Things go in three's right?
Yesterday afternoon I was feeling quite down. Just sad, and tired of all the stress around me/us.
Then three things happened:
It took us a while to decipher it, but I think we got it right.
It really cheered me up.
ABOVE: Then Stew took out the rubbish, and saw this on our driveway. He's pretty sure it was done by a young girl who was admiring the tree with her Mum and little sister late in the afternoon.
How sweet is that?
ABOVE: And then... the best thing. Someone got the 'BE KIND' message and did the right thing. So thankful, it means my stress levels can settle down a bit!
Now today? As I'm feeling much happier, I might get off me butt and go for a walk, providing it's not hot. Rain would be excellent! *smiles*
Then I will do some sewing, get back into my happy place.
ABOVE: Oh and before I forget, I've been sent this picture about 6-7 times already!!!
One person even asked me if Stew was safe from me knitting needles? LOL ... don't tempt me!
ONWARD...
9.55 am: and as it was cloudy at 9 am, Brylee and I went a walking:
ABOVE: Even though the sun did come out a lot, we had a really nice cool wind to keep me from overheating.
That cute cat came running out to beg for loves, so we just had to.
You're not supposed to touch other animals, so we washed our hands with hand sanitiser from my 'walking bag' after giving it a pat.
Now home and contemplating my next move. Might be something to eat then sewing.
She did well! They came out just fine, and she iced them even.
She doesn't get full points for the icing... but they will still taste OK I'm sure. *smiles*
ABOVE: I was proud of how she set up the bench before starting... all her ingredients lined up and ready to go. AND she left the kitchen perfectly clean and tidy after too.
I must be a good teacher. lol
I got some sewing done this afternoon, which was neat.
Then I made a lovely dinner of chicken steaks, potato pom poms and a lettuce salad, with beetroot and asparagus on the side.
And now... I'm watching Coronation Street before heading off to bed.
HAHA - I was going to send you that photo too! Or maybe I did, I don't remember. Glad you are getting good feedback on the tree!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely neighbourhood you have chosen, so lucky to live amongst these people! 💕
ReplyDeleteMorning that's a beautiful gesture from both parties sometimes something little goes a long way. Another cracking day here off to the supermarket shortly. George's Mum.
ReplyDeleteThat has been one of the hardest things for me. Normally I have two (neighbor’s) Goldens with me every workday while their owner is at work. She is now working from home. We are in quarantine. No dogs. Really miss them.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are getting such positive feedback about your tree. You are making people happy :-).
ReplyDeleteGlad the situation that was stressing you has been resolved for now, long may it k=last - a little kindness goes a long way.
I'm loving the tree, I felt quite emotional reading the notes and message you were left, it's a lovely thing you are doing and fun in the process too.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that this message shows,I think maybe they don't from my phone xx Well done one the walk
Well done Brylee :-).
ReplyDeleteAww ... love the note and the pavement art/message. It's lovely to see so much enjoyment from your tree. Well done to you and Brylee for heading out on a walk. Also, great work Brylee on the muffins ... and iced in your favourite colour Chris - that must score some bonus points!

Yes Brylee is left handed.
DeleteYou are certainly cheering up the neighbors. Keep up the good work. Good to see you baking lessons are going well. Yesterday was meh for me as well. Today was adventures in grocery shopping covide-19 edition #5. Each week seems more complicated than the next. Glad that's done for now. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best way, put all the ingredients out. I've even measured them out before hand if it was a new recipe.
