LAST BOX RUN

Righty ho... what am I getting up to today?

First thing, I'm going out to buy the last few boxes we will need for our move.

I don't think we will need too many more though.

Once that is done, I will come home and potter around the house a bit more.  I'm now actively looking for shit to do... trying to make sure I have done all I can before 'moving day'.

I will also get on the exercycle this morning, and again this afternoon.  No more procrastination.

JUST IN CASE you are reading this Sienna, HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY!  Grandad and I hope you have a lovely day.

ABOVE:  Bex sent me this picture last night.  I immediately replied with "NO, JUST NO!"  😂😅😂

OK, time to roll over and stack a few more Zzzz's... or at least scroll on me phone for a while.  It's cold out, not conducive for getting up yet.

Thanks for suggesting I look for used boxes on Facebook etc.
I have seen a few lots advertised, but they go super fast, and I only needed about 4 more boxes.  So buying them was easier.
Which I have now done.

I also tried tracking down my favourite lipstick, to no avail.
It's not on the market now, but at Farmers the lady said they are bringing it back next week she thinks.
In the meantime, I bought another one which will suffice for now.

I arrived home in time for an early lunch, then I did some ringing around to sort out stuff like power/phone/sky switches, from here to the new house.

I've got two done, and now... on to the next one.

3.31 pm:  Well, I've sorted out the power, gas, phone, internet and sky accounts.  All will be disconnected here and reconnected 'there' on moving day.
HUGE TICKS.

And that is all I've done since getting home from 'box shopping'.

My leg held up fairly well while out and about, but was sore when I got home.  So I've been a totally lazy tart this afternoon and stayed on me butt.

I think I overdid it a bit yesterday, so knew I had to take it easy today.

9.40 pm:  Another quiet evening here, still watching the telly, Coronation Street is on in soon.  Probably stay up and watch it.  Yeah, still watching the damn thing.

I’m a member of a few local community Facebook pages in my area in Melbourne, very handy for tips, asking if people have excess lemons, letting others know of people casing out properties, etc. One of the things I often see is people asking for or wanting to give away moving boxes. Seems like you never have to buy them here, just ask away. Marie, Melbourne

Personally, I am not a fan of using other people’s boxes.

But, I save my boxes and post them (for free) when I have a pile. They go very quickly, they are much appreciated.

Do your Bunnings have leftover empty stock boxes at front of store?

    1. Yes they do, so does Mitre 10. If I need any more smaller boxes I shall go there! Thanks for reminding me.

I thought they might come in handy for extra boxes or small items

  9. Are you nervous, at all, about this move? OMG. I second guess myself NONSTOP. Up until the move is done. Then, all that goes away and I think why didn't I do it sooner?
