Yesterday I was sorting through the three big boxes of plastics, and not often used kitchen gadgets. And I was like, where the hell are all our plastic boxes?
ABOVE: I found masses of LIDS... with no corresponding bottoms? I'm at a loss to know where they might be.I'm hoping they didn't get put up in the attic by mistake... cos that would mean 'someone' getting up there to check. Grrrrr.
I have a fairly impressive list of things to get done this weekend. The biggest one is getting the two extra Keter sheds assembled, and all the stuff that's to go in them, IN THEM, and out of the garage.
-There's also raising the headboard.
-Putting the Hold Backs on the walls, to hold back the curtains.
-And maybe we will get our weather vane up as well?
Some of that is going to be 'weather dependant', cos obviously ya don't want to be out in the rain.
*sigh*...
I. COULD. THROTTLE. COCO. She decided to wake up at 5.30 am, and go in and out the dog door a gazillion times. It makes an annoying flapping noise every time she goes in and out.
WHY? Like, WHY was it necessary to go in and out for over an hour? In the end Stew let her into the house, and she promptly went to sleep again. Meantime, I'm wide awake and cross as hell.
BTW, it's no warmer in the house compared to the garage, and she has a hot pod in bed with her 24/7.
So YEAH, so much for getting a sleep in.
ABOVE: I reckon this little hanger rack will look PERFECT somewhere in our new bathroom. It was hidden behind a door in our last home.
ABOVE: I took myself off for a little walk this morning, down to the river. It took me 90 seconds. We have had so much rain, I wanted to see how high the river was.
ABOVE: She's HIGH! If she rises another half a meter, water will be on the path.
ABOVE: Meanwhile, back at home... his nibs is very reluctantly putting the two new Keter sheds together. Less said.
Well, the second shed is done. Then we went off to Chartwell Square for lunch.
ABOVE: The mall was very busy again. We had our favourite, a kebab. I am going to try making Tabbouleh one day soon. It's so nice in a kebab.
ABOVE: When we left the mall it was fair PISSING DOWN. Torrential in fact. So making up the third shed is on hold for now...
I just realized how tired I am.
ReplyDeleteNot in the mood for celebrating the 4th.
Our Country has gone to hell, and I imagine it's only getting worse. We are now taking health care and food benefits away from millions in order to give Billionaires tax breaks. My local hospital may close, as well as my dentist office. Someone yelled FAG to a friend of mine as she was walking to her car. Make America HATE again. But hey.... Someone will have a few million dollars more on top of their Billions.
So sad what's happening in the USA now. All those millions of people who voted in a MANIAC, CORRUPT, MAD MAN must be regretting it now, SURELY? I will never visit the USA while he's in power.
DeleteIn my experience, they are not regretting it. Think of followers of a cult, it is like that. Makes no sense.

I agree, Vickie. The people who voted Trump in TWICE follow him like sheep apart from the rich who knew what they were doing. He is able to do and say the most outrageous things about anyone and everything and they blindly believe him. The only consolation is that all men like him in history have been overthrown eventually - let's hope the damage he is doing is able to be reversed. Audrey
DeleteDitto to all of your comments. The cult will follow him but the most crazy part is that the poor, hard working people who follow him will be the hardest hit and he has zero empathy for any of it. The world is disgusted and laughing at him. His new policy to use coal instead of furthering solar is madness. Going back to the dark ages. I could go on but it makes me so mad and I'm in New Zealand so I can't even imagine how many Americans are feeling.
DeleteLove your little boat house hooks very you. More wet weather here...not sure how there is anything left in the atmosphere left to make rain but still it comes. Need to finish Sarah birthday card today and get in the post, 18 years since that amazing weekend for bloggers gathering.
ReplyDeleteYes, ditto to all that has been said above. It is dark times in America. I am depressed over seeing the hate spewing from our government and I worry for all of us and for our planet. They don't care who hurts and will strip all rights away from us all. The current president is the most horrid of any person I've ever heard about or seen in action. I never ever thought this could happen in America. Never. Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteLove your river walk area...very nice. And your houses are cute and will look good in your new bathroom.

Yes, the little walk to the river looks so nice. I can see the houses in the village seem quite close together...my husband would be shouting and cursing putting the shed together lol...we would be too noisy for a village...lol..the bathroom paint is a lovely colour....Peta
