Thank You to everyone who popped in yesterday to say 'Hi' and leave a nice, informative comment. It was neat hearing where you were from, what ya were doing and so on.
Sad no one was about to throttle anyone, but I live in hope... though it's more likely to be me doing the throttling than anyone else eh? ππ π
Yesterday's runner is finished, but I've not taken a photo yet. I'll do that later I suppose.
Right now, I've got a load of washing in the machine waiting to get chucked in the dryer. It's too wet to even think about hanging it out. And I can't be arsed hanging it on racks. I worked out it cost us $2 to dry a load in the dryer... I'm doing it!
Once that's done, I'll get into Crabby Quarters and start THE NEXT runner. It's taking about 2 hours to get each one quilted and bound. So not too bad. Bearing in mind I have to cut out the backing fabric, pin all three layers together with a few dozen safety pins, then also make the binding. So it's not just 'quilt and bind it' really.
I love it when one if finished, I look at it and still can't believe I MADE THAT! They look so good ... to me anyway. I'm proud of them.
OK, enough waffling... off I go to start me day.
ONWARD...
ABOVE: And there is yesterdays runner. I am now off to choose which one to work on today. Could be green, could be red, or even the brown tones one?
ABOVE: Stew has been taking these for his knee pain (plus Tramadol when needed), so this morning I decided to take some, to see if it helps with my shoulder pain?

As for throttling the DH came close today but for his sake he backed off. I sprained my wrist a few weeks ago and was hoping to get an afghan finished for a bridal shower gift on Sunday. Not happening. I hate these party things but the bride is a lovely girl and her mum is a close friend so I am going. I have avoided them for 40 years until this weekend.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I missed the bit about throttling anyone. There is one lass at work here that I could happily throttle. No idea about routines or tasks that must be done. Talk the hind leg off a donkey. And one customer who just doesn't get it and likes to find ways to make my life even more difficult. But that's the nature of business, right? xx Colleen.
ReplyDeleteThere's always those eh? I want to throttle someone or other fairly often. And it's not STEW. Stew I just think about stabbing in the chest 16 times, 'sometimes'. lol
DeleteLovely runners again today Chris
ReplyDeleteLove the fact there’s never two the same .
I so envy artistic talents ..
Sorry didn’t reply when you answered the other day when I asked about families.
It’s a general saying we’ve picked up here ,how’re all the families ?, when we’re at home it’s how are the Whanau? .,
.
Honestly I didn’t expect you to say about those you see and those you don’t etc,
It was just a passing comment and truly none of us have a perfect family/ life and people and things are all mixed up, Us included here,π―
I totally enjoy you sharing your blog with us as I’ve said many times,
The pics of family ,places and things of interest really are appreciated by me.
Been a huge week for us older grey haired ones hereπΊπΏπ₯ so off for an early night watching Rugby with home made fish n chips done in air fryer
Hope you all have a good weekend ,it’s a long one here,so that’s a bonus π️
Cheers π₯
I know you didn't expect all that info, but it was a chance for me to clarify a few things. I get asked (quite often), very personal questions, that I tend to ignore. But it's sometimes good to clear the air so to speak. I share what I want to share, and other stuff, not at all.
Deleteπ₯°π―π₯π
