I made this little cutie last night. She is for sale. She's lovely and bright... and... CAN YOU SPOT SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH THIS ONE???
Today I definitely have to get some housework done.. I am picking my Mum and Uncle Ron up from the airport tonight.
I have to tell you all... I am thrilled to bits with how well I am doing on this new diet! There hasn't been a single day in almost two weeks that I have felt out of control. NOT ONE, and it's the best feeling ever. No more stuffing it up and pigging out. No more feeling like a bloody failure. This ROCKS!
So, I decided to catch a movie this morning, before tackling some housework. I'm loving seeing lots of movies... who cares that it's on me own! I didnt' go for years and years so I'm catching up!
I saw 'Valentines Day'... didn't expect it to be great... but it was lovely! My snacks today? HOT Cooked Chicken Drumsticks (3) from Foodtown and a plum! Very nice they were too. No popcorn or lollies for this chick!
DUCK'S DIFFERENCE: well almost everyone has guessed it! EYEBROWS!!! You are all clever buggers!
Now...sadly, I must do that friggin housework.....
I don't feel like cooking tonight... so the family will have takeaways. Hmmmm... wonder what I shall have? NOT a burger and chips obviously....
End of Day: it's been a neat day... and now I am just killing time till I got out to the airport to pick up Mum and her man. nite nite.

ReplyDeleteGoing to get your lining fabric tomorrow and start on your Dottie Bag. I hope to have it done and in the mail by Wednesday!
Have a great day, and keep up the good work with your diet!
XOXO,
Cyndi
WOOHOO! Congrats on rocking the new diet. I know when I get off the sugars I can lose weight and stay strong as long as I make it through those first few days of withdrawals.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteMe thinks its the eyebrows on the ducky!
ReplyDeleteI really like how the white trim on a few of your ducks has that black edge. It's groovy. The difference? Hhmmmm this one's a girl? [The bow might indicate that :o)]
ReplyDeleteDo you have any websites you use for your carb info?
John has a freind who started the no carb diet and has lost 7 kilos in 10 days, dang! Maybe i could be a convert afterall lol
So glad the diet's working for you.

ReplyDeleteHi Chris, She looks nice with the brows! You sound like you're in a very good place mentally. I couldn't be happier for you!
ReplyDeleteGreat thinking Chris... chicken drumsticks is no hardship right? Well done.
ReplyDeleteI tell ya, I am glad I am not shopping at a store for your ducks, I would be hard pressed to choose ONE!
ReplyDeleteShe is a dear little duckie! Love her eyebrows. Gives her a neat expression!
And SO WELL DONE on the diet! go girl! xx
Your duckies are so cute but you don't need me to tell you that. Here's a recipe that I finally tried and it rocks! I found it on the following blog. She has lots of low carb ideas. http://cleochatra.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteTry these. We might have them for tea tonight as burgers. have safely doubled the recipe.
Oopsie Rolls (Gluten-Free Buns)
3 large eggs
pinch of cream of tartar (1/8 tsp)
3 ounces cream cheese (Do not soften)
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Separate the eggs and add cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff (if you're using the same mixer, mix the whites first and then the yolk mixture). Using a spatula, gradually fold the egg yolk mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to break down the whites. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and spoon the mixture onto the sheet, making 6 mounds. Flatten each mound slightly.
Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly softer, not crumbly). Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then remove to a rack and allow them to cool. Store in a loosely open sack and allow to rest on the counter before use (otherwise they might be too moist). Can be frozen.
Notes: If you are making these to be savory (for burgers) you can add dry mustard and dill or other seasonings to the yolk mixture. If you want a more sweet roll, add a very small amount of stevia natural sweetener to the yolk mixture.
Cheers.
Congratulations on the success you are having on your diet. I know even one pound lost is a thrill!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you lost it in the water while you were swimming??? See, you just need more swimming. :)
That was so cute about your duck - I was going to say the hairbow! LOL You are having such great luck. Maybe it is because Easter if right about the corner . I have seen some of the cutest fabric eggs made by quilters that would be cute with them?
There was a site I visited this year and the gal was selling tooth fairy pillows. The had a pocket to put the tooth in so the fairy could pick up the tooth and leave the money. But it had blossomed into a full grown business. She had a complete note that was addressed to each child and they were so special.
Maybe you have found your "niche" too. This is one of those times that you can "pat" yourself on the back -because at least you tried and had a lot of fun experiencing it. And you are so talented with it! Won't be long before you are "Quacking along"! LOL
Glad you enjoyed the Movie and that the diet is going well!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! I must admit it is hard when you have to watch what you are eating!
Cook from fresh is my best advice!
Off to make dinner!
Thanks for popping over to my blog!
Hugs Ruth

ReplyDeletewe had scrummy fish fillets and vege bake for tea yum yum
YAY for the diet - you're doing very well!
ReplyDeleteAnd as to the movies, it's about bloody time you did something for yourself girl - well done.
I'm glad you are having such great progress with your new way of eating! I need to get back to it!! Either that or go buy a new wardrobe :(
ReplyDeleteI love going to the movies by myself! I haven't seen Valentine's Day yet, I wonder if it will make it to the $3 movie theater soon.
Whoa, I gotta check out your diet then! I don't like mine much. Did you mention it before what you are doing?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to buy a duckie. How could I pay?? Paypal???? Or is there another way? XXathy. Let me know, and if it's a hassle, don't worry about it. Being in the UK, well, I could send you the cash in the post or as I said Paypal or something similar????
