THIS WAY, OR THAT WAY?

Yesterday I bought 4 Native Bird mosaics, and ordered a fifth one.

ABOVE: That is the one I am waiting on.

In the meantime, I have a decision to make.

Do I place them on the perspex....

ABOVE:  Vertically, and only have 4 birds on it, or...

ABOVE: Horizontally, and fit the owl on it as well?

I have to consider if I want to add branches/ more leaves/ flowers?  If I do, then vertically with only 4 birds would work.

Luckily I have time to think about it, cos clearly, Coco was no help at all.  She didn't give a shit.

ABOVE:  I managed to add the Owl to the horizontal image!  AND also tweak the vertical, so now there's three options.  What are we thinking???  I know which one I totally prefer, I wonder if you will be thinking the same. 😊😉
Oh and btw, the birds are sitting on cardboard right now... they do not have that colour background.

The other consideration is, where am I going to hang it?  Outside somewhere, but right now, I'm not sure where.

Thinking about it right now, I'm going to make a banner with my sewing room 'name' on it. I've been meaning to for a while.

CRABBY QUARTERS, in colourful lettering.

Yeah, that is going to be my next at home project.  I'll be doing it with wooden lettering, painted brightly.

That will be fun.

And with that in mind, I'm off to get said letters, and pots of paint.  Little pots of paint.  😂😏

ABOVE: Before I go, what do you think of these?  I also bought them from the mosaic supplier yesterday.  I am totally in love with them.  I might incorporate them into my CRABBY QUARTERS banner somehow.

Catch ya later.

10.10 am, and I'm already knackered!
I've spent two solid hours doing housework, and tweaking shit.

ABOVE:  My aim is to free up a bit of space in the garage (aka Crabby Quarters), so that over summer Steve can put an attic ladder in.  That will give us easier access to the storage space above the house/garage.
And any space I can create/access is a huge bonus.
So, the smaller fridge freezer is going.
DON'T WORRY STEW, I found room for everything that was in it.
And now I'm taking a little break, before I head down to Spotlight for the wooden lettering.
NOTE TO SELF:  Don't edit comments with ya left hand... I managed to hit DELETE instead of PUBLISH... Sorry LYNDA.

12.45 pm:  I have bought me letters, except a 'B', I'll have to order that one in.
Painting them will have to wait, I couldn't be arsed going to Mitre 10 right now.
I've just had my lunch, and about to put me feet up for a little while and watch something on Netflix.
Anyone else having trouble leaving comments on Facebook today?  The only way I could was by using my phone.  Frustrating.
But meh, sometimes there are glitches.
Looking forward to a quiet evening.
The house smells like wet dog, I bathed Coco in the shower.  She's not happy with me.
Catch ya tomorrow.

Definitely horizontal. Could you get some brown tiles to continue the branch from owl through to the white bird so it looks like they are all on one branch?

  4. Horizontal but if you have nowhere for it that way, then vertical with them in a row. Not keen on the offset one.

  5. I think it depends where you want to hang it. I like the offset vertical layout. Could you use your colourful beads to make your sewing roombanner?

Horizontal with 4. I would do something separate with the owl one

    1. I agree about only using 4, but still not 100% committed to vertical or horizontal right now.

  7. I love the little mosaic dots. They are darling.
The bird mosaic will totally depend on where you put it outside.
You could even make 5 stepping stones.

Figure out where you are hanging it first.

And it's an unpleasant task. MAke it as pleasant as possible. Thanks to Jethro for the random upper case letters.

I prefer the horizontal with 4….
Maybe if space to hang is going to be an issue make it 3 and use the owl with the other…. 🤔

I prefer the vertical but looks like that is not the favourite with your readers. But agree that it depends on where you are going to put it. I just think that the vertical would look great on a wall. Could you place it near the outside cupboard?

Could the mosaics in either the horizontal or vertical way block out the round tv/cable thing outside your kitchen window? That might be too busy with the fountain right there. Ky Girl

I was trying to figure out the extra garage refrigerator for two people also.

You said small garage refrigerator. Does that mean there is a big garage refrigerator too?

If you have a refrigerator in the house and a freezer in the garage, for two people, totally understand. I do too.

    1. We have a full fridge in the kitchen, a full freezer in the garage, and we HAD a small fridge/freezer in the garage as well for all the drinks and ice. I am getting rid of it, as we simply don't need it.

Good for you, that will clear up lots of space. Save electric.
