First up for today is a walk for me. Probably just around the village, as my fitness is shot right now.
When I get home it will be time to actually do some sewing. I will work on that round table topper today, all going well I SHOULD get it finished today.
Then I can start on a runner similar to these:
ABOVE: I really enjoyed making these ones, and they sold very well. So why not make some more for the summer markets.
You can call me 'The Parking Police', cos when I'm out walking around our village, I'm constantly looking for illegally parked cars.
ALL. THE. TIME. Stew has told me to 'get over it' in relation to the fact that we got kicked out of 'visitor parking' due to neighbours complaints.
And my car is banished to the far car park.
On my walk today, what do I see:
I am constantly seeing people who live here parked in Visitor Parking spots. It does my bloody head in. Seems others can do what they like, but we can't.
I literally FUME every day over this.
And I know there is NOTHING I can do about it.
I know I have to GET OVER IT, or it will cloud my experience living here, but still. It rankles, and probably will for some time.
It was cold and blustery out there today, so I didn't stay out too long at all.
But it was nice to be out all the same.
Sorry for bitching, I'll try not to do it again.
3.45 pm, and I've done a wee bit of sewing, but not much. I've got a really awful headache, had it since yesterday in fact.
My left shoulder is killing me, and I've got a crook in me neck as well. Must have slept wrong.
I hope it settles down soon.
It's WEIGH DAY, and JAB DAY. Oh yaaa. I think I'll have a very small loss this week, just thinking back to my meals this week. Not all stellar! I struggle with portions ... and tend to make too much. Stew hasn't minded my left overs though. 😉😋
7.31 pm, just home from Weight Watchers. This week I lost 1.4 kgs again, same as last week. So in three weeks I've lost 7.5 kgs. Not bad eh.
Once home, Stew jabbed me and... didn't feel a thing! Again, so relieved.
Excellent end to the day.
Catch ya tomorrow.
I like the idea of your having a Sale table at the market. Everyone likes a deal. Good luck. Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteOh those runners are nice.
ReplyDeleteWe’re going to be 29 today last night was a no blanket slept on top of bed night!
That's an odd place for Visitors Parking. Does that car belong to a permanent resident who lives in that house or is someone visiting them? Just curious. Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteIt belongs to a permanent resident, who's home is off to the left. They could have parked in their own driveway, but chose not to today for some reason.
DeleteHmmm, that is odd. And frustrating. Ky Girl
DeleteI think you two should buy a motorhome or caravan so that you can get out of the village whenever you are free (especially once Stew retires). There is a whole, beautiful country out there and you wouldn't have to worry about the neighbours so much. We are away all of the time and it's magic. Yes, there is the upfront cost of the motorhome (new or second hand, lots of choice) but it opens up a whole new world. I'm actually serious about this by the way... and you can take your dog!
ReplyDeleteI love that idea, but Stew isn't that keen.
DeleteJust go back to parking in the visitors' parking area. If they say anything just say "oh, well with all the other cars doing it, I thought it was ok". Play dumb. xx Colleen
ReplyDeleteMove on Chris. I’m with Stew. Go and get a chill pill from the doctors. Was happy to read about the tui, what happy news. Marie Melbourne
ReplyDeleteThat would bother me, too.
ReplyDeleteHi, that is a silly place for "guest parking" anyway right outside someone's lounge window no wonder they notice and complain....I am guessing parking is at a premium in the village, and people are expected to use their garages to park...lol...a friend of mine also lives in a body corporate with lovely villas, and they have exactly the same problems as you.. my friend has a full garage, just like you...lol...Peta
ReplyDeleteYour blog, bitch if you want to.
ReplyDeleteBut it would bother me too.
Good luck with weigh in.
I can understand your tension over parking. I got new glasses today bifocal and it's taking me ages to get use to them and I have a thumping head ache too.
ReplyDeleteHell, I can imagine how you're fuming with that parking situation. At least you can vent on your blog!!! Hope it helps. I'd be out there power walking ('power' 😂 don't do that) kicking stones and muttering under my breath lol
ReplyDeleteKeep bitching cos we want to know all about the things that go on in these places, especially if people are considering moving to one
ReplyDeleteThis is very true. People really need to understand before they move into an area with firm rules.
DeleteOnce someone or a family is seen as a problem, neighbors watch like a hawk for further infractions.
The people often feel picked on.
The neighbors are very annoyed that they have to watch.
It is not good.
Fantastic weight loss Chris. You are doing fabulously 👏👏👏. Yeah I don’t do ‘get over it’ very well when I can blatantly see that what I have been told not to do isn’t being ‘enforced’ for everyone but for the sake of a peaceful life I try to unsee what is driving me crazy lol
ReplyDeleteI'd be annoyed as heck too! Well done on the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! The weight is melting off!!!! Well done 🤩🤩
ReplyDeleteI get the frustration you have over the 'parking situation'. There are always the 'Karens' who make the biggest stink about all their neighbors, neighbors yards, neighbors sprinklers, neighbors car parking, neighbors at pools, clubhouses, etc. etc. etc. and then break the rules themselves, because "they are entitled b******". So yeah, obviously it would also DRIVE ME NUTS neighbor from hell doing what YOU couldn't do... Argghhh
ReplyDeleteInconsiderate people are annoying. It is hard enough to live among so many when one or two don't show common courtesy. It is a shame there isn't adequate parking. You are just knocking off that weight!!! Great job.
