Last night I went to bed really early. I'd had some dumplings for dinner and they made me feel sick as a dog. Awful.
I still don't feel 100%. It might be a slow day.
Lacy might come around and finish off the gardens, or it might wait until tomorrow. I know I won't be doing it! I'm sore from what I did yesterday.
Moving on.... if I feel up to it, I shall get that round table topper finished.
My niece Rowena, in Brisbane, sent me a weather notice yesterday. It was 32 degrees there! Eee gads, that's warm! We are not used to that at all. We will be packing summer clothes for sure. And I have virtually no summer footwear, having tossed out all my old ones when we moved.
So I might need to buy some before we leave on Monday.
Right, that's me for now.
Catch ya later.
10.15 am. Lacy called in and unloaded the extra rocks from my car. She's coming back tomorrow to finish the gardens.
I was gunna go out but am feeling ROTTEN, so have gone back to bed. The nausea is still strong... I feel like throwing up constantly. Not fun at all. Stew ate the same dumplings as me and he's fine, so clearly they just didn't agree with me.
I ended up sleeping for about an hour and a half. Woke up feeling slightly better.
So did a bit of work around the house, tidied up out the back door, took me car down to it's carpark and did last night's dishes.
Had some lunch, which went down OK. I kept it small and hopefully having some food in me belly will help overall.
Now I'm going to binge watch three episodes of Coronation Street.
8.27 pm, and it's been, as I predicted, a slow day.
I caught up with Coronation Street, had another nap, then waited for Stew to come home from work.
I had a massive hankering for something sweet, first time in weeks!
So Stew went out and bought some chocolate cake. I managed to eat one and a half pieces. It wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be.
I think I can go without any more for a few more weeks now.
My 'new' attempt at losing weight (#4,599), is never going to be about total abstinence, more about some balance... some indulgences once in a while.
If you try to go without what you are craving all the time, you are bound to fail.
Though I am impressed that I've not craved sugary shit for so long!
My determination is very strong this time around I must say.
And on that happy note, I'm off to bed. Still tired and sore.
I hate belly problems. Get well soon! Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteDidn\'t you buy some summer sandels for your grandson's wedding? Audrey
ReplyDeleteI did, and I still have them. They are not suitable for walking around for any length of time, they hurt my feet!
DeleteBuy some Skechers when you get to Queensland, they’re always having sales
DeleteTake summer clothes but a warm jacket too. It's like here. Been caught out many times. Kj
ReplyDeleteThe nausea might be something else as Stew isn't unwell...the new pain meds? maybe you ate something different in the day? or caught a stomach bug.....hopefully you will be ok soon.. Peta
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Brisbane is having a bit of a heatwave next week...Peta
ReplyDeletePain meds can make people ill - check that it is not those - would be horrid to be sick when away
ReplyDeleteSummers on the way in Qld! Got to 35 here yesterday
ReplyDeleteSometimes chocolate cake is essential. A bit of cake now and again might just help you avoid attempt #5000. Maybe it was a good thing it wasn't quite as enjoyable as you anticipated. Been there done that!!! At least it won't be on your mind again for a while. 😏😄 Hopefully
ReplyDeleteTummy trouble is terrible. I go through bouts of it too. I am currently on another weight loss journey. It is slow! But yeah week for the last 6 weeks I lost something, so I am hopeful. I just wnt to be healthy as possible as getting old is hard enough.
ReplyDeleteReading backwards here.. But, I am very glad the tummy issues went away before your trip. Phew - that was close!
