Yesterday I got another parcel in the mail....
And inside: lots of lovely fabrics from Catsngrams.... she is a fairly new blogger friend of mine... THANK YOU so much for having a Giveaway Chick! And thanks for posting all the way to New Zealand!
ABOVE: the fabrics I won! Totally gorgeous! Into the 'stash' they go!
In fact, I am going to be looking at ALL my fabrics today... as I intend to move them all upstairs into one of the linen cupboards.... so I have all my 'sewing stuff' in one place....
That means I have to move all the blankets and pillows down into the cupboards in the garage... so I am going to be busy!
I am thinking... it is a good thing the kids are home from school ! The little horrors can help me!
ONWARD.... I'm thinking... if I find some fabrics that I really don't think I will ever use.. I might just have a GIVEAWAY! Let's see....
RAIN... yep we've been getting quite a bit in the past few days... and it's lovely! It's cooled things down a lot... and my lawn is starting to turn GREEN again! Yaaaa.
ABOVE: My hallway now... *sigh*... what was I thinking? We have visitors coming in a few hours... and they are staying for dinner.. and I'm turning the house upside down? Derrrrr..... better get a move on!ABOVE: Yaaa, DONE. As you can see, I don't have much of a 'stash' yet! But there are at least 3 projects in there waiting to be started! At least 3! AND I found two more PHD's! OOOps.
PHD = Projects Half Done.... so now I have 3 PHD's too. Damn, I don't like PHD's.
Jeanie: I'd like to think I'm just really lucky! *smiles*
End of Day: and it's been a lovely day! My visitor arrived with her little boy, who played with Brylee and Griffin all afternoon/evening. Jackie and I made some cards during the afternoon.. which was lovely... and when our men arrived home from work we got Fish and Chips for dinner... so I didn't even have to cook! It's been a really good, productive day. nite nite.
Congrats on another win :-) - have a great day bloody freezing here today.
ReplyDeleteYou are really something, Chris! I don't usually advocate betting, but have you considered playing the lottery? You could bend your morals a bit on a big jackpot and repent later, ya know. :P
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh those fabrics I can see being a baby quilt? perhaps BUT remember finish your other ones first!! WE HAD glorious rain all afternoon and most of the night PAY off today freezing but sun is out.(we havent had rain decent rain for seems like forever)
ReplyDeleteWe've come home from temps in the high 30's somedays to talking about lighting the fire last night! Not good, I'm not a winter person.

I've never won fabric in any of the giveaway I enter in. Not that I need fabric! I have a walk-in tiny storeroom/bomb shelter in my flat dedicated to storing my fabric.
ReplyDeleteI think people "make sure" you win 'cause you make such great things out of the winnings. Or maybe you are just really lucky.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you won. you sure kicked that closets beeehind! Wowzers. I keep my bag hangin out in the open that you gave me to admire it. CAn't think of a nicer person to win. Those fabrics are really cute. I love the hippo one!
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE LIKE MY SISTER..SHE IS ALWAYS WINNING THINGS..ME?..NOT A SAUSAGE!
ReplyDeleteYou need some of those sucky uppy vacuum bags me thinks! That will reduce the pillows, blankets and material to almost nothing!
ReplyDeleteChris! I sooooo need to catch up on your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're doing great though! Love the blog pic at the top -- it looks so beautiful!

You ARE a lucky tart then aren't you!!!!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see what you do with all the lovely fabric :0)
I remember seeing the photo of your lawn and thinking boy you really need some rain. I know it takes a while to come right as ours is the same after we've had one of the tents up for over week. Glad the greens coming through again.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win. You are very organised, try as I might I can never get mine to stay like that for too long.
sigh, you're tidying AGAIN?... LOL :) looks fantastic... now I have a question for you....
ReplyDeletewhat do you do to relax hmmmm? :)
Anne
lucky you!! awesome fabric, you are so crafty! I wish I could paint!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the win :)) Well deserved - you are such a great supporter of everyone's blogs that its nice to see you getting some rewards in the way of winning some goodies. :))
ReplyDeleteI have a pretty large house with lots of rooms, but I can't find one just for sewing!! I usually use the dining room cause the table is big and the light is good, but I hate to set up the machine and get going and then have to pick everything up.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, you are a Lucky Ducky, aren't you!!?? I can't say that I've won much in my life. I won $20 in Bingo about 5 years ago. That was the last time! lol...debbie
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning. Looks like you had a very full day. Can't wait to see what your winnings turn into.
