Why do I get these ideas in my head, and just have to do it right NOW?
Like yesterday's bright idea to sort out all my fabrics/boxes of shit in the sewing room?
It is a mission I tell ya.
I got about half way done yesterday afternoon before I was just DONE.
ABOVE: The mess! Seriously though, it's going to be bloody awesome once it's done, because I will know exactly what I have.
Fabrics. Patterns. Kits. Notions. Threads. You name it, I am sorting it all out before we move.
IF we ever move! Selling a house in Hamilton right now is A DAMN SLOW PROCESS. It's a buyer's market for sure.
Lucky we are not in a hurry. And at some point, WE will be the buyers, and then the whole situation changes into our favor.
Swings and roundabouts.
So, this morning I will carry on in the sewing room, getting it all sorted out.
9.26 am, and the sewing room tidy up is done.
ABOVE: I decided to take the big trestle table out of here, it had all the runner bags on it, and boxes of market stuff under it.
I realised that it was better to show off how big the sewing room was, instead of keeping the garage totally clutter free.
ABOVE: And in fact, that lot does not impact on the space in the garage much at all.
ABOVE: And now EVERYTHING is sorted/labelled and in the right place. (for now)
I have some huge gaps in my fabric stash! I didn't really realise that until I did this tidy up.
After we move I think a big fabric shopping trip will be on the cards. Look out Stew!
ABOVE: Miss Lily is now pulling herself up to standing. It won't be long before she's scooting around the furniture and getting into mischief.
Now I am off to the supermarket for some more fruit to make smoothies.
I made one the other day, and quickly realised I HATE strawberries in a smoothie. And banana. Massive Ikkkkk.
I'm going to use more 'yellow' fruits than red ones. So Mango, Pineapple, Pear, Peach, Apricots and Passionfruit.
Off I go....
I am finally getting some fruit in my diet. Cos to be honest, I very rarely eat fruit.
This concoction reminds me of the Mango Lassie we had at our Indian Restaurant. So YUM! And cool to eat/drink cos I used frozen Mango. It will be lovely to have over summer.
Some good news. The Kinloch Market was a disaster for us, being that we were situated in a bog.
I ummm'd and ahhhh'd about contacting the organiser of the market to express our disappointment it the condition our site was in, not for one second thinking she would...
A) reply
B) offer us some sort of compensation.
WRONG on both counts!
She explained how this situation happened, how the local council did remedial work on the ground for a month leading up to the market (which we were told about on the day by a family member), and how sorry she was.
AND she is refunding us the full cost of our stall fee! Which is bloody amazing! I am so happy about that. At least we are not 'down' quite so much.
Kinloch Market my faith in you is restored, and next year we will be back, on the DRY SIDE of the grounds!
Less than an hour later, and that refund has already gone into my bank! Awesome.
Now, because I've got time on me hands, I just scrubbed out the pool, did a chlorine dose and turned the pump on. It should be sparkling for Sundays Open Home.
AND... because I had to immerse my arms in the water, I found out that it's not... NOT... freezing! We might be swimming sooner than I thought this summer. Cool.
Oh yeah, I finally found some bugs. Dead. In the pool.
Not very photogenic, poor things. 😂😅😉
