Lacy has said she will come over today to do my vacuuming.
Let's see how that goes eh?
I hope she does come over, as I'd like a hand to move a couple of the garden pots as well. One is bugging me.
And obviously, we can't have that.
I had thought about going to Cambridge for mosaics, but as I've not got a project on the go right now, I'll give it a miss I think.
At some point, I do want to get some of the native bird pre-cuts, and put them on my big piece of perspex.
Until Lacy arrives, I have a project on the go in the sewing room, so I'll work on that.
Catch ya later.
11.15 am, and Lacy did indeed come over.
She vacuumed the house, helped move a couple of garden pots, put cushions up in the attic, then we went to Chartwell Square for morning tea.
Very nice it was too.
Now she's left, and I'm about to head into the sewing room.
And it's another stinking hot day out there.
It's gorgeous, and just finished in time for our Village Market on Saturday. Phew. I never thought I'd get it done.
ABOVE: Coco and I went for a walk before Stew gets home. It was lovely down by the river. I saw one of our neighbours sitting in her lounger enjoying the river view. I said hello... and we got talking.
She was lonely, so I hauled myself and Coco up the slope and gave her a hug.
She was lovely to yak to, and I've promised her I'll pop in now and then for a catch up.
After leaving 'A', we next bumped into 'V', who's that neighbour who used to literally run away from me! She's now super friendly, and we ended up having a nice natter as well. She was off to Fish 'n' Chips night at the Community Centre.
Stew is a bit late home tonight, it's 4.50 pm, he's usually home by 4.30 ish. I suppose he'll turn up when he gets here. lol
9.16 pm, just home from the pub, where some absolute hilarity ensued. I will tell you all about it tomorrow.
For now, we are back to playing Darby and Joan, popped up in our lounge chairs, watching the telly.
Then off to bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.

Yes "she" will lol 😆

Do you still have to fix up the bee mosaic?
ReplyDeleteVacuuming is a chore and a half, our mum would make us lift everything up including chairs couch and beds.
I did not like vacuum day.
Lacy you are great help we have my nephew here helping mum in garden he is so helpful too and strong..mum needed some blocks under end of her bed to help elevate bed and ease water retention he lifted it like it was a slice of bread. Oh to have strength and power in body again.

ReplyDeleteThe runner is so lovely....what a great weight loss you have managed, you must have really cut down...what do you eat to get such a great loss? Peta
ReplyDeleteI love it when the grandchildren come to help with the heavy stuff. Just like Lacey! You can tell them what you want them to do, change your mind and they don't take offence. And they're young and supple. Can get into spaces and lift weights that I can't
