HEADING HOME, BYE BYE BRISBANE

Our trip over here might not have been for very long, but I feel like we packed in quite a bit!

We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, loved seeing and spending time with family and friends, enjoyed some new adventures, Gold Coast, Riverboat cruise, Ferris wheel, Draculas (boo), and of course, really had fun doing some shopping.

We don't do that much shopping in such a short period of time usually.

I have an almost entirely new wardrobe, and Stew has a few new outfits as well.

This morning we will leave our motel and visit Rowena, Aleisha and their kids again, before heading into the city to return our rental car.

We will then get a shuttle out to the airport, in time to have a late lunch, and then a wander around the airport before our flight home.

We will have a few hours to kill at the airport in fact.  Better to get there with plenty of time eh?

I am nervous about getting on the scales when I get home, even though I have tried my very best to keep my 'diet' on track.  I have only had a few things that I wouldn't normally, like birthday cake.  I've kept a tight reign on portions too, so fingers crossed there isn't too much damage done.

Also, we have done a fair bit of walking, bearing in mind Stew's knee has been extremely painful, so not fast walking.  Just ambling along.  Shopping is exercise right?  lol

So, time will tell... tomorrow morning I'll be facing those scales.

Right, time to get a move on, pack up our stuff and get out to the kids houses.

Catch ya later.

ABOVE: The little girls took us down to the dam.

ABOVE: Walking down the driveway to hopefully see a kangaroo, but it had hopped off. Oh well, maybe next time.

ABOVE: This lizard was is the middle of the backyard just now. He was pretty BIG. His tongue was amazing, multi-coloured and loooooong !

ABOVE: A close up. I reckon he was more scared of me than I was of him. 🤣😅

12.53 am and we are safely landed in Auckland.  Still waiting to get off the plane and head home.
Catch ya tomorrow.

NITE NITE.

What a fabulous break you’ve had and you fitted in so much fun, family and shopping. Just love a shopping holiday lol my plan of action usually is that I buy the family gifts first so I don’t forget anyone and then it’s open slather shopping for my husband and I! Bliss lol. Safe travels home. Thank you for taking the time to share your holiday with us 💓
