MULTI CHOICE TODAY

This morning I've got a few options on what to do.

I could go to Cambridge and mosaics.

I could join the village walking group and do a 6 km walk.

I could stay home and do some sewing.

So... what to do?  Maybe do the walk then sew?

ABOVE:  I am loving this jigsaw set up. I can slide it over me knees and work on it, while still watching the telly.  It is a challenging jigsaw I must say, and that suits me just fine.  I love hard ones.  I never look at the picture either, making it even harder.

This puzzle is a very good quality one too, making it even nicer to work on.

Right, enough waffling.... I shall lie here and read the news, then .... let's wait and see.

9.24 am, and a walk was out of the question.  Once I was up my back was awful... so pain killers are on board.

ABOVE: And this tart came over and did my vacuuming for me.  Now we are contemplating going to the mall for a wander....

ABOVE: Moment of madness....
I have NEVER done anything with my eyebrows, except use a pencil now and then.
Today I decided to do what my niece in Australia suggested, and get them henna dyed.

ABOVE: See, hardly any brows at all!

ABOVE:  My immediate reaction?  '
"Holy shitballs!"  The ladies laughed their heads off, and kept laughing every time I looked in the mirror and did clown faces at myself!

ABOVE:  Much better now!  I think I like them, though they will take a bit of getting used to, and maintaining.  Apparently in a couple of days they will 'tone down' a bit as well.

4.10 pm and I've spent the afternoon fluffing around in the house, taking Coco for a walk around the village (she absolutely loves it), and having a lie down.
I used my massager on my back and shoulder/arm and I think it helped a bit.?  Time will tell.  I'm going to use it every day for a week and see what happens.
Stew will be home soon, and then I'll be taking him to the pub, and visiting the kids, until I join him there later on.
8.15 pm, just home from the pub.  We had a lovely evening, catching up with the kids, then all our friends at the pub.  Lot's of compliments on me new eyebrows too.  😉😊
Time to wind down, take some painkillers and later on head off to bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.

Send her my way. Anymore it kills my back to vacuum. I'm living on Tylenol Arthritis and Lidocaine patches.

  3. Oh boy I hope those pain killers kick in soon.
Ummm I have no words about eyebrows but for people who have fair hair it’s a game changer.

It looks thick, like a paste, so maybe dye. Oh my.

Bad back……Chris I have two popped discs in my lower back, not being a hero here, getting up out of bed is not great, however, walking is the best remedy for me. Once I get moving, go to gym, go for 8k walk after it, my back is absolutely set for the day. Not saying anyone has to do this, it’s my habit, but if I didn’t do it, I’d be stuffed. No painkillers either. Marie

It will be interesting to see each week what the henna does over time.

  7. Well, I think this worked pretty well. If it fades a bit I think it will look even more natural . My husband has blond (nonexistent) eyebrows. I am so used to it. It looks totally normal to me. But, I understand wanting your brows show and this seems like a perfect solution. Now - figure out how to do it yourself at home and you will be all set!

  8. I think they are going to look great. What is the maintenance on them Chris?

  9. My daughter gets her eye brows done occasionally as she is a red head and hers fades nicely after a couple of days

  11. Looking good. I have been thinking of getting mine done as mine aren't ever good. Take care with your back. I agree though walking but not overdoing it is best therapy.

Oh glory….I thought the first photo was the final result! Bold choice, I muttered to myself, bold choice. I think the finished brows look great though!
Few years ago I thought it would be fun to dye my hair again - I should explain that through weird family genetic, my hair turned bright silver white when I was 15. Eyebrows have stayed thick black though, insultingly. So, I hennaed it. Chris….a DISASTER! Neon Orange. And I had bum length curly fuzzy hair. It was coco the clown come to life!

    1. Did you take a photo of the disaster? Sounds like it was worth seeing! lol

I think my brother snuck a photo. I was mortified beyond reason! I cut it to about chin length , forgetting that the weight of long hair was all that held it down. So then I had mad cat lady orange hair halo. I cried quite a lot…

  13. Eyebrows look good. They always seem dark when first done but they'll look amazing tomorrow. Really makes such a difference... i have pale blondie ones and colour them in every day 😉

At least henna fades if you don't end up liking them. I would never get proper tattooed ones, seen some disasters lol

  16. Omg.... I remember when in NZ once my s in law took me to get my eyebrows done. Shock. Horror. They do tone down but I much prefer my blonde almost non existent ones. Don't worry. You always look terrific!!

  17. Have you considered massage therapy for your shoulder & back? I find them to be so incredible for pain. Once you're feeling better the walking group will be so much fun for you. You loved that Cambridge club.
