Well my blood test results came in.
I was FULLY EXPECTING my Hba1c numbers to be skyrocketing, having gone of Trulicity for 3 weeks, and eating far too many jelly beans and other crap.
So can you imagine my COMPLETE and utter SHOCK to find my Hba1c number was 47!
FOURTY SEVEN! It has not been that low in a decade.
The highest it got to a year ago was 121, so clearly the Trulicity has been more than doing it's job.
I'm defo staying on it now. AND the medications Leo gave me for avoiding the chronic constipation seems to be working JUST FINE as well.
OMG my head is still spinning over that number! 47 is PRE-DIABETIC. So 'technically' I don't have diabetes. But of course ... I know I still do. It just means it's totally under control now.
How bloody wonderful is that?
My 'bad' cholesterol is up a bit, so I shall do my homework on that, and try and get it down as well.
Moving on. Coco is getting groomed late this afternoon, which will probably mean Stew has to walk up to the pub tonight.
I will still join him after visiting the kids.
As for the rest of the day... MEH. I dunno yet.
ONWARD...
I've had a very pleasant morning.
I went for a walk along the river bank, then joined the regulars for Thursday morning tea in the community lounge.
Lots of lovely chatting.
I grabbed a book to read from our library, and came home.
I am now cooking my lunch, and I'll probably do bugger all after that for a while.
My lower back is causing me some grief, so I might just take some pain killers to settle that down a bit. Not sure why it's so niggly right now... but the walking might be to blame? Dunno. Not gunna stop walking though.
ABOVE: While I love the views around the lake, this view of our river isn't too shabby either. Stunning autumn colours.

No crabby quarters in the programme?
ReplyDeleteBig congratulations on the blood results. You're doing great
That is exactly why Trulicity is great... imagine the result if you had been on it the entire time (you said you stopped three weeks prior). As you know HbA1c is an average over a few months. That's a fantastic result and definitely worth continuing with!
ReplyDeleteWoo- hoot! PRE-DIABETIC is fantastic news.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on that reading.
ReplyDeleteChris fantastic blood results! Go you.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news, well done!
ReplyDeleteTrulicity and Ozempic both for diabetes control do stay in your system for about 5 weeks after stopping them so the good result as you know of course was still from the injection, well done...as diabetes causes so much inflammation in the body it is so good to have these medications to reduce that...Peta
