GOOD MORNING. Today I am 'biting the bullet' and going to an A & E clinic, paying the exorbitant price and seeing a Doctor. I want some painkillers that will WORK while we are away.
I'll also chase up the ultrasound. If necessary, I'll go private for that once we get home again. As someone said yesterday, at least I will know WHAT the damn problem is after an ultrasound. (hopefully)
Stew is waiting to see a knee specialist, there is no hurrying that appointment up unfortunately. He's already been in and seen them, and they 'triage' everyone, and he's ON THE LIST. So who knows how long that will take.
Going 'Private' won't make any difference to his wait.
Sewing. I have cut back on how much I am doing, as my BSA is worse after sewing for a while. I do want to get the latest Round Table Topper finished before we go away though.
So, after I've been to the Doctor, and run a couple of errands, I'll come home and work on that.
I won't go out first thing this morning though, as Lacy said she is coming over to work on our gardens. Think weed matting and rocks. Lots of rocks!
HAPPY QUARTER CENTURY TO BRYLEE TODAY!! Dad and I hope you have an awesome day.
11 am, and Lacy and I have done three of the four garden areas with weed matting and rocks.
ABOVE: I got up an hour before Lacy arrived and pulled everything out of the gardens, so they were ready for Lacy to put down the mat and rocks.
ABOVE: We worked hard for a couple of hours and got those three gardens done. Tomorrow we will tackle the final one.
ABOVE: She was proud of her rock pile. I'm sure there's a name for such a thing... enlighten me.Now... I'm going to have me shower then go to the Drs. And get three more bags of rocks.
12.20 pm. I thought I'd chance my luck at my normal clinic, perhaps they could fit me in today or tomorrow? So I drove down there.. and WOW! A doctor can see me in an hour. Talk about lucky. I'm going to save over a hundred dollars.
Just sitting in me car killing time now.
3.03 pm. Success! I have new painkillers, and a new referral for an x-ray and ultrasound. Seems my usual doctor forgot to give me the letter of referral, and advise me that I HAD TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT! Grrrr. A whole month wasted, while I sat and waited for them to contact me. I sure in hell didn't get told I had to ring them. So, I am having the x-ray and ultrasound on the 13th of October.
Sorted.
On to the next thing on me list.
I've arranged international roaming for me phone, and I've picked up 4 more bags of rocks for tomorrow.
Now I can relax for a little while. Before Stew gets home and needs dropping off at the pub.
Good luck at the doctors. I hope it goes your way. Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteI hope the doc can get an idea of what is wrong. Pain meds will help too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the needed pain meds and the doctors figure out the cause and treat it. Cute photo of the old people needing re-potting.
ReplyDeleteIf I need urgent care or a quick appointment my doctor's surgery will always make room. I am not guaranteed what doctor I will see but I can always get seen that day. Does your doctor not do that? Also, isn't this a result of an injury so should be covered by ACC?
ReplyDeleteI think I had to get a CT scan for my shoulder, not an ultrasound.
ReplyDeleteVickie
That’s a good idea at least you’ll get an idea of what’s going on. And it’s ow affecting your enjoyment of life, hobbies etc.
ReplyDeletecongratulations to Lacy with her new job.
Brylee 25 wow happy birthday.
Inukshuk or Cairn
ReplyDeleteYou rock!!!
ReplyDeleteRockpiles are called Cairns. There's a town in Far North Queensland with the same name :) xx Colleen
ReplyDeleteRock pile is called a cairn. A hiking thing. Marie, Melbourne
ReplyDeleteThere are several tourist cairns round South Island - piles of rocks for tourists to make their own.. Great photo opportunity especially with kids. Audrey
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of rock gardens - one right around the back of our place with paving stones in and the other by the patio. They are great! I'm not a fan of those large rocks in the front though... just too much. I do like the one with just the pots and the stones.
ReplyDeleteWow, gardens look great! Lacy sure is like her mum when getting work done πππ Happy birthday to Brylee, crazy that she is 25. Hope your doctor’s visit goes well π€
ReplyDeleteI sure am My Mothers Daughter.....at times im sure they wish they had adopted me out...or strangled me lol one or the other......but here we are 45 years later lol π

Awe Lacy your mum and dad love you, you’re a wonderful daughter π
DeleteFingers crossed that you get help from the doctor today ❤️
ReplyDeleteLove the garden rocks and pots - yay Lacy again!
We’d call a rock pile Inukshuk, plural Inukshuit.
Happy 25th Brylee goodness!!
ReplyDeleteLots of stacked stone structures around lakes etc down towards tekapo and twizel. I know the Japanese have a name for it but I'd need to Google it. I wish I had a quarter of Lacy energy. Hope you're getting some attention for your BSA.
Well - you certainly gave your arm a workout right before the Doc!
ReplyDeleteI didn't do any of the heavy lifting, just pulled a few weeds, transplanted a few plants etc. Lacy did all the hard work.
