There is a LONG story behind the time 11.11 am/pm for me.
That time always makes me think of my brother Vern, who died 22 years ago. Whenever I see that time on my phone or a clock, I feel like Vern is 'with me'.
I know, it's weird.
Anyway... things have been very 'rocky' the past few days but what has helped me tremendously is 11.11.
I have seen that time on my phone and clock at least once every day! And I can assure you, I'm not clock watching! It just happens.
So, I am positive my brother is watching over me. That certainly helps me get through these rough times.
Just like seeing butterflies makes me feel like my Mum's spirit is around me too.
Do you ever have that sort of thing happen to you? Does it help you, or freak you out?
DOGSTARS: you asked how my jig saw puzzle was coming along yesterday.
ABOVE: It's kinda scary how much there is to go! But, I'm just plodding away at it, most days I am happy to have found 5-10 pieces. Some days I only find 2 or 3!
BTW: all the pieces inside the Outside Edges are in, more or less, the right place.
But I am enjoying it very much. It is certainly the hardest puzzle I have ever done.
My main job today is to get all the washing and housework up to date, then lay out everything we need to take with us tomorrow.
I'm sure I will overpack, who doesn't?
Catch ya later.
10.55 am: So. I'm getting clothes out to pack.
I see my birthday quite often on the clock ( 2:18 ). It will be so nice for you to get away for awhile. Your country is so beautiful. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteWhen I find a penny or a feather I believe it is from my mother who died when I was 18 years old.
ReplyDeleteYep. Butterflies are dad for sure... ysually show up when youneed a reminder.. i also smell my nana's powder/perfume in the house sometimes. Thats weird cos it can't be from someone on the street if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are road tripping overpacking is fine, it is harder when you are taking a plane & then are subject to weight restrictions & number of bags etc :-).
ReplyDeleteThe little signs from your Mum & Brother must be a nice comfort for you.
Certain things do trigger memories of ones who have passed, just little things. Pack some warm clothes because it's bloody cold!! A high of 11 degrees here today- bring back summer π
ReplyDeleteYES!!! Stirrup tights, loved them especially under boots, what a brilliant idea, you Madam, are a genius :-)
ReplyDeleteStirrup tights! I knew there was a proper name for them. lol
DeleteLol stirrup pants. I loved them in the mid to late 80’s with a baggy shirt over the top
ReplyDeleteHa, there’s a memory with stirrup pants. Maybe you’ll start an 80s fashion comeback? I’m a shorty, so if tights are regular length I never have a gap π. Liz
ReplyDeleteYes I see 11:11 a lot, especially over the last few years. I don't know why though but sometimes I make a wish on it
ReplyDeleteWhen I wore tights I did the elastic thing to all of them! Especially good when wearing boots etc. Instead of elastic though I used strips of stretchy material as it was softer under my foot.
ReplyDeleteIt's feathers for my mum. She always seems to know the right time to send them.
ReplyDeleteLove your stirrup idea π
Haha used to have addidas trackies with a stirrup. Have a glorious weekend. Safe travels ❤️
