Today's weather is supposed to be wet, maybe not quite as bad as yesterday, but still shitty. Right now though, it's fine! Not what we were expecting.
Stew and I will concentrate on ticking off a few more jobs on the list, inside.
There's a few, as you can imagine.
I would also like to go out to find a chair for the bathroom. I'd thought of making a lidded box type thing, with a cushion on top. But I think a nice chair would look better.
We will also hunt around for a shower caddy, vanity handles and a hand towel holder. All in black.
But that will be after lunch, as we have family visiting us this morning.
So, we have plenty to keep us busy and occupied for now.
Stew is off at the supermarket, and I've already done a couple of jobs that were annoying me. Just tweaking jobs really. But you all know how I am with 'everything has to be in the right place' eh? 😂😉 1.50 pm. We are fine. Out and about. Not found anything we are looking for yet, dammit.
ABOVE: We had a lovely visit with these gorgeous grandkids today. Thanks Andrew for bringing them over. Oh, plus the donuts! Yummy. I changed the 'backdrop' for the photo... nice eh?
ABOVE: Stew is like... 'Must keep the rain off me glasses'. There's been heaps of rain this afternoon so far. We have just come home for a late lunch (2.30 pm), before going back out.
4.30 pm. We've been and visited Steve, Bex and kids, then off to find a chair for the bathroom. We found one after looking bloody ages. It will arrive towards the end of the coming week.
Then we found two shower caddies at Bunnings, just got them home and hate them in the shower. So Stew is returning them right now, and then he's going to Mitre 10, where we saw another one that will hopefully work better.
And what have we done on the 'to do' list inside the house today?
NOTHING. A big FAT NOTHING!
Maybe tomorrow will be a more productive day.
ABOVE: Tonight was the very last time we will have to use the pool complex for our daily showers. Such a relief. It was lovely to have a swim, and then a soak in the hot tub before coming home again. Now, his nibs is watching the rugby, and I'm going to watch something useless on the telly or computer.
Catch ya tomorrow.
It's raining here, too. Even got a bit of hail!
ReplyDeleteWinter inside days can be satisfying. Enjoy. Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how I prioritize my odd jobs - whatever is really bugging me is that day’s priority.

One day I hope to wake up to “today I have booked in to water aerobics/pilates/flower arranging (and not a freaking trip to the hospital😳) and not buying more chairs, this is my less is more kicking in. Can you please start enjoying the village which was the purpose of you moving I think? A class is one hour out of your day, so no “I’m too busy”. Marie, Melbourne
ReplyDeleteSheesh aggressive much, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt about Chris over the years
ReplyDelete“Ducks in a row” until she’s settled, but there’s been walks, seeing friends, swims already in the pool.
Moving and sorting doesn’t do itself.
Emily is such a pretty girl. Great pics of the kids. Laurie
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. Those kids look smiley and growing up very cute
ReplyDeleteVery cute kids! And what a great father!

That's a lot of rain. We also had quite the downpour today.
ReplyDeleteNo rain here today YET!!! Black as inside of a cow out there now!!! Lovely to c the kids nice of Andrew to include you in the visits must make it different for him.
ReplyDeleteYou have actually been... productive. Planning and shopping IS work, too. You have been running at full speed for months. It's okay to slow down, or take a "weekend" off.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you found the cabinet handles you need. We had to get extra wide handles for the motorhome drawers and ended buying them online at NZ Hardware. They have a massive range and should have what you need. How wonderful having your own shower again, the luxury :)
ReplyDeleteActually, correction. We got our handles from Handles Plus in East Tamaki in Auckland.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of a chair with storage - I wonder if you could buy (or make) a bench outside to hold those LONG rakes. Instead of wrapping in a tarp on the side of the house. It would be cute, functional, and shorter than the fence! If the neighbors object just decorate it with naked sculptures... HAHA
