best of luck with the interested buyers. Nice oven.
ReplyDeleteHope you get a good offer! I stopped making some stuff for my booth since I have so much to lug around. Figured I needed to sell off some more stock first :)
