ANOTHER MORNING TEA

The regular Thursday morning tea is on in the Village Lounge this morning, so I shall attend.

I really enjoy catching up with those that attend regularly.

After that, I'll come home and finish those last two Scrappy Dolls, then move on to making some 'Scrappy Coasters'.  I'm determined to start using up some of my scraps.

I have at least a dozen boxes FULL of scraps.  It's crazy how much I have in fact.  I clearly never throw anything out.

It's 'pub night' this evening, so I shall visit the kids before joining Stew.  We've not seen them in a couple of weeks.  Time to catch up.

ABOVE:  Time to fish this out of the linen cupboard... my electric throw.  OMG, it is so lovely.  I have used it for two nights already.  No bitching about being cold from me.  Sorry other people if you are cold.

ONWARD...

ABOVE:  Just finished these last two (for now).

Loving them.

Now I have to put me face on and go to morning tea.

12 noon.   Morning tea with the regulars was very nice.  We always manage to find something to yak about.  Sometimes it's just village gossip, which can be rather 'interesting'.  Nothing remains secret around here!

Home, and I've already had my lunch.  Lacy called in and helped me eat it as well.

She came to pick up a few things.

ABOVE:  It is very cold today, and that silly bitch is in shorts!  She reckons she doesn't feel the cold on her legs.  Crazy tart.

She tried sneaking Coco out the door when she left... I wasn't having any of that.  Coco on the other hand would have gone willingly... traitorous little hussy.

And that is a HUGE tin of dog food in her pocket... Coco can't eat it, where as Lacy's cats can.

Right, back to myself again.  I'm having a little break before I start making coasters.  Will get to that later on this afternoon.

A good way to use up scraps and make quilts, without having to do quilt stitches thru the layers, is foundation piecing.

You sew the scraps to squares of muslin or flannel, and then sew the squares together.

You can use any type of backing fabric. You can tie or do loose stitching.

It would give you a totally different item and use up loads of scraps. And I think it would be a fun outlet for you creatively.
