Thursday. Hospice Shop duty at 9 am. Which means I have to pull finger out and get myself ready in quick time.
I can't imagine having to get ready and go to work EVERY weekday morning!
How the hell do people do it ... and run a family home?
So very glad I don't have to do it. And thankful. Very, very thankful.
Here in Auckland getting to work on time can be a nightmare with the traffic. So I will be leaving early, just like the other 99,000 people on the motorway at 8.30 am. That is probably a conservative number!
I'm not going to say anything about 'treasure' today... we all know I'm bound to find something that I just have to buy!
*sigh*
I was watching a TV programme last night about Hoarders. And one lady kept spending all her money in Thrift Shops, and her home was just full to brimming with 'stuff' she just had to buy.
I'm a little bit worried I might end up like that! I can't resist a bargain.
Nah, on second thought ... it won't ever happen, I like my home to be neat and tidy.
My desire to get a better camera is on the back burner for now. I am hoping to buy one with cash after the Christmas holidays. With 'Puppy Money'. Hopefully Coco has a decent litter when we next put her with Mac!
Originally we had puppies for the experience, now... it's for the love of having puppies AND the cash!
The puppies are so much fun to have around... the kids are already looking forward to it.
With the next litter I am going to involve them much more in Coco's and the puppy's daily care. It will be a valuable experience for them.
I'm not too sure of the timing yet, but I'm hoping we have puppies over the summer holidays, then the kids really can spend more time with them.
Wow, I've waffled a lot already today!
I ate half a packet of Rice crackers last night.
I was doing 'it' again. At least I hadn't had dinner as well.
So... another day to make good choices is in front of me.
God help anyone who stuffs it up.... oh hold on... that would be ME. It is down to ME. And I will ... WILL ... WILL be on track today.
And tomorrow. bla bla bla.
ONWARD...
WOW... it's late afternoon and I've just realised I've not updated today!
Once I got home from the shop I had lunch and watched the TV to relax.
I did find some treasure... of course I did:
ABOVE: lots of lace, toys, little folding thingee, blue heart glass bottle, seahorse ornament, pretty little plate and some doilies.
ABOVE: we support the Waikato Rugby team (The Chiefs), so when I saw this Waikato Beer handle I had to get it for Stew.
I'm pretty sure he will like it. *smiles*
Right, now I need to get dinner started. Tonight's dinner will be lamb chops and vegetables.
Well thank god things have gone smoothly today. I don't think I could handled another day like yesterday.
Moving on....
Dinner was lovely. The evening has been nice... and now I'm going to hit the sack early for a change. Tired.
End of Day: a good day. Still got my mind on events yesterday, but will get over it... eventually.
nite nite
I recommend a Canon.
ReplyDeleteI'd be a tidy hoarder too! AKLD traffic we experienced it last month and I tell you it's exhilarating I loved it the hustle bustle noise, BUT it was ohhhhhhh so nice to come home to Taupo traffic!! Just take yr licence today and nothing else to the hospice so you don't spend!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I watched that TV programme too and thought of you, but i know your house is tidy! (and clean)
ReplyDeleteI thought the Dr should have taken the thrift shop owner to visit the hoarders house, so then she wouldn't tempt the poor lady with vouchers etc.
I am thankful I don't have to go to work daily too! Really thankful!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the new puppies! ♥♥♥
Show us the treasures then....
