THAT WAS DELICIOUS

Well... it's another 'rest day' for me.

I must be getting old...cos I don't feel like doing a damn thing today.

ABOVE: We tried the Chocolate/Caramel Instant Pudding last night.

I added some sugar free caramel sauce to mine as well.

I could only eat a very small portion, having had a decent dinner already.

Stew ate all of his!

It was quite sweet, but still very nice.  I think it would have been better with some actual fruit, but I couldn't be bothered getting up to prepare fruit.

My plan for today is to watch the last two episodes of Coronation Street.  And that is all I have on my agenda for now.

I certainly don't want to do any painting!  I'm done painting I hope.

Catch ya later.

So far today has gone as per usual.

Up.  Shower. Make bed. Tidy house.  Washing on.  Water gardens.  Top up the pool. Dishes away.

I also decided I should give my new sandals a go, before the wedding on Saturday.   I was hoping they wouldn't hurt my feet.

ABOVE:  I have only had them on for 10 minutes, and am so relieved to say they are SUPER COMFORTABLE!   I will get heaps of wear out of them, unlike some other shoes I've bought and simply could not wear after even a short time.

WIN WIN.

It is now 10 am, and I'm about to settle down and watch Coronation Street.
Which, as Lynda said, is not that good anymore.  It's gone the same way so many soaps go, all violence, crime, murder, unfaithfulness, and so on.  Nothing like it used to be many, many years ago.  I don't know how much longer I will be bothered watching it to be honest.  Most of the characters are fairly new, and don't actually interest me.

ABOVE:  My afternoon.

I spent a couple of hours making a start on that puzzle, then I took Stew to the pub.
After dropping him off, I went to the kids house, and spent a couple of hours there.

Home with the man now, and we are watching the telly, and I've done a bit more sorting of the puzzle pieces.  I forgot how much your back starts to ache leaning over a table.  So I'm stopping now.
Catch ya tomorrow.

  1. Like you I still watch Coronation Street but hate that it's all jails and crime now. The balance seems to be gone and it's a very dark show now. I'll keep watching for now but am not enjoying it like I used to. Surely there can be story lines that don't involve lying and cheating and murders? Oh well...

There's a lot of soap watchers complaining ATM. New writers are getting rid of popular actors and storyline are crap. Not like the.good days when we couĺdnt wait to see what happens. Kj

Home and Away has gone like that too, full of crime. I haven't watched it for about 15 years, the ads are bad enough

  8. I was wondering if you were still doing puzzles. It has been ages since youv'e entioned one. I still do them with my Mom at her cabin (down the driveway) when she is there. But, I have not been doing them at home since Covid. I probably should. Better than Netflix for hours.

I am in the UK and have watched Corrie from the start (although I had a break for a few years when I was in my thirties). I agree that it is all about infidelity/violence etc. and wonder if the writers think there are no happy couples/families. I suppose it would be a bit boring though to watch. I would like to live in their meake-believe land though, where everyone in jospital seems to get a room to themselves (highly unlikely to even get a bed at the moment. As for court proceedings, they all seem to be done and dusted within a few weeks instead of the months that it usually takes to do a full investigation. Not to mention the number of "wrongly imprisoned" people - is there anyone left on the street who hasn't been in prison? The other problem in watching it for so long is that you see the same old storylines come round. It's on 3 times a week here but if I miss a couple of episodes I don't bother to watch on catch-up tv anymore - it's more that it is any easy watch after dinner. I do enjoy hearing about your family life and house move etc. though, and fingers crossed the right buyers turn up soon.
