THE NEW CABINET

 

Well, it took a couple of days, but I finally have some photos of the new cabinet, and it's position in the lounge.

ABOVE: Our original Britto Cabinet went from the right hand corner of the lounge, to the left.

ABOVE: Then the new cabinet went to the right instead.  And YES, that is Coco photo bombing.

ABOVE: Cabinet # 1, now not so chokka block!

ABOVE: Cabinet # 2, not crammed full, and in fact we have room for more Britto now!  NOT that we actually need more, but hell... a new piece might come in that we just love.  

ABOVE: Close ups of the new cabinet.  It used to belong to people from South Africa, who brought it with them to New Zealand, many, many years ago.  This cabinet has sat in Glen's garage for 15 years!   We just love it.  

It is very dry, so I've been putting furniture oil/polish on it every day, it just sucks it up.  

ABOVE: Dante FINALLY got a haircut!  He usually looks like a hedgehog.  This style is very 'out there' for him.  I was a bit shocked at first, but it grew on me.  He loves it, and that is the main thing.

ABOVE: And, because brother was tweaking his hair and getting a photo taken, Miss Lily had to as well.  Of course.  😂😉😊

Right, back to the present.

Today I will be working on a table runner that's been waiting to be finished for a few weeks.

11.51.  I'm bright red in the face.

Cos I went here again:

ABOVE:  Another walk around the lake, and today it wasn't foggy. It was bloody hot and I was in a sweatshirt.

I sweated.

HEAPS.

ABOVE: But, it was just so lovely.  I smiled at lots of other walkers, and got lots of smiles back.  It's so much nicer than other walks I do, as there's just so many more people to smile at.

ABOVE:  I did the full loop on the Orbiter, that's a nice view over Hamilton at the top of Newcastle Road.  Hospital to the right, and city to the left (in the distance).

It is an hour and a  half to do the full loop, with the lake being slap bang in the middle of the loop.

ABOVE:  Today's stats... seems my walking app had a glitch, cos I sure in hell can't walk on water!  And the distance is all wrong as well.  Oh well, at least I know I did it. lol

7.09 pm.

I had the third Glazing company rep call in this afternoon.  So now we have two quotes and one pending.  It is not looking too bad number wise.  It might even be a 'go'.

Stew arrived home just before 6 pm and we immediately went down to the pool.  I did some laps and Stew did some leg exercises, then we had a quick soak in the hot tub, followed by a shower.  

We are now home, and looking forward to a couple of hours relaxing.
