I convinced Stew to keep my car out of the garage (for now) so I could use the garage as a 'rumpus' room....so now we have:
ABOVE: the sewing corner...
ABOVE: the gym end.... and...
ABOVE: the end where I can put extra beds for visitors... so I'm really happy.
This should be fine until winter and then we can decide if my car should come in again. Until then... it's great!
Seems like today is going to be a lovely day, so I think we will most likely go to the beach. The kids will love that.
ONWARD....
ABOVE: well we didn't go to the beach afterall. As it was a glorious day Stew wanted to finish off cleaning the house and paths.... so that's what he has been doing. My god, he even waterblasted the footpath ... and it looks amazing compared to everyone else's path... our's is white!
While he did that I sewed more heart blocks... I am going to make us a Heart Quilt now. It's nice to do something for us for a change.
End of Day: well it's been a lazy afternoon/evening.... I made macaroni cheese with bacon and onion for dinner...but I had veges and cheese sauce, no pasta like his nibs and the kids. Doing well with keeping the carbs down. Lacking energy though. nite nite.
Good on you for going back to WW, I love the new program especially the online part as it makes tracking so much simpler, though you pay extra for that for me it is worth every penny. Have an awesome day :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, the beach. I remember what the beach is...It's like beach weather here - a blistering 53 degrees F. Your garage made a good rumpas room and extra sleeping space!! You are so tricky!! Happy New Year!...debbie
ReplyDeleteRumpus Room.
ReplyDeleteI have rumpus apartment.
Not quite the same.
Cool!
Has the garage door been fixed? and at least any potential snorers!! can sleep downstairs eh!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, that's my dream! However, because in certain parts around me that have some crime, I have to keep vans in garage at all times. Oh, how I wish I could turn it into a fun game room!
ReplyDeleteJust caught up on your recent activities - you have been one busy woman! Those quilts are wonderful - I am envious of how talented you are!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great new year!
Well done on the rumpus room - a great idea. Loving your heart quilts, glad you are doing one for yourselves. Have a great 2011! (I am back at WW next week, feel the need!)
ReplyDeleteDoes Rumpus Room equal "escape from kids" room? I have one of those and it's attached to the side of my house - i'm about to get a connecting door put in possibly a big mistake ... lol
ReplyDeleteI like it that you say "waterblast" instead of "pressure wash" it is much cooler. And "footpath" instead of "sidewalk"
ReplyDeleteNothing like a man working/cleaning to make me all excited hehe ;)
