NO # THREE CUTE BAG....

ABOVE: here's Number Three!  OOO I do love these bags.... and today I'm going to Spotlight in Panmure (they have a really neat selection of fabrics there)... to get another lot of fabric to make one for a girl in Aussy.

I'm looking forward to the weekend... it's a holiday weekend here in New Zealand, Labour Day Weekend... so Stew and the kids will be home for 3 days.

Not that we are doing anything special... but still... Stew is tired and needs a break!  Now all I have to do is remember not to load him up with jobs!

ONWARD....

I went to Spotlight at Panmure.... couldn't find any fabric I liked... so was heading to Spotlight in Manukau when I remembered I had a lady coming to the house THIS MORNING to talk with me about Brylee's anti-social behaviour at school.   YIKES... rushed home, beat her here by 3 minutes!

Upshot... more observations to be done on said child, more meeting, more 'strategies' to put in place... WONDERFUL...(heavy sarcasm)... I felt like saying "Read my lips, she won't change"... but I bit my tongue.

Off to Manukau NOW....

ABOVE:  who needs a cushion?  Dat's what sister's are for!   LOL

I found some fabric in Manukau... so am now working on another bag... oh AND I found fabric for Emily's bag too!  Can't show that though... it's for when Emily GETS HERE.  *smiles*.. only 18 weeks to go!

It looks like we are in for great weather this Labour Weekend, which is not 'normal'... it's usually dreadful weather on Labour Weekend...  So, there will be lots of people heading off to their holiday homes, beaches etc I should think.

End of Day:  and I've been sewing (what's new)... almost finished no# 4 bag... but need some Eyelets and 'D' rings to finish it off... grrrrrr.
nite nite.

Oooh yay!! Just got a call from the boss to shut up shop and head home so that's SUPER news...

So rather than go home, I am going to SPOTLIGHT and DAVID'S EMPORIUM!! Yay! Then pick up missy moo from daycare and head home for a night with the inlaws!

Have a good weekend... so glad the sun is out - makes you feel SO much brighter all around!

  8. Brylee's only 10 right? Of course she'll change! My girl is 11 and last year she was very difficult to handle. This year she's way better and I'm pretty sure next year she'll improve some more. I'm pretty sure yours will get better over time. So keep trying.

  13. Chris-

Those bags are simply wonderful. I am thinking I might need one to have as my "Interpreter survival bag" for when I actually get certified as an interpreter. I would be interested to know where you got the pattern.

  14. Hi Chris, I'm back from vacation and just finished catching up on your posts I missed. Phew! You've been busy.

A very happy and belated birthday wish to you. It looks like you had a wonderful time and received so many lovely gifts and surprises. Yeah you.

Your stay open bags are gorgeous-- Love all the fabrics and color combinations, and the overall concept is fantastic. My totes are like a bottomless pit and I can never see or find anything in them-- like the one I carried for a week on our recent vacation of New York. Oy.

Hope all is well in your world. Cheers, jj
