Remember this painting:
ABOVE: While I LOVE it, there is something I want to change about it.
ABOVE: This is where is hangs. Keep that in mind...
Because I want to paint the black border, and change it to a lighter colour.
Here are the options:
There's 6 options. Now... look at the lounge and what's in it, and of course; the actual PAINTING ... and give me your opinion on what colour I should paint it.
While you do that, I'm gunna get the washing done. Then I might strip more damn wall paper!
ABOVE: The three girls having a blast with Lacy's little tablet.
So neat seeing them all together, enjoying themselves.
Stew's opinion on the painting is... keep more of the black and just do the very outer edge in a colour:
ABOVE: He's got a point.
OH... we have decided to put it by the front door now!
Yep, it's a process. I am always changing my mind.
Since lunch, we've been out to Mitre 10, then Early Settler looking for 3 antique brass knobs for the Credenza. It's never had any, and it's a right shit to open sometimes.
So, found some and ordered them. Now we just have to wait a couple of weeks for them to arrive.
While in Early Settler, we spotted some rather funky coffee tables. I'm replacing our little nest of coffee tables.
But considering they are 25 years old, not bad.
Got a pounding headache.
Morning Team Harvey I choose the light blue but if it was mine I would leave it black because the wall is a light colour 💙
ReplyDeleteThe lighter blue to balance with the shell print/painting on the adjacent wall.
ReplyDeleteWhy not a lighter grey option? That would still tie in with the painting. I don't like the coloured options as they don't fit the theme of the painting which is kind of dark.
ReplyDeleteLighter blue.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely white.
ReplyDeleteHow about the same color as the larger painting to the right of this one? IMO any of the brighter colors would really distract from the painting itself Viewers should be at looking/appreciating the painting - not the frame
ReplyDeleteI like the purple, orange or green because they make the colours jump and the paler colours will just blend in. I also think it will be amazing next to the wooden cabinet full of bright ornaments. Kj
ReplyDeleteThe blue border with black is my pick.
ReplyDeletePURPLE 💜 PURPLE
ReplyDelete#Lacy 💙
Stew should be making quilts.lol
ReplyDeleteI think keep it black...
ReplyDeletePeta

ReplyDeleteI like the light blue the best
ReplyDeleteWhite!!

White
ReplyDeleteI like the black border with a different color on the outside. The black makes the colors pop. Of course, it needs to be blue. Perhaps match a blue to the big bottom fish's snout.
ReplyDeleteLight blue or green
ReplyDeleteLacy and her daughters look so cute together like peas in a pod.
Cold wet miserable day I’m at work.
On second thought.... If you are going to put it in the front entrance - maybe keep it black. It will go with the shelving unit you have there.
ReplyDeleteAgree, keep it black
DeleteI like the black. 😀
