Yesterday afternoon I had a go at drawing our new home's floorplan from memory.
I THINK I've got it semi-right:
It will be interesting to see how accurate I am once we actually get into the house for longer than half an hour. The proportions are all wrong too no doubt.
ABOVE: Stew took to our old letterbox with a hacksaw, chisel and hammer, and got the number 8 off it. Now we can use it at the new house... OH I must show you the new number that will be mounted on a wooden pole beside the letterbox:
ABOVE: We have never had a number 5 before. Apparently you let it rust up to the degree you want, then spray it with polyurethane and it stays 'that' rusted. Awesome.
Moving on... today we are picking Keera up and bringing her out here, so that Lacy can visit with her. This will (all going well), become a regular bi-monthly arrangement.
Stew has a school reunion in Hamilton at the same time, so he will have a lovely afternoon too.
This arrangement will work out even better once we are living in Hamilton.
As for this morning? I'm gunna lie here in bed and do nothing for as long as possible! Then I'll get up and do some housework.
ONWARD...
ABOVE: So we went into Hamilton and picked up these two. Had a nice lunch at The Base before coming home... AFTER doing a
Lacy and Keera are now doing colouring in, stickers and girly stuff together.
ABOVE: Oh yeah, they are eating donuts too.
Everyone is happy as.
SISTERS...
and a dog who wanted to be in on the hugs.
8.08 pm: Everyone is back where they belong, and we have finished dinner. I finally finished off all the odds 'n' ends in the freezer. Tonight we had some chicken steaks, crumbed squid rings and beef patties! With spaghetti! It was a rather 'silly bugger' dinner, but bloody nice.
Now I just have to get all the frozen veges finished off and I'll be happy.
Still got plenty of time to do that, so not worried.
Time to sign off for the day. Catch ya tomorrow.
Wow that house is fantastic. I love the studio. So jealous lol. And a sunroom. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! It would be fun to move houses, seems like a fun adventure! I quite like the new house. I can't believe it comes with a ready made sewing room!
ReplyDeleteThe house plan looks great, a practical plan especially with the different areas that suit your lifestyle and sewing. Is it just you and stew moving or are Brylee and Griffin moving with you? Have a great day! I cannot imagine you doing nothing.

At this point only Brylee is moving with us. She will be going flatting with a girlfriend in a few months, then it truly will be just Stew and Me!
DeleteSo exciting! Like 6 spaces for craft rooms haha
DeleteHaha Chris I cannot imagine you and Stew by yourselves! I hope it does work out that way. The girls look very happy, Keera is growing up fast. Beautiful happy girl.
