SATURDAY IN AUSTRALIA

Today?

Rowena, Maxine and Lorraine's son Alan will be coming into the hospital to visit.  There's probably more coming in, like little grandchildren, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Rowena will have all my belongings from the Air BnB in her car for me.

Why?

Because at some point today she will be dropping me back to the IBIS BRISBANE HOTEL, so that I can catch my morning flight back home on Sunday.

I want to be out there tonight so that no one has to get up at an ungodly hour to get me to the airport on time.

In the meantime, I shall get to spend as much time as I can with my sister.  

I fully intend coming back as soon as I'm able.  Probably in a week.

ABOVE: Talk about a bounce back!  She was so much better yesterday, and by last night she was sparking on all fours.  On her computer, fossicking around in the room etc.  We are all so relieved.

I am bone tired.  Virtually NO sleep last night. I was mega uncomfortable, and the person in the bed beside us had alarms going off all night long. Lots of people rushing into the room to stabilize him, bla bla bla. I am hoping to get a decent night's sleep at the hotel tonight.

ABOVE: I have never made so many cups of tea and coffee in a day... only to tip them out after she's had two sips. I just made that one for her, only for her to go to sleep without touching it. She asked for it! 🤣😅😂  oh well... I'll just zap it in the microwave in half an hour.  Seems I have my uses. She's a right hard case is my sister.

ABOVE: Everyone came to visit! We are now down by Starbucks ... in the hospital,  just hanging out. 

It won't be long before I head off to the Ibis Hotel. Then I can lie ON A BED, and just relax for a while.

3.44 pm, and I am now safely ensconced at the hotel by the airport.

It is GORGEOUS compared to Last Friday night's dismal dive of a place.

I  have a view of the city, and (I think),  a traffic control tower.

I am now going to, as I said earlier, just lie on the bed and do nothing for a while.  I'm so tired!

5.34 pm:  I couldn't sleep, so went down to the restaurant for food.  Back to my room, and now I'm going to have a shower, get in me nightie and lie in bed and watch some TV.
