OUR FIRST VILLAGE MINI MARKET

Today is our FIRST Village Mini Market.  I say 'Mini' because there are not a lot of stalls, and I really don't expect many people.  But, I'm sure it will be nice meeting more of our neighbours, and showing them what I make.

The doors don't officially open until 9.30, so we don't need to rush down there.  I expect we will go down around 8 to hang up all the runners, put all the other stuff on racks, tables etc.

As per usual, I'll post a photo once we are all set up.

...

ABOVE: Set up complete.

The other stall holders are almost set up too. Now we wait.

I've looked at pricing .... others wares are super cheap. Obviously they ain't in it for the money.  I think we will be going home with an empty wallet. I've seen a few things I wouldn't mind buying!

11.53 am, and to our amazement, we are making some good sales!

ABOVE: And Steve, Bex and their kids visited us too.

Lily was very entertaining,  running all over the place.

2.40 pm, and we are home, all unpacked and me feet are up.  Stew has gone to do the weekend shopping (diet coke and his lunch supplies for the coming week).

We are going to have Indian 'takeaways' at Steve 'n' Bex's for dinner.

So, no cooking for anyone.

Quite a few of the other stall holders said our stall made an amazing impression coming into the room, and they thought it made the market look 'professional'.  lol  Nice to know we were appreciated.

I do believe we will do it again next year.

7 pm, and we all had Indian for dinner... it was delicious as per usual.  We got it as a takeaway for the first time, and it was just as good as staying in the restaurant I must say.

Now that we are home, it's time to relax, Stew and I are feeling a bit knackered.

Catch ya tomorrow.

  6. Stall looks very bright and glad you’re making sales would you consider markets at other retirement home villages always inside better start times?

I wondered about this too, but venders might always be restricted to residents from their own community, not public.
