SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

I'm up earlier than 'normal' today, as we have a Private Viewing at morning tea time today.

There really isn't much I need to do, having done a bigger clean yesterday with Lacy.

But I do want to put some polish on the furniture, I've not done that in ages.

I'm thinking of putting some cookies in the oven, so they are ready at viewing time.  I'll see how I go later on.

Now, as I mentioned last night, I made another Square Table Topper yesterday afternoon.

It is slightly different from the others, let's see if you can pick it?

ABOVE:  It will have a black border once it's finished.

And now, I'm off to start my day, and do that polishing.

9 am, and the house is ready.  All the wooden furniture is gleaming.  Something I had put off doing for so long, because I knew moving slippery furniture would not be good.
But, as we now have f-ing time again, it can be done.  I must admit, I do rather like the furniture polished.

I have a batch of cookies ready to go in the oven in about half an hour as well....

11.35 am:  And the viewing is over.  I can't think what else I could have done to present this home any better.  It was bang on.
So, it is either what they want... or not.
They spent a very long time in the house, so that's a positive.  BUT NO GUARANTEE.

Meanwhile, according to our Agent,  there is  a family who are probably going to make a conditional offer next week, but they have a home to sell as well.  Typical.  They are the ones who came back for their 3rd viewing on the weekend.

THIS PROCESS IS SO DAMN STRESSFUL!!!!!!

Both Stew and I are just so eager to start the next chapter of our lives, and being in LIMBO is the goddam PITS.

I just ate a cookie.  Might have another one yet.
One of the viewers had a cookie too... I hope they remember it, as they look at the other houses they have lined up to view today.

1.47 pm:  Well... those people from this morning came back for a second viewing just after lunch.  They stayed another really good length of time, and took ALL THE COOKIES!  (I had put them in a container, and left a note saying take them home to their kids.)

Don't worry Stew, I kept one out for you.

It is always promising when people come back for another viewing....😊.

I just got a text from our Agent, passing on the viewers thanks for the cookies. Aww that's nice.

Because I was super stressed out and tired, I have done NOTHING this afternoon!
And yes, that Square Table Topper does not have the black corner stones.... concentric squares is correct DOGSTARS.

10...9...8...7...6...  THUNDER!  Yaaa, I don't have to water the gardens this evening.  It's been threatening to rain this past hour or so.  It's finally arrived.

9.25 pm:  *sigh*.  No word from the Estate Agent this evening, I was kinda expecting it.  Just goes to show you shouldn't get your hopes up.  Dumb.
Staying up to watch Coronation Street, then I'm off to bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.

Runner has no black corner stones in each round like your others.
Love the new photo of you and Stew on the top righthand side of the blog, and the updated details underneath. You're living your best life, go you and Stew!

At least you are getting to enjoy your pool and are not in temporary housing with everything in storage. You seem to be handling the months well and living a pretty normal life.

    1. We could end up in temporary housing yet... if we sell and can't find what we are looking for! And just as well you can't see inside my head... I'm pretty damn depressed, just hanging on really.

Hang in there dear Chris. Go and do something or catch up with someone who makes you think of something other than the house. 🫂

  10. The economic climate in NZ is pretty grim.... your home is a lovely home and if the country was in a better economic position I am sure you would have sold by now but "we" are all wondering if we can afford the mortgage + put food on the table. But I doubt we would be in a different position if we had the alternative coalition government... I doubt they have the ability to do any better than our current lot.
