Well.... it's supposed to be a gorgeous day today.
And we have virtually NOTHING to do!
Stew went out yesterday afternoon and found this for me:
So, let's keep our thumbs crossed for some relief!
And now... I'm going to roll over and cat nap some more.
ONWARD...
OH I have a confession to make.
When I went out yesterday to grab some lunch, I had to pass a gift shop here in town. And I kinda went in.
They were having a 30% off Christmas stuff sale. And I kinda bought these:
ABOVE: Don't ya think they will look gorgeous on the Credenza by the front door? Yeah, I thought so too. They are all sparkly, but that doesn't show much in the photo... but they are sooooo pretty.
Originally I'd planned on a trip over to Tauranga today. But we are both just so tired I canned it.
Instead, we are going to Tirau again. It's only a little drive away. And they have some lovely shops we can browse in. The Christmas Heirloom Shop in particular.
YES, Stew said something derogatory... can't remember what though. It does not hurt to LOOK right?
One of our favourite eateries is there too... so a nice lunch will be had I'm sure.
We are now in Tirau. We've had a nice wander around the shops... along with hundreds of other people.
ABOVE: Now at our favourite eatery... The Cabbage Tree Cafe.
We expect a LONG wait for our lunch as they are busy as.
But that's OK... you expect that here.
3.45 pm: Home after a lovely day out. Our lunch was lovely, open sandwiches with fries and a milkshake.
ABOVE: When ya drink comes out and looks amazing, then you realise it's more than HALF FULL of froth. Just a bit of a rip off.
ABOVE: We didn't go out with an agenda, just looking. Stew spied this Number 5 and we just had to get it!
It will look lovely on the wall by the front door (outside)... appropriate as there is a goldfish pond by the front door in our new home. And well hell, it's BLUE and has FISH!!!
Another nice day doing bugger all. Not gunna last much longer that's for sure.
Signing off for the day.... and thankful it's much cooler tonight.
I love your new number "5" - it is so you! Glad you and Stew managed to enjoy a day off from chores and packing.
