RING SHOPPING

Today I'm going ring shopping.

On Sunday it is the 40th Anniversary of our meeting each other.  And I'm going to get a ring to commemorate the day.

I had thought of waiting until our actual 40th Wedding Anniversary in 2 years time, but nah.  I've decided, why wait till then?

I remember our first meeting with super fond memories, it's worth celebrating too.

So... I'm off to all the jewellery shops I can think of this morning.  I reckon it's going to be FUN.  😊😏

At the last Tamahere Market, we ordered a couple of small side tables for outside, between the outdoor chairs.  They are ready to be picked up this afternoon.  I'm looking forward to using them over summer.

So, that's me plans for the day... catch ya later.

12.33 pm, and I'm home again.  Lacy and I spent a lovely three hours looking at rings, at pretty much all the jewellers in Hamilton.

We, or rather I, settled on one in particular.  BUT I need to explore all the options first, so Stew and I are going up to Auckland tomorrow.  lol
I can't get one and then possibly see something even more beautiful later on can I!
So that's the plan for tomorrow.
I'm now having some left over mince and potato pie (minus the pastry), for lunch.
Then a bit later on I'll go out and pick up the outdoor side tables.

ABOVE: And there ya go, two new side tables.  I think Stew is gunna have to waterblast and re-stain the chairs now.  Much as I love the lichen look, it doesn't 'go' with the tables eh?  😂😅
7.14 pm:  Well it was a good day.  Stew is now home, he's had left over pie for his dinner too.
Now we will just watch the telly till bedtime.
Catch ya tomorrow.

  2. I'm not a 'ring' person these days. I just wear one beautiful flat ring with diamonds in it. Stew and I are not married so we always celebrate our 'meeting day' as our anniversary... coming up to 24 years :)

I’m not a ring person. I have a Ceylonese sapphire on white gold, a little like princess Di’s engagement ring (not as big of course), I wear it when going out. I love a solitaire diamond, totally less is more, but it needs to be big, so I don’t have one, unlike a very close friend who has a beautiful 5 carat solitaire. Marie

  4. I actually said to my daughter last weekend that I should have got a ring for our 40th wedding anniversary in May but I didn’t think of it at the time

Lovely idea. Have you shared how Stew and you met? I can’t recall but am glad you found each other. Marjorie in Canada.

  6. 40 years is certainly something to celebrate Stew and you have been thru some years of ups and down but certainly a beautiful life to celebrate

  7. Minus the pastry? What fun is that?
I have some friends coming tomorrow for the weekend. I just made LASAGNA! Steve would be proud! It's only the 2nd time in my life that I have made it from scratch. I always thought it was too hard. But it wasn't that bad and there will be plenty of leftovers - my favorite.
I am such a minimalist when it comes to jewelry! I have earrings (tiny posts) with flat backs. So I wear them 24/7. Sleep and all. Can't even feel them. I have 1 tiny bracelet. Also worn 24/7. And Both Hubby and I switched from plain gold bands to silicone wedding rings. So comfortable! Like having nothing on. I know... Weird...

    1. Well done with the lasagna... I love that too. Pastry gives me acid reflux sadly. I love BLING! Diamonds 💎 are so lovely.

  9. Staining those chairs is a great job for you to do during the week. It's very easy - I do ours every other year and they come up really well.

  10. Once you put the cushions on the chairs no one will know what they look like underneath 🤣

  11. Tables look a great height I've found outside tables usually very low for my glass of wine
