SUNDAY. MORE JOBS

Seeing as we got the 'big' job finished yesterday, today we just have small, odd jobs to get done.

ABOVE: The three Keter Sheds in place.  We also got all the shed stuff out of the garage and into the sheds, with room to spare.

ABOVE: All of the taller stuff that won't fit in the sheds is now leaning up against the house. I am hoping there's no complaint about OUR stuff being there, on OUR property.

1.50 pm.  We visited five different garden centres this morning, looking for a pot to have our Pig Weather Vane in.  Concreted into the pot, so it's not going to fall over.
We finally found one...

ABOVE: That's it there, the big square pot.  Stew will get it done next weekend, as we have run out of time now.
We are visiting family this afternoon.

Now, as to putting our bits 'n' bobs into the garage:

ABOVE:  Nope, no room there.
I need that tiny bit of space to work at my table.

ABOVE:  Nope, can't lean it all up against the fridge or freezer.
OR the garage door.  Might want to actually OPEN the fridge, freezer or garage door eh?

ABOVE:  How about along here somewhere?  NOPE, I would have to keep moving it to get to me fabrics. And I need to WALK down this aisle to get to the sewing area and back door. You know, to get outside, hang out the washing and so on.

ABOVE:  What about in my actual sewing space?  NOPE, no room there either.  I can only just swing a cat in that space as it is.

ABOVE:  What about down this side?  NOPE, I can hardly walk down there as it is!
So WHERE THE ACTUAL FUCK am I supposed to put it, IN THE GARAGE?

Some comments just don't need an answer.  Each to their own, and what we have in our home, and how much, is our business.
Our visit to various family members was nice today.  It was good to get out of the house again.
Though, it is also nice to be home most of the time.  It is slowly coming together.  Maybe by the end of this coming week we will actually have a working bathroom again?

The Keter sheds look nice. Do they have doors that open out and a top that lifts up? Ky Girl

Nice. Makes it easier to get at things stored in it.

The three little storage areas are quite nice in a row like that. They tuck in nicely.

I would suggest putting the tall stuff in your garage. Here, similar neighborhood, that would not be okay.

I like those sheds they look really good...I might look into those...as the houses are so close together, things have to be tidy...Peta

  4. The Keter sheds look very nice ... tempted to consider getting some for our place to get some stuff out of our garage. With the tall things - is there any room to store them in your garage? I would be worried about them getting stolen, or just generally facing faster wear and tear when exposed to the weather elements. Have a good day ahead.

I agree with Paula about the taller things. Not sure if they are covered at all by a eave gutter or such 🤷‍♀️. As they are above your fence line, would they be considered as being unsightly to your neighbours (as I can see houses are extremely close, is that the front of the house behind you?) oh the joys of community living 🤦‍♀️

Maybe hang them up with hooks,I guess the hardest part is finding a space on a wall

  7. Friend of mines husband had a rack type system on inside of garage roller door for long poles fishing rods etc to go lengthways on door it worked perfectly.
Then under an eave outside a hook type system it had a lid to open which kept tops of tools tidy so to hang long things .
I’d be disappointed if you couldn’t have them there.

  8. Are you sure you can't consolidate your fabrics more? They seem to be taking up masses of room that could be freed up. Also, do you need three fridges? We manage perfectly well with one fridge freezer in the kitchen and a small freezer in the garage. Maybe now that you have moved, take a good hard look at what you could do to get rid of more stuff.
