I showed you one I got finished yesterday.
After that one, I did two more.

Today is craft group here in the Village, and I will no doubt go down and make more Scrappy Dolls, using the new faces.
But first, it's the day I do most of the housework. So that's what I will be doing for the first couple of hours or so.

3.40 pm. Clearly no one missed me?
Pffffffft.
Well, my day went as planned. Got all the housework done.
Packed my trolley and took off to Craft Group at around 10 am.
I spent 4 hours joining bits of fabric together for Scrappy Dolls, then did three faces.
Once they are made into dolls, I will show you them. They are slightly different from yesterday's faces, but in the same vein. Cute.
There were quite a few ladies turn up at the usual start time of 1pm, and we stayed there a bit longer than usual. Lots of chatter, laughs and lemon cake, of which I had none.
I'd taken down a salad to have for my lunch, which was rather nice.
In other news. I got an email from our bank this morning, seems there's been some 'unusual' activity on our credit card, so they have blocked the use of the card.
Stew sorted it out. Seems two online purchases we made recently got charged TWICE by the retailer. Just as well the bank noticed before we got a monthly statement.
Luckily also, the bank reversed the charges, and we are not out of pocket. We now just have to wait for a new credit card ( which we use very infrequently I might add). I think our days of buying things online are over.
6.50 pm, and I'm ready to sign off for the day.
I did a shit load of work today and am tired. I doubt there's much on the telly to watch.. as per usual really.
So, might be an early to bed scenario for me as well.

Love the faces. I think that is a good variety for people to choose from so I would leave it at those choices.

ReplyDeleteYou said that it's just as well the bank noticed before you got your monthly statement. Firstly, who gets a monthly statement these days? Don't you check online all the time? Sorry but waiting for a statement (surely not mailed to you??) is not happening these days? I check all of our bank accounts via an app nearly every single day. Regarding the dolls, I like the happy faces much more :)
ReplyDeleteYES, we do get our monthly statement MAILED to us every month. We do intend cancelling it though. Stew checks our accounts regularly, but had not done so in a couple of days, therefore he missed the double billing on this occasion.
DeleteI suppose your mail there is safe, ours is not so we don't get any mail at all now. We can travel for a month and come home to no mail :) Yes, it sure pays to check accounts often.
DeleteThe happy scrappy dolls are so cute. My husband still likes to receive a hard copy of our bank statements monthly as well as keeping a check online. Old school and all o that lol. Whatever suits you is fine I say! Great work by your Bank too!

My son and I had it set up when he got stung once long time ago ASB told us about it and we both did it.
I had to get new credit card last month due to same double billing issue and then last week, after I almost had a heart attack while checking my regular bank account as I do every morning, I found that the Tax bill debit had come out TWICE !! That made $2210 come out at one time. I hastily moved some funds from savings to my checking immediately and then went straight to bank. They resolved the issue (the funds were reversed which would process overnight thank goodness) and they issued me a new debit card immediately as well, just as precaution, which they always do when this type of thing happens. But talk about a SHOCK. And I also get dings on my phone for my Amazon card, credit card too. Dawn P. Albany, GA USA
