EXERCISE THEN MORNING TEA

Summer is coming, and I'm on a mission to be a certain weight by Christmas.  I'm already almost half way there!

I don't anticipate a big loss on the scales tonight, but a small one is still a win. Fingers crossed for a small win.

With a view to adding more exercise into my days, I'm going to the village gym this morning.

After that I will join the 10.30 am Coffee and Chat.  I've been to a couple of those already, and they are OK.

I'm not going to give up on integrating into this community, but I am going to take is slowly.  And be more careful in what I say.

I will be 'true to myself', but I won't be quite so free and easy with my opinions, attitudes etc.  I can be a handful!  And some people find that hard, I know this for a fact.  I can get carried away with enthusiasm for things, and forget others are not like me.  I am open and honest and that doesn't go down so well sometimes.

LIKE, black IS black, and facts stand out over crap.

After the morning tea, I'm going to have a nice long soak in the hot tub, before coming home.

Yesterday's post has been deleted. Just being careful that it doesn't come back to haunt me.

My back/shoulder/arm is playing up again this morning something rotten.

I did a little exercise in the gym, but didn't last long.  I'm now contemplating not going to morning tea, and just staying here with pain killers on board.

Well I did go to Coffee and Chat, and I'm glad I did.  I found out about a little walking group that walks on a Thursday morning.  I think I'll join them and see how it goes.

ABOVE:  I'm now working on this round table topper.  I'm not sure which way it's going right now, I'm thinking of adding some pink and green...

ABOVE:  And then, I decided to make a pie for our dinner.
Went to the freezer for pastry, got none.  I decided to make some.  Got it all ready to roll, and ... NO ROLLING PIN to be found.
So I pop next door, and luckily 'D' had one and was perfectly happy to loan it to me.
So, I'm making pastry, cooking mince for the filling, making mashed potatoes... sewing will have to wait.

My pie is ready for the oven, I'm feeling ever so domesticated!  Making me own pastry even. lol

Mrs F with 4:  Can you see me putting ICE on my body, like ever, ever, ever???? It's like ... COLD!  lol

Nothing is helping with this pain, not hot packs, or all the pain killers I have etc.  If it doesn't get a bit better soon I'm going back to the Dr.

6.30 pm:  Just home from WW, where I recorded a loss of .200 grams.  Not stellar, but I'll take a loss over a gain any day.
The pie is now in the oven, I hope it's nice cos I've been looking forward to it all day.
It's a mince and potato pie, pastry top and bottom.  Having it was tomato sauce.
And that is me for the day, I'll catch ya tomorrow.

I had a nice long soak in the hot tub this morning. My sciatica needed it in the worst way. I.hope to go back on Wednesday for another soak. Now it is laundry time, etc. Have a good day! Ky Girl

Sorry to hear of your pain. I can sympathize. Take the painkillers and go. Do yo have to take a snack to share?

  3. That’s no good with your pain again do you know how it happened? You have been doing a lot in the last month or so.
    Hope it improves soon.

I love the material on the left of the photo, with the wildflowers on - I mean, I love all the material but that one particularly catches my eye.
Hope that your pain improves, does ice alternating with heat help better than just one or the other?

  5. ouch. That sounds like a pain. Although making pastry with that sore arm still worked.

  8. It's great that your village has a walking group. You loved the one you joined in Cambridge. I hope the doctor can determine the issue with your shoulder. Pain is so exhausting. My sciatica has kicked up & it's been miserable. I have never tried making my own crust. Yours sure looks yummy.
